"I still say this is a Mistake. Free will or no, this is completely unnecessary! I could just as easily conscript one of my Alchemy students to... What? No, of course not. It's just.. Fine then. Now, where to begin. Oh. Her origin. I know merely what the Council told me, so it's basis in truth is of high question. I acquired her in exchange for a young thorn-in-my-side adept by way of the Council of Paradoxial Sentience. That, in and of itself is too long a story to relate so I shall give you a brief synopsis of what they told me. A young wraith's soul was being redeemed and thus was justly going into ascension. A young necromancer had somehow garnered this souls name and, without knowledge that she was in the process of ascension, put forth a summons. Now for some reason the soul answered the summons. The resulting ethereal damage and resounding spiritual backlash fused her soul with the necromancer's. Two souls, one body. Hard to swallow, I know but they swore it was the truth. They have a rather twisted view on the word truth. All in all though she has proved an excellent student. She's always had the best intentions, despite that unfortunate period a while back... but even that turned out to be for the better. Her frenzied release and subsequent transformation did catch the attention of Stabil. Stabil has proven herself quite the asset. She and I were meant for each other... What? No, not Stabil. Raven. She's like a Daughter to me."

Seku Grishum, self proclaimed Master of the Dark Arts and founder of Chorazin Services Inc.

Personality: "The dear girl. Such a grief she held in her times past. Oh yes, I have been watching her since she came to this realm with Seku. She felt herself an abomination, and most rightly so. The pure angst she bled was most pungent. Those times have past though. The silent innocence she held in her youth now shed way to show a calculating mind. Not an extremely gifted mind, mind you. Just one that knows how to use what it has. Her stoic silence tossed aside for thoughtful speech. Speaking only when she feels it necessary and in such away that proves the clarity of what she thinks. Now she is cold and calculating. But not so much as one would be led to think. There still swirls a warm glow within her heart. You didn't hear that from me though. She hides it so well. One never knows what to expect from Raven Angel. Ahhh, as I am oft to say The Unpredictability of Chaos always overturns the Static Pattern of Order. That is the Stability of Chaos!"

Stabil, Daemon of Chaos.

Empathy

"Emotions, the soul's language. Or so one is led to believe. In her time back at BattleMaster High Raven was, if one believes what one is led to believe, highly versed in the soul's tongue. On occasion one could even say she over-reacted to everything. The smallest little thing setting her off. Setting her to flight. Many of our more earnest conversations were interrupted by the ill timing of another at a delicate moment. It's not that she was over-reacting. She was merely speaking for two. After BattleMaster fell and Grishum vanished I feared I would never see Raven again. In vain, of course. When we met again, by mere chance, she had greatly changed. She controlled her emotions, rather them controlling her. Almost as if one such voice had been quieted. I can only guess. Now, while she seems more alive than she was, she maintains a facade of calculating stoicism. Letting her opponents soul speak to her, telling her their deepest secrets. She truly has changed."

Ravenna Cervantes, Fallen Member and former Mystrian.

"Feathers Black"

  • Power: Flight
  • Level:Standard
"The wings of an angel but the color of a demons blood. Perhaps it is a sign of her true fate. Perhaps nothing more than her body's genetic disposition towards black. Perhaps. Perhaps not. Who knows? Only time will tell. Then again Time doesn't really tell much, but does get told a lot. I digress. Her wings are a thing of beauty, velvety and soft. Light as air. She uses them well, even for one who has had wings their entire life, so to speak. The are merely flesh and blood, technically... despite the fact that they are a part of something so much more, so they cannot achieve great feats. Little more than natural flight. Even then it is something many fear and many long to do. So she is Gifted, the little one. With her feathers black as night..."

"Whispered Secrets"

"As I previously said Raven has learned to listen as intently as she at one time shut things out. She listens to everything. Her opponent's soul, whose voice is played out by way of emotions. The spirits that haunt her, who's time is running short. And the land around her, who knows all and sees all. Everything around her speaks and she listens. It is as simple as that. Her Opponents own soul works in ways to allow her to predict her opponents' next move. The land tells her all of it's secrets, it's hidden places and long forgotten things. And the Wraiths that hang on her every moment work to warn her of coming Doom..."

Ravenna Cervantes

"Sudden Changes"

"Chaos. Unpredictability. Order. Static Pattern. Their differences are far from that simple but they suffice. Chaos winding it's way through reality and finding it's way into everything. Order spreading it's pattern wherever it can. Just because Order is Static does not mean it cannot force change upon itself. No, It does it all the time.... but there is a pattern behind it. As all things most beings live under and adhere to Order. Chaos is just a part of the scenery. I have taught Raven that this is not acceptable. One must see that all Order will bring is destruction. For what happens when one's pattern is no longer needed? Entropy. One must walk not a straight line, for straight lines lead to a horizon that ends in oblivion. If one wishes to be somewhere the only thing that is stopping them is reality. Just another pattern. Mother Spiders tapestry. Rend holes in the tapestry and go where you wish. Nothing hinders you if you walk with Chaos. One must always respond to Sudden Changes in the patterns of others appropriately. What better way than to walk a crooked Line?"

Immunity: Teleportation

"It's almost funny what children learn when you're teaching them... Especially when it's something you've never seen done before. Raven, in all her training, found that in order to subdue one's victims one had to cut off all means of escape. I had had a problem with one certain child for some time, I finally was rid of him but only after quite a bit of trouble. After talking to Raven about it she brought forth the fact that I should have devised a way to keep him from teleporting. That had been his main gain over me, he was a true adept at the art of spatial manipulation and could teleport like nobody's business. She promptly went about devising an enchantment that could disrupt others abilities to "spontaneously move via higher means negating point b from the a >b>c equation". She had to use that terminology because some don't actually teleport per say... but I won't get into the real technicalities of it all. Suffice it to say that the enchantment disrupts all teleportive powers save her own. Rather Ingenious..."

"Supernal Outlet"

  • Power: Force of Will
  • Level:Standard
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
"The call from beyond is strong, but only can be heard if one is blessed with sight beyond sight and senses beyond mortal understanding. Raven, the poor girl, knows this all too well. Despite her link to the world behind the veil closing the lost souls, who have known Raven to be their only outlet for oh so long, have far from given up hope. In fact, they have redoubled their efforts. Now, the many wraith's who linger on after death, have chosen Raven to be their 'righting' vessel. Most of these spirits are fallen warriors from the Arena. So, not only does the girl fight to better herself, but to also attempt a few acts of vengeance. Woe be he who has angered the spirits beyond, for their wrath is mighty. Ahhh... may their souls find peace in the suffering they shall cause. Alas for the Living..."

"Oblivion's Tempest"

  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain Low Gravity
"Ahhh, oblivion. The End all of lost souls. Those who aren't redeemed and those who aren't collected by the minions of hell normally find themselves swallowed by the Tempest. Nothing more than Void given Form. Heh. How contradictory is that? Anyway. The rend in the Veil between our realm and the shadowlands is closing, but that doesn't mean that it isn't the perfect conduit for Oblivion's Tempest. Now, one would think that Raven would be required to know some form of Weather manipulation to gain control of the Tempest. Not so. What she does is she uses her innate spirit speaker ability to Weaken the Veil around the rend, technically forcing the Tempest out into this realm. Not that this gives her any form of control over it. I would think that just having Billowing black Clouds of Nothingness flying overhead accompanied by a chill wind and the odd bolt of black lightning would be enough. Apparently Raven does as well. Of course when one is in a situation where the reality of this realm is more or less in question causes the tempest to become unstable and disperse. Such as that of the Low Gravity Arena. The Disconnection to this world... what do you mean you don't need a necro-science lecture?!"

"I remember back at BattleMaster High when Raven first came. She was not one of the Mystrians but the palaces placement atop one of the more prominent hills gave her a very good view out across the campus, so it became her Perch. For an entire month that remained her spot, and for that month the entire hillside appeared to be nothing more than a black and white watercolor painting. On some subconscious level Raven was manipulating the fabric of reality so that instead of being a static image it reflected her mood. When she was sad everything became melancholy. Frightened the world would twist and writhe and even sometimes strike out at the source. Eventually she came to be able to control this ability, so that no one would get hurt by some unconscious reflex. It was a surprise to me whenever I discovered that she still used this ability. She had come to find that it was truthfully the spirits she had so long feared twisting this world in response to what she was inadvertently telling them to do. Defending their only conduit to a world that was no longer theirs. Now, they again warp reality under her control... but with a much darker purpose. Vengeance...."

"Deafening Silence"

  • Power: Smoke Screen
  • Level:Standard
  • Area Effect This attack causes damage in a large area.
  • Weakness: Limited Uses -Multi-Use
  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain Khazan Mall
"I cannot hear them. You cannot hear them. A very small gifted and tormented few can hear the cries of the lost souls we call wraiths. Raven is one of those few. Just because we cannot hear them does not mean that they don't have voices. Raven has found that if these sprits concentrate upon one person and one person alone that despite the fact that they cannot be heard they can drown out all other sound. Of course, this is all dependant upon the fact that there is little to no interference with the souls connection to this world. In Highly populated areas she has found that it nearly impossible for the spirits to produce enough of a wail to drown out the sound of the living. Plus, every soul has some kind of resistance to any number of Wraithly influence, so this only works say... ten times before the opponent becomes immune to the anti-noise. Since you don't like lectures I think I'll stop there."
