 | Once there was a normal kid in a normal high school, named Norman Grey. He was a bully magnet and totally ignored by everybody, but was madly in love with a girl way out of his league. He hid his feelings from her for so long, they turned into a separate personality, Matt Paris.
Somehow, that second personality was manifest as a second person. He was cool, handsome, and everything that Norm wasn't. Norm found that he could live vicariously through his alter ego, experiencing what he was experiencing, and lifing the life that had been denied him. However, something went wrong.
His alter ego became more and more jealous, vengeful, and violent. Love is rarely a singular emotion. It is often mixed with others and, since his love was the unreqited kind, all his darker emotions got channeled in as well. He learned to his horror that he could experience what his double experience, but do absolutely nothing to change it. Now he is trapped, experiencing the darkest side of love through a demon he created, and can do nothing to stop. |

He is a conduit for pure emotional energy. All of Norm's emotions flow into him and give him strength. Love, hate, jealousy, rage; they all feed him and make him stronger.

He is formed of pure emotional energy. Although he generally takes the form of a normal-looking teenager, he has been known to transform into a swirling, red and black mass of liquid energy. This reperesents the battle within him between the "red" emotions of love and desire, and the "black" emotions of hate, jealously, and rage.

It is said that love and hate are both eternal. Well, that seems to be the case with him. Anything that can actually hurt him through his phenomenal endurance and energy form doesn't stick, since the wounds close almost immediately.

In a hall of mirrors he will see himself as he truly is, however, and the shock will bring him out of his rage.
