Let's see if there are only Two at the top after this round.

It's going to be time for the End Game.

The fact that Whiplash The Cowboy Monkey only got one match is straight criminal

I know the feeling. Bone Saw McGraw and Zombie Colonel America have only been in one match.

Wow, almost can't believe I got this far. Not bad for a team whose name literally indicates how I put it together.

Out of your Team of seven, you only get two in matches each round.

Umpire prioritizes matching winners up against winners as much as possible.  So, typically, you will see your characters that have done well get prioritization.

I mean, as much as possible... there's a lot of variation in there regarding whose available in that particular slot.

Anyways, Umpire will try to match up losers last.

Whiplash monkey is a Loser.  Hence, because Umpire tries to work with the slots you seem to be more competitive in, those two slots where you are will get more love from Umpire.

Speaks to how well the challenges were made for this season. It was basically impossible to know ahead of time who the best contenders would be.

I was pretty sure Athena would do poorly, but she's one of my best performers. Meanwhile John Marston, who I thought would do well due to a varied skillset, has had unfavorable matchups in his challenges.
