Mr. Graves

Poor lil' alien...well, maybe not little. One day everything's finally all fine and dandy, the next minute you're in some weird place on the side of some evil group's headquarters. It all started during the many years before Twitch met the first group of people who took him in. He used to wander, from planet to planet, always trying to look for some friends. Unfortunately for Twitch, everyone always seemed to either have it in for him, or disappeared during one of his nervous fits...it's not like it was his fault. I mean, it's not like the first thing that NORMAL people who see a multi-tentacled alien monstrosity causing everything around it to simply go bye-bye do is try to kill said alien, is it? Those mean people who wanted to hurt Twitch are what made him nervous anyway, usually, though just about anything did that. And then...well, they'd all be gone, but he'd be without anyone to make friends with...but then he met the nice people. One wasn't too nice at first, wanted to make sushi out of him, but he and the others were friendly soon enough. Twitch even grew to like the lady that helped him out...she even made shiny crystals for him to look at. It was rough going for a while, but they finally learned to communicate with him, and brought him to their castle, gave him a nice big room to stay in. The lady and her boyfriend even taught Twitch how to use his powers a little more effectively, and even let him get in a little practice on some bad people outside. But then, a bunch of them came, and the nice people wanted him to move the whole place somewhere safe...they described the place to him and all, and though he usually wasn't good at pinpointing any place in particular, he gave it his best shot...it worked, but as it happened he ended up sending himself to center of least resistance to his sort of powers. Unfortunately, he landed on this large building on an island floating in the sky...at least these people are kinda nice too. Instead of keeping him at their tower all day, they let him go out and practice on the bad people right out in the streets of the city below! It doesn't seem like everyone at this new tower likes him though. That large scorpion they call Spot doesn't seem to like having him around, I guess two pets aren't better than one...

Twitch really has a nice personality, aside from one glaring flaw: He has the nerves of a chihuahua on a triple-espresso binge. Even if no one's thinking thoughts of chopping him up or something like that, he's still quite on edge and tends to go into a teleporting frenzy at the slightest sign of danger.

     Teleportation: Ultimate

Twitch has seen quite a bit of the universe in his lifetime. He's been to many planets, but he doesn't have a spaceship or flying powers with which to move around though, so he creates portals that connect to other parts of the galaxy that he can move through. This is also quite useful in a battle, though not for moving himself around. Anything wishing to harm Twitch is in for quite a surprise when he opens up a portal right near them, sending them to some completely random corner of the universe. While this in itself isn't harmful, the fact that one, it's fairly likely that wherever they end up will be quite a bit of a walk back to Khazan, and two, there's also a good chance that you'll end up halfway sticking out of a rock or in deep space or something, as Twitch hasn't been everywhere yet, and quite often his portals thrown up at threats are highly inaccurate...

Or as Twitch calls it, "EEEE!"

     Gravity: Ultimate

  • Area Affect
  • Target Seeker

The portals that Twitch opens to deal with enemies are not only inaccurate, but usually unstable as well... until he closes them, they have this awful tendency to suck in the entire surroundings, including any people, items, or energies that happen to be in the area. This makes him particularly bothersome to deal with by heroes, as there's always the chance that any attacks they throw at him will be teleported to the Planet of Innocent Furry Creatures or some similar place.

Paralysis

     Paralysis: Standard

It's difficult enough trying to resist the pull of the portals that Twitch creates. If someone actually manages to get past them, Twitch usually just wraps them up in a tentacle or two until they can't move, and then toss them in himself. Anything to make the bad people go bye-bye...

Twitch-Sense Goin' Crazy!

     Environmental Awareness: Standard

Maybe it's just his nerves, but Twitch always seems to pick up on someone trying to shoot him or chop him up just in time to make the attack "go away" before it can reach him. It's not incredibly powerful, but he can generally sense the bad people when they get fairly close, wherever they are. Those bad guys are gonna get a nasty surprise if they think they can sneak up on Twitch...

SCRIIEEE!! (No Sushi For You!)

     Telepathy: Standard

And don't even TRY thinking you'll get away with pretending to be nice to Twitch when you really want to off him. Twitch communicates verbally with a series of screeches and other weird noises, but mentally he can pick up on intent and a few other things that run through people's heads, whether they realize it or not. Yeah, you were thinking "sushi" weren't you? I hear the Borzel Quadrant is nice this time of year... it took a bit of practice, but Twitch has finally figured how to keep track of the bad guys even in crowded places (as normally it'd be rather difficult to pull off if lots of people are running around scared because a big old mean-looking alien landed right next to 'em... gee I wonder who that could be...)

Uh-Oh.

     Super Speed: Standard

Marc Dollar: "... And exactly what is that racket going on outside, anyway?" Expendable Worker: "Well, ahh, sir, it appears that one of the tanks holding your personal stash of premium blend espresso here at the Tower has burst, due to one of the Saurids running loose again..." Marc: "... Before I have you... demoted... as punishment for lost espresso, would you mind explaining how that is the cause of the CURRENT noise?" Worker: "Ahh... remember that large alien creature we picked up a little while back? The one with the strange teleportation powers?" Marc: "...Yes..." Worker: "Well, it sort of got into the spill..." Marc: "... oh dear..."

Multi-Twitch-Tasking

     Matter Animation: Standard

  • Ranged Attack Only
  • Area Affect
  • Multi-Attacks

As if he wasn't all nerves already, having found the wonder that is caffeine has driven Twitch's near-one-track mind to ridiculous efficiency. Instead of opening up one portal just big enough to handle an oncoming threat, Twitch now tends to create massive arrays of portals all around where he sees (or senses) danger. If those people that were so nice to him before he was sent to Khazan ever come back for him, they'll be quite surprised to see how much he's improved...
