I have no idea what a planar isolation grid is. Honestly, don't ask me how it works. I can't tell you why it keeps the Secondborn trapped inside Sardis and out of the rest of Khazan. I'm not even sure what a negative distortion barrier is, even though I'm apparently the only person who can do it. Which isn't such a good thing for you, I guess, because in about two weeks, that barrier is going to drop. I've heard a lot of speculation on what might happen if they get loose. Trevor liked to use lots of ominous words like "incalculable destructive potential," when he would explain it to me. Scare tactics, really. Why should I be scared of the Secondborn? A negative barrier is what can control them, and I'm the one who makes the negative barriers. Maybe they're just like me. Maybe they just need to get out. I know what it's like being trapped in there. It's always like that. The more power you have, the more people there are trying to put a leash on you. Happened with my first "family" in Khazan. Bunch of damned hypocrites is all they were. Built me up, made me feel like I belonged somewhere, and then sold me out at the first chance. Know why? Because I didn't fit in with their plans. I guess I just wasn't "good" enough for them. So what happened? The sold me to a new "family." They didn't seem so bad at first. Gave me anything I wanted. Great food. Expensive clothes. Girls. Boys. Anything I asked for, and all I had to do was reinforce the negative barrier once a month. But they weren't any more of a "family," than the old lot. Just a bunch of cosmic nomads, and me, their stupid packhorse. So now I'm looking for a new family. A family who can appreciate me as a person and not a tool or a weapon. This time I'm going to get it right. I'm going to have a real family.

Personality: Mere words cannot express what he desires, (Nor words there be for such that can express,) When quill and fire crouch for all employmen, and whispered suf'ring screams for new address. Then lo, the errant poet begs for audience, The thoughts he brings, assuming stations great, His heartfelt prose resounds with humble failure, And thoughts, remaining high, must voiceless wait. -"A poet's dream." by Viis

Smoke Screen

  • Power: Smoke Screen
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Area Effect This attack causes damage in a large area.
Soliss used to tell me that I had control over the universal principle of nothingness. Soliss was an idiot. Practitioners of powerful magic always oversimplify and mislabel everything in an attempt to sound wise and philosophical. They can't even explain their own thoughts without a lot of self-contradictory doublespeak. Soliss was always babbling about places that don't exist and events that can't happen. Not that those idiot researchers were any better. The technicians were constantly talking about the placebolic stasis nodes conflicting with the static placebo field and blah, blah, blah. Not one of them ever managed to tell me where this stuff comes from or why I'm the one who gets to be in charge of it. It just happens. I can make this negative distortion barrier. As far as I know, it's this... bubble where stuff gets all messed up. Light, sound, motion, everything gets all jumbly, and anyone caught inside can't tell who from whatfor. My favorite name for it was always "total sensory depravation," because that one actually makes sense and sounds kinda cool.

Psychic Vampire

Take away light and sound and stuff and people start freaking out. They're usually pretty good at first, they step back and try to get their bearings. Then after that doesn't work they tend to lose their balance and fall over. Some remain calm and try to think through the situation. Most of 'em just start gasping really hard, like they can't find any air. The hysteria and everything just sorta feeds upon itself I guess, and after a while, even the most rational minds are reduced to infantile blubbering. Ok, I'll admit it. I didn't come up with that "infantile blubbering" part on my own. I heard Trevor say it.

Matter Animation

  • Power: Matter Animation
  • Level:Superior
  • Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance (only).
Sound, light and motion all go wonky inside the negative distortion barrier. (I hate saying it like that... "negative distortion barrier.") But with a little effort, I can spin them all around and inside out and upside down. I can even turn one into the other. It's like the international energy exchange bank in there sometimes. I always kept this part of it a secret, because I can just imagine what those jerks would try to get me to do if they found out about it. It's a pain to try and control it anyway. Usually I just play around and see what I can come up with.

Illusion Creation

I'm not a big fan of playing tricks on people, I guess because it's happened to me so much, but that doesn't mean I can't do it. Like I said before, it's kind of a pain to deal with it, but I can screw around with light and sound, and make all kinds of stuff come out. Once I made a really cool looking bat, and it flew around screeching and freaked a bunch of technicians out. I think Trevor knew it was me, but he never said anything.

Telekinesis

Light and sound are neat to play with, but motion is what gets stuff done. It isn't as much of a pain to deal with as light and sound, but I still get a headache after a while. The cool thing is, out in Khazan, I can use this all the time and nobody really cares. I was getting a soda the other day and some guy dumped his trash out his window right above my head. I stopped it and sent it all back up and into his window. I thought I might get in trouble but people started clapping and some lady offered to pay for my soda. I think I'm gonna like it here.

Spellcraft

  • Power: Spellcraft
  • Level:Superior
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
I'm getting pretty smart about how I use my powers. When you take all these kinds of energy, and put them all together just right, you can actually make real stuff. Messing with reality! I know you're saying "Wow, what a trip," but the truth of the matter is I'm not great at doing this yet. It takes so much time and concentration that it's not always convenient. I am practicing all the time, and I think that even a certain bitchy vampire I used to know would be impressed by how far I've come. I know Trevor would. God I miss him.
