EXT. GOTHAM BACK-ALLEY – NIGHT (circa “The Dark Knight Returns”)CRASH! A second-story window shatters open and two low-level mutant thugs come spilling out. They tumble over themselves, landing hard on the blacktop below. Someone exits just behind them – it’s the Batman. With cape spread, he touches down in a puddle. The thugs quickly pull themselves together, and run. The Batman rises to his feet, the rain on his chest a baptism. His mouth almost curls at the corners as he reaches for a batarang. He is born again.THUNK! The furthest thug falters, as a sharp pain jolts his back. He reaches between his shoulder blades and finds a batarang sunk deep in his flesh. The second thug doesn't slow down, even as his partner falls to his knees in agony. The Batman quickly assesses the situation, and then goes after him – using his grapple gun to take to higher ground. The second thug, feeling the shadow of the Batman closing in, stumbles into a narrower alley where he slams headlong into a young man running in the opposite direction. They both fall onto the wet pavement, dazed. The chase is over. The thug quickly shakes it off and grabs the young man, putting a gun to his head. Desperation fills his voice, “Back off, man – I’ll kill him.”The Batman's familiar chest insignia emerges from the shadows like a bullseye, followed closely by the barrel of his downed partner’s assault rifle. Fear overtakes the thug, “Believe me, I will – BELIEVE ME!” With surgical precision the Batman fires, rendering the mutant’s gun hand useless. Through gritted teeth, he speaks for the first time, "I believe you."The Batman helps the blood spattered young man to his feet, “What’s your name, son?” He shakes his head, still trying to make sense of what just happened, “John, my name’s John Reese.” Suddenly, it all comes back to him as he looks to the end of the alley and sees a demon from his past. The Batman follows his stare to a leather-clad behemoth striding toward them with a shotgun in his hands. He opens fire. The Batman grabs John and fires his grapple gun, pulling the two of them up the sheer walls of the alley. The behemoth breaks into a run, leaping for the nearest fire escape ladder. He continues blasting away at them as he rapidly makes his way up the rusted metal steps. The Batman drops John onto the graveled rooftop and leans over the ledge, firing the assault rifle at him – trying to slow his progress. A direct hit to the leg does nothing. He rolls over and looks the young man in the eye, “Who is that?” John looks restless, “It’s not really a who – more of a what.” The Batman’s face is carved in stone, “And it wants you dead.” John nods. The Batman quickly leans back over the edge of the roof and deploys a small explosive at the top of the fire escape. He rolls over and covers John with his cape. BOOM! An explosion dislodges the entire fire escape structure, sending it, and their relentless attacker, crashing down into the alley below. He looks at the young man, “How much time will that buy us?” John answers, “Not much.” The Batman grabs his jacket and pulls him to his feet, “Let’s go.” John scans the rooftop for a way out; he sees nothing, “Go where?” The Batman doesn’t slow down, “The Batmobile is two blocks over.” John struggles to keep pace with the man in the cowl, “The Batmobile?” They reach the other side before he gets a response, “Well, it’s more of a tank, really.”NOTE: This is the Batman of “The Dark Knight Returns,” so he isn’t above using any means necessary to achieve his goal, which includes picking up any weapon that’ll help get the job done. He has his usual gadgets, explosives, and the assault rifle. And, if they reach it, he also has the modified Batmobile that is impenetrable to grenades, rocket launchers, and bazooka fire. The Terminator is armed with a shotgun, his hands and the alley thug’s handgun.

Awesome set-up. The Dark Knight takes this; he has more than enough weapons on him to slow the T-800 down, allowing him and John plenty of time to reach the Bat-Tank. I'm pretty sure the tank is loaded with all kinds of heavy weaponry, which Batman will use to stop the cyborg once and for all.

Pretty awesome set up. I'm giving you an "It's Good".

As for who wins, well, that's much tougher choice. The Terminator is a [email protected]$$ killing machine, but up against someone as resourceful as Batman? It's gonna take more than a shotgun, a leather jacket, and silly one liners to bring down the Dark Knight. Not only that, but the Tank/Batmobile is only two blocks away?

Bats ftw.

Batman's faced worse things, he could take T-8000 WITHOUT the Batmobile.

Agreed. Good set-up, Black Dog.
