Match 8004 Scar Predator vs. The Joker

His opponent was strong, but he was lacking in skill. He was able to endure the thrashing, but as far as fighting back went, the man’s skills were almost non-existent. He relied too much on his long range weapons, too much on the weapon which was able to entomb objects or people in ice. While this was the cold man’s advantage, it was also his greatest weakness. Anyone could aim a weapon and fire, but a real warrior who was his worth often either used blades, or his bare fist. Many of the Elders often wished to fight in the traditional ways, and it was going to be as such with him. It was how he had come so far in the many battles which he had endured, and regardless of the fact that the cold man was disappointing, the Yautja wasn’t going to get careless, nor was he going to hold back as both would probably end up in him potentially getting killed. Such was the way as many hunters had come and went, but not he. Scar had come to the realization that he had perhaps over-estimated his opponent, and the other weapons save for his blades were perhaps unnecessary, but he would keep them incase this human had any surprises. They were always full of surprises. And that’s how many hunters had been killed by the humans in the past. They got arrogant, and they got careless. But he wasn’t. He remembered the time when he had gotten careless in the fight against the human fighter named Ryu, and he had suffered a loss though the man had spared his life. Were Ryu any other human being, chances were that Scar might’ve surely died or wound up scarred for life. So this cold man he was fighting, would not find the opportunity of Scar being a careless hunter. He had come too far, and learned too much to let arrogance and forgetfulness get to him. Victor Fries, otherwise infamously known as Mr. Freeze, was having a hard time in pulling out the heist which he intended on using for his research. His men were strewn all around him, their warm blood now chilled by the air which had been turned cold as Freeze managed to encrust the walls and the floors with ice by firing his freeze gun. But he couldn’t get a bead on the armored alien, every time he fired his weapon, the creature easily dodged. And most of his armor had been penetrated by the blades which the alien head-hunter carried with him, leaving lacerations which bled furiously. Thankfully, the room was cold enough for Victor to keep on living for an extra few minutes. If the temperature were at room temperature, he surely would’ve been burning up. But this thing was troublesome, perhaps more troublesome than the Batman. Mr. Freeze glared at the hulking, powerful form of the tall alien which towered over himself through the red goggle lenses. Gritting his teeth, Victor rose back up to his full height and he once more aimed out with his freeze gun. Knowing full well of what his opponent was going to do, Scar swung his right handed wristblades and knocked away the weapon from Mr. Freeze’s hand. The sound of gun metal impacting the frost encrusted floor was the most horrifying thing which Victor could ever hear. This left him only two things which he could use to defend himself. His fists. And Victor, for the most part, knew that he wasn’t much of a fighter. More often times, he got by with his freeze gun. Rising back up to his feet, Victor immediately took a swing for the Predator warrior’s masked head, but Scar merely moved an arm up and took the punch with relatively no difficulty. Victor again swung for another but the Yautja immediately leaned back and avoided the second punch. Again Mr. Freeze unleashed out another punch but the Predator warrior caught the fist as soon as Victor let it out and pushed the man back into the teller counter. Wood broke and Mr. Freeze lay flat on his back as the Predator stormed his way over towards him. Taking a piece of wood, the criminal scientist swung it down for Scar’s masked head, but the Yautja swung his right arm diagonally upward in a backswing, his blades easily cleaving through the plank. Astonished at this, Victor realized all too late as Scar moved his right arm out and took a firm hold of the man by the front of his suit and easily hoisted him over the air and tossed him into the ice encrusted wall behind him. Scar picked Fries up again, and slammed him down onto the teller counter once more, picked him up once more and hoisted him over head and slammed him onto the ground. Mr. Freeze grunted out, furiously as he hit the marble floor and huffed out as he struggled against the might of the Predator warrior, yet once more found himself picked up, and watched as Scar raised his right handed wristblades once more. Victor pleaded as he shook his head defiantly, not wanting to endure anymore pain but his plea would go unheard as the warrior thrust his right hand outward, stabbing his right handed wristblades deep into the chest of Victor Fries. A stinging pain ran through the chest of the former cryogenic scientist, and an overwhelming sense of fear washed over his mind. He never so much as had a chance against this armored foe. His cold eyes stared up at the emotionless mask of Scar, and he pleaded once more for his life. With a quick jerk, Scar withdrew his blades from Victor’s chest. Mr. Freeze fell forward and his knees hit the ground. He firmly planted his hands onto the ground and he struggled. Struggled to rise. Struggled to stay awake. Struggled to stay alive. Groaning and bleeding, coughing his cold claret out from within his mouth, Victor was coming to the fact that he might not even get the chance to save his beloved Nora. All of the heist, all of the thievery, had come to this. An unusual sound had come to his ears as Victor now noticed that Scar sheathed his wristblades back into place, and a moment of relief soon wash over Victor. But that relief was short lived. Scar turned with his weight focused into his movement, and he swung with a mighty punch from his right which violently impacted the glass helmet which Fries often wore as a means of keeping himself cool at all times, as without it, he would more than like die. And as soon as the glass broke, relief was replaced with endless fear. The something terrifying was felt as Scar targeted Mr. Freeze’s head with his laser sighting, the three glowing red dots were more than warm enough to cause Mr. Freeze to sweat, but it was also warm enough to make the man suffer in pain. It would all end as the barreled head of the plasma caster on Scar’s left shoulder moved up, and aimed for Freeze’s head. An energetic hum filled the silence as a bright blue flash illuminated the room, and the blue bolt of plasma energy rushed forward. Collision happened. Mr. Freeze’s head burned and exploded violently, and the headless body of what was Victor Fries fell onto it’s knees and hit the ground firmly. This fight was over, and there would be no trophy taken. An overwhelming sense of disappointment now washed over the Predator warrior known as Scar. He had thought that there was promise here in this city, and now he was believing that he might have been proven wrong. He was hoping that he was wrong. There must’ve been a challenge here in this city, there simply had to be. Otherwise, this was nothing more than a waste of time. And it was this moment that Scar’s ears perked as the familiar wails of sirens had come to him. But he listened carefully, and it sounded as if they were heading towards this direction. Immediately, he activated his invisibility cloaking device, and now blended into the ice ridden room, and stared ahead through the broken glass window of the bank, and was surprised to see that there was a group of police vehicles that passed the broken in bank. It was surprising because he would’ve thought that the police surely would’ve come to such a distressed area as this, but perhaps there was a more pressing emergency. Swiftly, the Yautja then turned and immediately moved out from the exit door of the bank. He catapulted himself forward and up, taking to the rooftops as the Yautja warrior moved through the night skies and landed onto the nearest roof. He stared ahead down the street, and listened for the familiar wails of sirens. With his keen sense of hearing, he was able to pick up the familiar noise and moved as swiftly as possible, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. A brief rise in excitement now overwhelmed the warrior, but his discipline was sure to keep that in check. He moved with such swiftness, agility which was honed from the years of training he had prepared himself with prior to his first blooding ritual hunt, and his skills were further honed from the experience he had garnered through out the hunt. It was at this moment that the Yautja warrior now stopped in his tracks as he witnessed a stand off of sorts. No, this wasn’t a stand-off. It was urban warfare. The streets had were barricaded, cars turned over to be used as a means of covering. Observing the chaos, Scar witnessed the two sides. Criminals and the police. He watched as the two warring sides were unleashing their fire on each other. Gun fire roared through the night streets of Gotham City and it fascinated the Predator warrior. There was one man who caught the attention of the battle hardened warrior, a man whose laughter was heard. ---- It started off as nothing more than a random act of violence. He had ordered his men to go out and start as much anarchy and chaos by shooting up the city streets. And as predicted, the police were on the scene and were adding more to it by firing back at his men. Such beautiful chaos, such wondrous acts of violence was done. All over there were bodies strewn about, most of them were bodies of innocent people who had been earlier victims when the shootings started, and now there were several police officers who were laying on the streets, bleeding to death and now the Gotham City Police were fighting to get the wounded officers out of the war zone. But he wasn’t going to let them pull those wounded officers out. And his men were fighting back against the police, focusing their fire on keeping any officers at bay by firing at them, intending on retreating or even outright killing them. The Joker was an odd man, no one really knew who he was aside from the fact that he was an insane individual who often performed depraved acts of evil for the sake of merely doing it. Sometimes he had a reason for doing these things, sometimes it just gave him something to do. Gotham was his city now, and with no one to really stop him, he was free to do whatever he wanted. And try as the police might, he wasn’t going to be caught by them. They were often times incompetent and corrupt, but then again everyone in Gotham was just as corrupt as far as he was concerned. In his hands he gripped a Winchester 1900, the Joker raised his weapon and unloaded a shot, loaded in another as he pumped the action lever and once more fired. “HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE HEEE! Well I’m having more fun than a barrel of monkeys! C’mon boys, this city is ours for the taking and with the Batman gone, there is no one who can stop us! No one! Hee hee hee ha ha ha ha ha!!” The Joker cackled. The police were trying so hard to get their men out of the crossfire, and the wounded officers were dying on the streets. Several men carrying steel riot-shields rushed out towards the wounded officers, the bullets being deflected off from the shields as the other officers were providing cover. The Joker frowned as he watched this and he moved his right hand out, giving the signal for one of his men to get rid of the offending officers. A large black man carrying a rocket launcher over his shoulders rushed over towards the Joker’s side and he took careful aim at the armored vehicle which the offending police officers came in, and fired his weapon. The rocket soared forward in towards the armored police vehicle. A large eruption of fire exploded behind the officers with the shields, sending them flying forward as the shoot out still went on. The Joker laughed maniacally with glee as he watched the offending officers hit the pavement and were more than likely killed, but then frowned in a moment of surprise as the roar of engines and burning rubber came to. He stared ahead and grinned with insanity as he realized who was driving the vehicle. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t commissioner Gordon and his friend, Bullock!” The Joker cackled. Once more he raised his Winchester and fired at the windshield at the incoming vehicle, the glass shattering upon impact but his intended mark was never the less, missed. Commissioner Jim Gordon was now on the scene, and he was going to get those officers out. Bullock, being the ever aggressive policeman, punched away at the remaining glass and held out his nine millimeter and aimed for the Joker, firing relentlessly, but the Joker ducked underneath the toppled car which was used as a barricade, using it as a means of covering himself as the incoming police car stopped to a halt. Behind the incoming vehicle, another notable officer came rushing to the aid of Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock. A slender woman with dirty blond hair, and she was armed with a riot shotgun and took aim at several of the Joker’s men. Margaret Sawyer, one of the GCPD, unleashed numerous shots onto the offending criminals, allowing more police officers to rush in and save their wounded comrades. Seeing this, the Joker knew that Gordon and Bullock were more or less now getting closer to him. His men provided cover fire as the clown prince of crime rushed in for the ware house as a means of perhaps buying sometime, and maybe… an escape before Gordon and Bullock, and maybe Sawyer would get to him. Nearing the warehouse door, the Joker rushed inside with seven of his men. The rest were going to provide cover fire and resume the shoot out, keep the police at bay. But the Joker didn’t know that the entire time, he had been watched. And the police were the least of his problems.---- He leapt from rooftop to rooftop, making his way over towards the warehouse where the one who had caught his attention was using as a hide out from the law. The laughing man could run as much as he wanted, he would be found. There was no hiding from him whatsoever. Especially from a hunter who was patient, and cunning as Scar. The invisible Predator warrior leapt down from the rooftops, his feet silently padding against the pavement and he rushed over towards the warehouse from the side, and once more leapt and he embedded his feet and hands firmly against the brick wall of the building, his claws firmly dug in and he pulled himself up and easily scaled up the wall. It wasn’t long until he finally managed to get to the top, and it was then he had finally realized how old this building was. It wasn’t dilapidated but never the less old. Scar looked around the rooftop for any openings which would allow him to get inside the building from above, and it was there he noticed a glass sun-roof over an area which could be breached. The Yautja warrior rushed over in towards the glass sun-roof and halted as soon as he had looked down into the room. There he was, the laughing man. And there were several others with him for the moment being, and they were preparing for the police who were outside. But they were not exactly prepared for him. There was the element of surprise. A crucial thing which any hunter could have, and could learn to use to his advantage. Scar watched as the laughing man was slipping on some kind of Kevlar body armor. The other men who were accompanying the laughing man were ready for the police, but their fear… he could smell it. Scar jerked his hands firmly into fists and a pair of two dangerously edged Dlex wristblades extended outward, ready to cleave and tear into the flesh of his enemies. Scar reached to the back of his hips with his right arm, taking a firm hold of his naginata bladed staff and extended the weapon outward to it’s full length. He continued on watching as the laughing man, the Joker, aimed his gun at the door-- expecting the police and so his men did the same. Taking the advantage of surprise, Scar punched a fist through the glass sun-roof and shattered it. Thousands of glass shards immediately rained down upon the Joker and his men, and instinctively they looked up and covered themselves to avoid any serious injury. But they didn’t see what or who caused the glass to shatter. As he jumped forward as the Joker and his men were moving to avoid being cut, despite the hard effort it was for them to do so considering how many shards of glass were falling, the Yautja warrior deactivated his cloaking, landing into the room with his weapons ready. Not taking a moment to hesitate, Scar glared at the Joker and his men as they were distracted with the glass and rushed in with the intent to kill. Will Scar Predator claim another trophy or will the Joker escape death and have the last laugh?

Finally, I managed to write something up after a few days of taking a short break. This one was relatively easy to write and I based it off from the opening scene in PREDATOR 2, and it just took off from there. I felt as if Scar were ready to take on a big name, and I figured why not the clown prince of crime himself? Anyway, I hope you all enjoy.

Scar Predator is a Class 10 in strength.

Scar Predator is armored with High Grade Dlex Armor.

Scar Predator is armed with Dual Plasma Grade Wristblades, Plasma beam Combi-staff, Shoulder Omni-Caster, Shurikens, Burner Gun, Nano-Vibronic Smart Disc, Plasma Grade Dlex Naginata, Sonic Mines, Fire Mines, Net gun.

The Joker is wearing a Type II ballistics vest.

The Joker is armed with a Winchester 1900 lever pump-action Shotgun.

The Joker has seven men with him. They are armed with AK-47s, Thompson Guns, H&K Fabarm FP6 Riot Shotguns, M4A1 Carbines, and a M603 Machine Gun.

Epic set-up, and cool match-up.

Well, due to the element of suprise, Scar will most likely be able to get rid of the Joker's men. Having said that, I don't believe this will be a simple clean victory. Why? The Joker is crazy. Unpredictable and crazy. This may help him in the fight for his life, but it will take a lot of luck for him to beat the pred.

My vote goes to Scar, he has more experience in close combat, even if the guy he is facing is a psycho.

I'm going Scar, since he has, as Draconic2 said, much more combat experience. Also... Joker may get the votes. He is very popular. I intend for Scar to win, but... Others may not. "It's Good."

And yeah, I know what might happen considering how some big names get the reigns but overall I've been noticing that the big names haven't been winning as often in terms of the votes. So let's see what happens from here on in.

The Joker has my vote. He is crazy enough to find some way to win this. If anything he would bail on his goons and leave them to be killed while he escapes.

Yeah, but the Gotham City Police are outside waiting for the Joker. So escaping is going to be hard for him to do.

I dont think this is fair on the Joker. He could definitely beat a Predator, but not in this scenario. Cool idea though.

Aaaaah, dammit. And this time I gave the Joker several big, burly guys who are armed to help him out. I thought that would've evened things out since the last fight wasn't so well received but damn...

I'm really starting to think Gotham was not a good idea after all. Damn.

Joker is crafty, resourceful, insane, and a damn scary person to fight;but in this scenario he is not prepared to fight Scar. I say Joker will lose as he has been taken completely by surprise.

Alright, to me this is a stomp in the favour of Scar. Nothing less than that a stomp.

Batman beats the Joker up on a regular basis. Batman also has issues with a normal, non-buffed Predator even with reflective armour, sonar, and all his other gadgets.

How exactly does the Joker have a chance here? You've even given his bodyguards (who are normally special-forces level armed to the hilt) quite basic weaponry.

As I said, Scar stomps.

I am not a gun expert, and I normally don't even read Batman comics. The only source of information I have on the Joker is the the Batman Animated Series (which I used as reference for his weapons), the Tim Burton film and the Nolan film. I pretty much used those sources, primarily the Batman DCAU as a source for the kinds of weapons which I thought Joker would use.

I didn't intend for this to be a stomp, but I can't help but get the feeling like you're insinuating that I intended it to be. Far from it, I tried to keep weapons which I thought would've been in character for the Joker to use. I don't read Batman comics, so how was I supposed to know he had thugs who normally carried military gear?

All I had to go off was the DCAU, primarily that one anyway.

Well, I modified the conditions some. I gave some of Joker's men some more weapons variety, see my very first post above.

Could Joker's venom effect the Pred? Or will his bio mask filter it out, for that matter could the acid in Joker's flower hurt the Pred?

Regardless of the answer, I don't think anyone "wins" here, the thing with Joker, is that he never dies. He can be in gri situations, but always makes it out, there was a time, where he was in an airplane, and it blew up, but he somehow made it out. If Joker did have a superpower it'd be always getting out of death situations, kind of like Mister Miracle. I can't believe I'm saying this but I can agree with VCM, I can see Joker using his men as bait to escape, granted there are cops, but cops don't mean much to him.

It is unknown whether or not the Joker's venom could affect a Yautja. Yautja are known to have such strong immune systems as noted by general Rykov which is resilient enough to fight off Anthrax and Ebola like as if it were the common cold in his journal entries in AvP2 but whether or not the venom could affect a Yautja is unknown.

A Yautja's mask has been known to have filtering, to where they even so much as allow a Yautja to literally breathe underwater. So chances are it probably more than likely might be able to filter the Joker gas out.

As for the acid in the Joker's flower... Considering that Scar's armor is pretty much resistant to acid, I can tell you that is definitely not happening, considering the fact that Scar's armor is now high grade Dlex which can withstand Alien acid.

I think Scar takes this. I don't think it's a stomp. Like a few others said, Joker is crazy. You never know what he'll do next. I could see him somehow pulling this off, and he's escaped the cops before. I don't think that will be a problem if he somehow defeated or got past Scar. BUT, and this is a big but, he would have to defeat or escape Scar first. I think there's a slim chance, but Scar wins in the end. Great set-up, Rakai. "It's Good."

Great set-up as usual, Rakai. You actually pulled off Fries and the Joker better than I expected.

Ah, I knew I forgot something. In your previous match, I meant to relay to you that if you planned on pitting Scar against the Joker, the best way to try to even things up would be to have Joker somehow expect Scar's arrival and prepare accordingly. In that situation, maybe Joker would have Scar run a deadly gauntlet through an abandoned funhouse or amusement park.

Joker's shotgun isn't going to be do much, the acid in his flower isn't going to penetrate Scar's armor, and Joker's men might slow the Predator down. But the Joker has several other tools at his disposal. He typically uses many deadly toy- and casino-based weapons such as exploding cards and marbles, powerful punch guns, a hand buzzer that delivers a deadly shock, and the aformentioned flower can also shoot lethal laughing gas. Now, the buzzer isn't going to help Joker any, and I'm not sure about the laughing gas, but the other weapons might at the very least provide a good distraction and maybe even hurt Scar. And given that they're all in an abandoned warehouse and it's surrounded by cops, it's possible Joker can make an escape.

But if he doesn't, Joker's not going to show fear; he'll more likely crack a bad joke and be maniacally laughing to the end.

Thanks! Even though I really had little references to go off of here.

A lot of people do that, really and that was something I would've wanted to stay away from and it seems I've drawn some flack for it. Sure, a lot of people somehow have Batman characters expect the arrival of a Predator but never really fully explain how they would've known that there was an extraterrestrial head hunter going after them. So rather than pull that off, I just decided to abandon that tired cliche out. I mean think about it.

The existence of Yautja has been kept hidden from the general public for a long time, and not by just the Yautja themselves, but international governments have also been keeping them secret for many years from the general public. Most information on Yautja has either been covered up, censored, or downright erased by the governments. So aside from the censored information which has been covered up to appear as ritual cult killings, no one would really know that there was an alien killer running around. So how could the Joker when such information is not even routinely given out at all?

Also the gauntlet/Game of Death scenario has been done a lot, at least in my opinion anyway. So what I did was pretty much took the opening scene from Predator 2 with the shootout between the Joker and the Police, and hopefully the next match will involve the GCPD in a Predator 2 styled hunt. Hence this particular set up as I intend something of a connection and parallel to Predator 2.

You bring up some interesting points. You're right, we don't know if the Joker's laughing gas will affect a Yautja, and chances are that Scar's bio-mask will filter that out. It's more than likely possible that Yautja bio-masks have air filters which prevent gases and allows a Yautja to breath. There has been a confirmed case where a Yautja has been able to breathe underwater for an indefinite period amount of time because his mask's breathing filters was allowing him to breathe underwater in Predator: Hell and Hot Water. So as far as the laughing gas goes, I don't see it affecting Scar as long as he keeps the mask on, which I'm sure he will.

The acid-spitting flower, definitely won't be doing any damage to Scar as the high grade Dlex armor has been refined and molecularly altered to withstand the acidic blood of a Xenomorph, and has a greater durability to withstand kinetic force and ballistics. So the flower is out.

Now the joke-weapons, I just generally don't see being much of a problem for Scar. And given that Yautja have been shown to have an extremely high tolerance to electrical shocks as seen in Predator 2, when one Yautja has been struck by lightning twice, he wasn't even relatively harmed. So I don't see the buzzer doing much. And from the weapons you listed such as the buzzer and punch-gun, are you referring to MK vs DC? If so, I didn't reference those weapons for Joker, and didn't include them as I see them being more redundant than practical against a Yautja.

I've never played MK vs. DC, though part of me wants to. I was actually thinking of what I remembered Joker using in the DCAU Batman series.

Yeah, Joker is screwed. When Bruce comes back, he'll actually be glad to finally have the clown off his back. Still, that laugh of Joker's would be great for Scar to record and use to confuse and intimidate his future opponents:
