@Sirmethos- Are we going to address the issue of where the weights were placed? Unless you are Popeye, your bi/triceps are a lot more powerful than your forearms, and your quads are a lot more powerful than your calfs.

Not really, since it's still the biceps and quads that are pulling the load.

If we look at the individual weights, and their placing, Goku wasn't able to move his arms at all with a single 10 ton weight on each arm. All he was able to do with the 40 tons attached to him, was keep himself floating with his KI. With the placing of the weights(focusing on the arms), it's similar to holding the weights in his hands. I.e. he is incapable of lifting 10 tons with one arm(in his normal form).

Which, when putting the facts together, puts his actual strength, at considerably below the 40 tons.

Try taking a carton of milk(1 liter) in your hand, hold it down in a straight arm, then lift it. Your biceps is what's doing the majority of the work.

When I hear a character can lift x amount of tons, I think of a dead lift. So, I am willing to bet Goku can dead lift a lot more weight than what has been shown. There is also the fact that they can focus their ki into the point of attack making them stronger.

Something else to think about, we all know how powerful Hulk is, with his "city jumps". In Dragonball Mercenary Tao straight up throws a log then jumps on said log to travel city to city. I'm not sure how far the distance of the cities are, but on Dragonball Earth, the cities are located very far apart. As in, between each city there are huge portions of forest, desert, ice, etc. Kid Goku was more powerful than Tao, and Goku at the end of Z is astronomically more powerful than being a kid.

You can't compare tracking something with telepathy to tracking something with sight, your entire argument is basically a piece of shit. You don't know how telepathy works in regard to travel speed and movement speed. The fact that he can track goku's travel but not his movement speed, and so therefore he must be moving FTL, is a flawed argument in the first place.

That's the point I was making. That's why I said sirmethos analogy doesn't work.

That's why YOUR WHOLE POINT doesn't work. You don't know how telepathic tracking works in comparison to visual tracking. It could just be that he can't psychically sense a succession of small movements as well as an object travelling in a straight line through space. You don't know how telepathy or ki sensing works. Sensing a location in space is probably a lot easier than sensing someone punching and kicking.

I think we are having miscommunication here. I understand my point is no longer valid, but I am saying the analogy sirmethos used, doesn't work either.

Hey, methos can you site your sources? Some friends of mine won't accept the fact that Superman would win.

Sorry for the necro.

Goku:

Strength: Buu Saga(I can't remember the specific chapter in which we see the 40 tons feat, but it's somewhere in the Buu Saga).

Speed(gotenks speed feat): Manga Volume 40, Chapter 10(I believe it's page 8 and 9, but I might be mistaken about the page number)

I'll have to get back to you with the specific issues for the Superman strength and speed sources. I know I have them somewhere, but I have 60 GB of electronic comics, as well as several boxes of hard-copy comics, and I can't remember where those specific comics are -.-

Also why did you use a feat for Gotenks and not for Goku?

Because the speed feat for Gotenks, is the single best feat of speed in DBZ. And because it was the only noticeable speed feat that was done with the characters being near their max power level.
