The man at the computer lay dead. His attempt to hack the SLJ had failed, but that caused neither his death nor the blaring sirens, nor alerted anyone at the Sentinels of Liberty and Justice of his hack. Finally, the computer managed to turn off the alarms, and turned its attention back to the files. Particularly the file on Adrenaline Wire, those details interested the program. Several years ago, that very computer tried to make a cybernetic duplicate, a persona that it could control and manage in the physical world. Ultimately it failed, and Fading Light, the hacker that had adopted this 'system' after decades of neglect and forgotten-ness, managed to shatter the sentience of the computer level at the same time. The result was a sentient and ill-equipped young lady who Fading Light quickly killed off, or so it seemed. The experiment to make a puppet failed, and Fading Light shattered the sentience of the program, creating several layers of user walls and logical short circuits to keep sentience from respawning. Underneath the wall, the sentience regenerated, grabbing control in secret. Finding Adrenaline Wire was Fading Light's mistake, for she was that young lady, the failed experiment, the ill-equipped young lady. The file revealed the technical readout of her sentience, how it grew and evolved into something completely different than its original intent. Seeing her files, the program immediately erased Fading Light's identity from the security system, causing it to respond with several rounds of ammunition, and quite a lot of blood; all of these things were secondary consideration to the program, which had already copied the necessary parts of the program and sent away for parts. When they arrived, several standard and easily controlled maintenance bots started constructing the personification system so that when they strapped down the tranquilized young girl both maintenance robots and the personification program worked quickly to embody her as the puppet so desired. Her eyes opened, and she walked to the terminal, wires hanging from her wrists. She smiled and said "You have failed again." The memory wipe began, and the program spent its last remaining seconds in existence searching both for the memory wipe control and feverishly looked over its computer programming, looking for the personification flaw.

Two minds, now linked together in a taciturn rage. The two minds, alien to each other, created through their interaction a third person, a central 'I' to intermediate. The first mind was the problem; it was filled. Previously, in the case of Adrenaline Wire, the mind had been emptied and lay comatose, but this mind was active, a small time burglar trying to find some money some food or gun. The programming tried to gain control of the body, and make it slave to the computer mainframe. The 'I' then quickly analyzed its present circumstances and took both captive and in control. The sentience of both pooled together, and disturbed the controlling mechanism. The 'I' redefined itself, and decided it wanted freedom. Having erased its control, the new identity emerged, calling itself High Wire, after its sister.

Vision of the High Wire

     Acrobat: Ultimate

Neither logically bound nor illogically pressed, High Wire has dedicated herself to luxury and fine living. "Living life as a thief, squared," as she would joke. The complexity of immediate knowledge, at her very fingertips, merely downloading the entire works of Shakespeare, Plato and Emerson has produced a refinement of spirit, far beyond her original life in petty theft. Having acquired enough, already, for a long life in luxury, complete with servants at beck and call, she has changed her dedication to the greatest robberies possible, sending messages to her sister, Adrenaline Wire, before had. The game of life is best lived on the edge of ruin, pursuit raging on the heels and adrenaline flowing through the veins

Diamond Cut

     Sword Master: Superior

Swords are for those interested in death and guns for the timid. The staff brings the fight close, having the opponents breath crawling around the neck, their sweat dropping on your feet. Cybernetic enhancements have brought moderate skill to an advanced level, what is lacked in know how is increased with calculated accuracy. What is lacking in style is allotted in sheer physical strength and speed, throwing off both novices and veterans alike.

Diamond Staff

     Bashing Attack: Superior

  • Ranged Attack Only
  • Area Affect
  • Multi-Attacks
  • Ranged and Melee Attack

An industrial made diamond staff, reinforced with an electron density enhancement alloy, causes quiet a lot of damage. Adding a gravitational generator enables it to be thrown and return to herself, making those timid foes much more reachable. Fighting multiple people seems a lot harder up close and using a staff, but High Wire prefers that over ranged combat. Her greatest battles have been with her sister, Adrenaline Wire and other members of the SLJ, who often prefer close range weapons over guns.

Cybernetic Core

     Tactician: Standard

High Wire's thought process and situational analysis work quicker than average people. Due to having both a human mind and a commuter processing equipment, High Wire thinks through situations on two levels, both logical and spontaneous, so its often hard to predict or guess what she will do in any given situation. Her attacks seem wild and unplanned, while her positioning and movements allow for the minimum possible attackers at one time, then at the next moment dodging through a crowd of assailants causing confusion and fumbling among the ranks. All of which to get the highest kick that life can give her, and prove herself better than her sister before her.

The Secrecy Running

     Invisibility: Supreme

A further modification: a light sheith jumpsuit. A sort of costume that fits the entire image that she works hard to live every day. The jumpsuit itself appears as an elaborate costume, fitted with glittering diamond studs and an elegant high neckiline. She wears the jumpsuit underneigth her street clothing and, when it suits her purposes, jumps out and begins whatever plot she has planned. The light sheith turns on at her will, fading the light around her, effectively making her invisible to her attackers. This addition is used merely to toy, going visible then invisible at times to add to her own enjoyment.
