Fox
According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Trigun_characters Vash carries a revolver, which is a modified version of the Dan Wesson ppc 357. In reality it's a special weapon originally created by Knives which can fuse with Vash and transforms into an "Angel Arm", a large cannon capable of destroying cities, in the anime. Now, I admited I don't know Anime when doing the approvals for this trial run of CBUB Fantasy Teams. But I was pretty clear about not having characters which destroy cities. You seem to be trying to follow the letter but not the spirit of the competition. Why be uncool with it? Wait... aren't you the guy who started out submitting the all Space Godzilla team or something. And last round we had Alucard (who I do not know but created a frenzy). Why all the overpowered characters when you must have known what we were trying to achieve?

Wait... aren't you the guy who started out submitting the all Space Godzilla team or something. And last round we had Alucard (who I do not know but created a frenzy). Why all the overpowered characters when you must have known what we were trying to achieve? Yup I was the guys who tried to pass Space Godzilla, but to be frank I followed the "can't destroy a city with a wave of his hand" part of the definition the most. I had to do this since most of my characters in the initial selection were random because I was just joking about joining in the beginning with the people in chat, when those characters got locked I basically had to stick with them so I just kept them. I really don't know what you mean by "what we are trying to achieve" but I would assume winning since in the end this is still a competition, but to be frank I chose all my characters on whatever jumped into my head at the moment and just ran with it, basically why Aunt May was in my team. kainboa
snip You seem to be trying to follow the letter but not the spirit of the competition. If you don't like it when the game is played according the the rules you set up rather than how you would like the game to be played, then set up rules that adequately define what you want, rather than leaving them extremely open ended. Why be uncool with it? Why create a half finished product and then complain when people point out that it's half finished? And last round we had Alucard (who I do not know but created a frenzy). If you didn't know the character, why did you accept him? and given that you don't know the character, why didn't you do some research to find out whether he would fit within your boundaries? Two very simple solutions, that would have removed the problem, before it became one. It seems that once again, you're putting the blame on other people, when you're the one who's made an error. Guest Shockwave
To be fair to Vash, it's not by the wave of his hand that activates the Angel Arm. Knives actually has to push Vash to activate it. That being said, The Angel Arm took out two cities and put a hole in the moon. He can deflect bullets that have been fired with rocks about 100 yards away. So technically, he's not completely above street level in raw power, but he's capable of destorying cities.
Guest Zreth
Well don't worry Serge; the concern's you may have about Vash will be pretty much unfounded as I'm pretty sure most people will find him "Street Level" since there really the Archangel arm wouldn't even be relevant in a fight. Guest Zreth
True, but I never planned on using the Archangel arm in my arguments regardless so it doesn't matter.
Guest Shockwave
Not a wise policy. The Angel Arm is part of his character. If pushed, he can use it, see the fight against Blue Summers (a character I didn't put on my team because he does wipe out cities with the wave of his hand). Skirmisher
1) Vash doesn't kill2) Cage Match, I see that Vash won't use his guns, as he has nothing to shoot.3) That means it's more hand to hand...4) Legolas, while not as fast as Vash4a) Has more experiance in hand to hand4b) Has weapons for hand to hand4c) And won't hesitate to use them. Then again Vash is Vash, and despite Legolas being a badass elf warrior, I'd say Vash has more then enough of a chance to take this.
kainboa
snip No, I just expect more from people. So, you expect people to be able to read your intentions rather than reading the words you actually put down, that's a nice thought, but since there's only your words, rather than inflection and body language which would allow us to adequately decipher your intent, we can only go by what you've actually written. I said I don't know Anime please use your best judgement and no city destroying characters. It seems you have a bad memory, allow me to refresh it for you. When we say Street Level, we mean that the character is usually portrayed as fighting battles at the human "Earthly" level and are not the type which destroy planets (or flatten major cities for that matter) with a wave of their hand. This is what has been used to create the teams, which you approved. Considering some of the characters in the guidelines that you posted break that particular limit as well, it's no real wonder that people are somewhat confused. Comics: Batman, Iron Man, Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Snake Eyes, Green Arrow, Wolverine ... etc. Sci-Fi: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Predator, A Power Ranger ... etc. But whatevs. Impressive, rather than actually act like an adult, and address the points I've brought up, you simply shrug them aside like a teenager who's being lectured. I can't really help but consider it ironic, that your post, very neatly underlines my original point, namely once again, you're putting the blame on other people, when you're the one who's made an error. C.T.
Iron Man(depending on armor) and Wonder Woman are powerful, but neither can destroy planets or flatten cities by waving their hand...they're going to have to do more than that.
kainboa
Hum. Now you're getting personal. Sure, if pointing out that you're acting like a teenager rather than the adult you're supposed to be is getting personal, that's fine by me. If you don't like it, just act like an adult, and I won't have any cause to point it out, it's rather simple really. Why complain about someone giving you free entertainment? Why not read the entire argument? snip What is wrong with you kainboa As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with me. why not just enjoy this for what it is and appreciate the effort and thought going into this website? Because I have a problem when Serge points out an error in his own system, and then tries to claim that the error is the fault of the users of the system, rather than a flaw in the system.Simply because he's the creator of the site and/or draft, doesn't mean he's above reproach, nor that everything he says is correct. Also, I can easily enjoy this for what it is, and appreciate the effort and thought going into the website, while pointing out the flaws he's made and the errors in his reasoning. Skirmisher
I don't see why everyone's deciding to pick on Serge for this... It's a trial run this Roster thing, of course it's going to be broken for the Beta Test. Which is why we give Feedback, so he can Improve as we go... To expect a finished product, without testing in this day and age is akin to saying Man Can't fly because he doesn't have Wings... Of course there are many characters that break the limit of consensus... that's why we have to refine just What that limit is. Rather then beat up on the guy providing us with this platform for entertainment, I would rather see you put your criticism into actually Helping him make it better.
