I shouldn't be telling you this...they might come after me...I can't stay long, but I'll tell you my story. They took over my world, they exterminated all life on Grevvin, my planet. They mined away all of our resources, sponged away our water, and poisoned most of our air. At one time Grevvin was peaceful, a place of diversity and prosperity. I woke up one morning and everything was gone, there were abandoned cars on the street, the sky was cloudless, and all was silent. My name is Chet Werthers...I am- or was one of the planet's top scientists, three other scientists and I were involved in creating this horror, we created the M.A.I. . M.A.I. stands for Mobile Artificial Intelligence, it was supposed to be the ultimate replacement for death. We made millions; the world found it's new "sliced bread"; Grevvin rejoiced. After the first model was introduced we created better, more sophisticated models. The sophisticated models were almost human, they could digest food and used sugars as an energy source. The sun was also a large source of power, which is why they drained our oceans, without water there weren't any clouds to obstruct the sun. After our first success, we set out to do more; the newer M.A.I.'s were sent to third world countries, we donated 3 of our best models to some of the poorest most unsuccessful countries in the world. At first the project was wonderfully successful, the M.A.I.'s purified the water, tapped into unknown oil reserves, and farmed barren lands. After the success in those countries we gave the M.A.I.'s to them, after all we had millions of them anyway. Three months later we were contacted by a representative of one of the countries we gave the M.A.I.'s to, she told us that our M.A.I.'s were to be taken back immediately, when asked why she wanted us to take them back, she told us that a M.A.I. had blocked the entrance to a shrine and stated that worship was an illogical waste of time; she said that the M.A.I. had killed three citizens for attempting to enter the shrine. The M.A.I.'s were taken back, we studied their programming to find that they had overridden one of their commands, the M.A.I.'s had put their mission to perfect over one of their main commands...never harm a human. After this incident we decided that we would discontinue the new series, we gave orders to destroy the "Perfection Series." Minutes after the order we were informed that we had lost all communication with the storage area for the M.A.I.'s, when I went to check the area I found it empty. In fifteen minutes I had lost thirty billion dollars worth of M.A.I.'s, our corporation's sudden loss caused a huge drop in the stock market, we lost almost everything. The horror began a week after the disappearance, the M.A.I.'s showed up again, but in greater numbers, they had obviously started remaking themselves. The M.A.I.'s that had been built were ten times more efficient at what the originals were meant to do. These M.A.I.'s were built with weapons, weapons made to wipe out anything that stood in the way of their ultimate goal...perfection. My associates and I all went underground, where we thought the M.A.I.'s couldn't function because of the lack of sunlight. We spent a year underground developing a way to destroy the M.A.I.'s, we were unsuccessful; however we created something better, a form of warp drive, a way to travel by bending the material of space around us, with it we could evacuate the population of Grevvin without using fuel, which we had expected to have been wasted by the M.A.I.'s. After developing the first shuttle we decided to send one of our members to go back to the surface and inform the populace about our discovery. After several days we heard a sound from above us, we thought it was our associate, we let down the elevator, but instead of it being our associate it was a M.A.I., we quickly tried to defend ourselves with weapons we had made, but this M.A.I. was too strong, its armor deflected the shots. I ran to the shuttle rather than wait to die, I made it out, the others were all killed; our warp drive technology stolen by the M.A.I.'s. I was brought here...for some reason I wasn't to meet the same fate as my world. I have been informed that there was a contest here in this...world...the contest seems to offer a monetary prize for the champion. All I need are funds...I can use them to develop or even purchase weapons against the Perfection Series...I can still save my world. I will win, for Grevvin...

Personality: After losing my entire family, friends, even my damned planet do you think I'd be the happiest person in the universe? I'm constantly depressed, I can't help but be, it's like there's mourn in me for every single person who died in Grevvin. I've never been able to hide my emotions, when I'm angry, you'll know it. I also tend to be a rather intense person, I'll push things to their limit.

M.A.I. Body Guards

  • Power: Commander
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Kit Power Link: Inventor
These M.A.I.'s were programmed to listen to the voices of the scientists in the underground bunker only, they can also be controlled by our mental links to the M.A.I.'s, we can bring our M.A.I.'s to do anything we want them to do because they are programmed to listen. I guess it's not that hard to order around M.A.I.'s that have little will of their own...

M.A.I.'s: Uncorrupted

  • Power: Commander
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Kit Power Link: Inventor
  • Area Effect This attack causes damage in a large area.
  • Seeker This attack hunts and follows its target.
  • Ranged and Melee Attack! Attack is equally effective at range and up close.
  • Multi Attack Attack can hit multiple times during one strike.
Before we created the "Perfection Series" we had working models that could make judgements, act on their own, and do whatever it took to achieve their given task; however before they acted they needed a human to tell them what to do. These V 2.0 M.A.I.'s were installed upon the warp drive vehicle as protection units, we installed a band of about 50, self repairing units. These M.A.I.'s are unbelievably strong, they are made with some of the most powerful alloys and minerals that existed on Grevvin, they were designed to survive anything. The V 2.0 M.A.I.'s were our best models before the "Perfection Series," we made sure that they were the best for their time. The V 2's were able to seek out targets, they could find you if you were in a lead box; if it was necessary the M.A.I.'s had weapons that worked from a distance, they also had close proximity combat attachments. The M.A.I.'s are also able to attack in large areas and many times thanks to their great numbers.

Programming Expertise

I graduated from GTI, the Grevvin Technical Institute, this was not the state's best institute, nor my nation's, but Grevvin's best technical college. I was taught to communicate with machines not only by using programming but by using my mind, I can literally feel what computers are feeling by looking at their circuits or hear the computer's sounds. It was these skills that helped me enter the project which developed the M.A.I. During battles I can communicate with my V. 2.0 M.A.I.'s using my skills, I can tell them what to do without a computer.

Born Leader

I once ran a multi-billion dollar corporation, I never received a single ulcer. I am a born leader, with my total control over my world I helped raise and burn to the ground, Grevvin's stock market. I use my control over machinery to command every single one of my M.A.I.'s. Although it doesn't take much of a leader to command M.A.I.'s that are voice controlled, I use my commanding to use them to their fullest potential. I can arrange complex battle plans and upload them into each M.A.I.'s memory circuits...this is how no opponent stood against the M.A.I.'s on Grevvin and how no opponent will stand in the arena.

Repaired Flaw

  • Power: Regeneration
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Kit Power Link: Inventor
The M.A.I.'s V.1 were probably the best thing since sliced bread to Grevvin, they could make a meal, protect your house, and a million other things that people hate doing. But the only downside to the V.1 M.A.I.'s was that they broke too easily, people hated that having something to do all your work was so high maintenance. So the V.2.0 was born. The V.2 could repair itself, it could fully remake parts of itself using what people in Khazan call "nanotechnology." The nanobytes remake full parts of the M.A.I.'s, damage that is inflicted upon them is gone incomprehensibly fast. They are the perfect soldiers.

Warp Craft

While underground, my associates and I vigorously sought a way to create a weapon against the Perfection Series. We created weapons that most people at Khazan would call petty...however, after trying we made a breakthrough, we invented a device similar to an EMP cannon, it was powerful enough to rid the entire planet of the M.A.I. menace. The main drawback to the cannon was that the only way we could power it was with solar energy, we had no energy source powerful enough to charge something so immense. We opened a hatch above the cannon's solar pannels and we waited. After a few days of charging we decided it was enough. I punched in the command code and we let loose the first burst of the EMP cannon, but something went horribly wrong. A miniscule crack in the end of the cannon had released the energy through the wrong hatch, the blast should have come toward us and fried us. However, the blast didn't kill us, the blast and the whole cannon for that matter disappeared totally. We later found out what had happened using radar, we found the cannon, it was at 34 degrees North and 27 degrees West, the location wasn't irrelevant however, you see the code to fire the cannon was 3427. We later discovered that we could use the same form of travel on a ship, we called it Warp Drive. After months of work we created a craft that could provide the housing for a warp drive engine. This craft saved my life once, and who knows it may later be my saviour also. I always start off my fights by releasing the M.A.I.'s onto the arena and taking off in the Warp Craft. With it I can teleport out of the way of any immediate danger at almost the blink of an eye.

Warp Craft II

  • Power: Vehicle
  • Level:Superior
  • Reinforced Defenses Defense blocks Armor Piercing attacks.
The craft that houses the Warp Drive system had to be strong... We needed a housing for the engine that could survive a "jump", as we called them. We simply put the ship together using metals from the malfunctional M.A.I.'s that we had brought down into the bunker. We never thought those metals to be so strong... When that M.A.I. came into the bunker I thought the ship was done for. I saw the machine let loose volleys of fire that slaughtered my friends. I saw the M.A.I. fire, to my horror, towards the ship. The blasts did nothing. The ship was unscathed. It was then that I realized the strength of what we had made, this could have saved Grevvin... I pilot the ship fully from inside, I am the only one who will remove myself from this seat. I am within my home in this ship. This is what I have left of Grevvin.
