Thankskilling is fantastic.

Audiences aren't stupid. They don't need to see a character become who they are so long as said character does interesting things after the point we're introduced to them. While Uncle Ben's death is

Emma Stone. Yum.

The Man with the Iron Fists, was alright. The action was pretty sweet. I did not like RZA till the end. His character was just one cliche after the other.

Russel Crowe and Batista were both bad ass.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Russel Crowe was the only interesting character.

I barely saw Dredd a few days ago. Goddamn I love that movie.

Just saw Wreck It Ralph, and it was pretty much what I was expecting. The video game references and cameos were probably the highlight of the movie, but the plot itself wasn't too bad. The animation was cool, and there was a neat little animated short before it. If you're a big gamer, you'll probably like Wreck It Ralph

The past few weeks in movies:

Argo: Awesome

Cloud Atlas: Interesting mess, but not all that good

Silent Hill: Revelations: Mediocre

The Man with the Iron Fists: Pretty solid, blogged it here: http://mecha-guignol.com/2012/11/03/the-main-with-the-iron-fists/

Wreck-It Ralph: Mostly sucked, also blogged it: http://mecha-guignol.com/2012/11/05/vanellope-von-akuma/

The new James Bond has a lot of neat ideas, then it starts to wallow in abandonment issues and ends everything with an action scene that has nothing to do with Bond and everything to do with Michael Bay's interpretation of Home Alone.

I just got back from seeing this and thought the overall ending was quite good. It's almost as though the first three movies were like a long origin story showing how the characters went full circle from the older films to the book and back again. I didn't mind the Home Alone segment. Not every Bond action scene has to involve blindfolded machete fights on the wing of a moving fighter jet.

Oh no Amazing Spiderman was completely superior to Tobey's Spiderman in acting, story pace, characterization, and more.

They are the same movie. They just made the same movie with new actors and less mutant wrist-shooting.

Well obviouslty we can all agree that dicso Spidey was terrible. I'm just saying that the reboot added absolutely nothing to the character. It wasn't a re-imagining, it was a re-hashing. The only reason the movie was even made was because Tobey wasn't going to do any more but the producers knew they could squeeze more blood from that stone.

I like how the Amazing Spider-man had web shooters, even though I've always preferred organic webbing. I like how he seemed like more of a dweeb, even though he got a girl that's even hotter than last time. I like how his costume is--actually, I don't really care for the costume, to be honest. Something about it is just not sitting well with me. I like the villain, though the Lizard seems... I don't know... like his human version was more interesting to me. But then, compared to the Green Goblin from Tobey's first film, he needed something. Charisma? I also like the fight scenes, kind of. Oh, I like how Peter played with his powers in that old warehouse. Seemed like a shout out to the rooftop jumping.

In order, Spider-man, Spider-man 2, The Amazing Spider-man, Spider-man 3.
