 | Defender of the Universe version 2.5 was originally designed to replace the first Defender a.k.a Voltron. However, due to budget cuts and internal politics the project was canceled and the designs ended up being auctioned off on ebay. QVC-man was the lucky bidder and is now happy that his shrewd bargain-hunting abilities has given him the chance to rid the universe of evil. |

Defender 2.5 can form a "blazing sword" which is a powerful blade of pure energy. However, Defender 2.5 has no reservations about using this sword at the onset of a fight, unlike the previous version Voltron, who would wait until he was losing the fight and then use the weapon.
