I loved Immortals too. Nice simple story with the Greek Gods and their hero on Earth. Great visuals to back up the well done action. Punisher War Zone pretty much nailed Punisher and how brutal he can be.

 

That 2005 list is very interesting. I agree Protector goes in the top 3 although I am not sure about number one. Tony Jaa was amazing in that movie.

Someone explain to me why they like "The Big Lebowski". I just can't get into it no matter how many times someone I know wants to watch it.

 

First time I saw it, I was like "not that funny". Then through the process of quoting it, I was like "wait, that movie is hilarious".

 

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

And here I thought I had to be on some sort of recreational drugs or something to get it. Specially with that scene with the crazy acid trip with the bowling ball and stuff. I saw that and I was like, if I was on something, this would probably blow my mind.

 

But yeah. On other news, anyone excited about Expendables 2? It's gonna have the Muscle from the Brussels! And da Governator!

News from comic con is coming out so fast. We got news on Marvel's next movies. Captain America: Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World are the titles for the sequels. It seems for Ironman 3 in a footage they showed that Ben Kingsley is playing the Mandarin. We also are indeed getting a Guardians of the .Galaxy movie. The team will be Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Racoon, and Gamorra. Last they are planning a Antman movie even though no casting yet.

 

On the DC side we got art from Man of Steel

There's nothing wrong with reading what film scholars, who have dedicated their lives to studying cinema, have said about the film. If you want to go see it, you shouldn't let reviews stop you, but there's nothing wrong with reading them.

I never said there is anything wrong with them. I just hate when people who haven't seen the movie pop off with "Well this reviewer said..."

 

Side note: Thankskilling is great. If you love low budget films, this is a gem.
