Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a fictional character, the main protagonist and narrator of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. He is portrayed by Logan Lerman in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, a film adaptation of the series' first book The Lightning Thief.
At the start of the series, Percy learns that he is a demigod and is escorted to Camp Half-Blood, a secret camp built to train and protect demigods. As the son of Poseidon, god of the sea, Percy is a child mentioned in The Great Prophecy, a prophecy that is given by the Oracle every fifty years. The prophecy states that a half-blood child of one of the Big Three gods is destined to make a choice that will either save or destroy Olympus.
Throughout the series, Percy embarks on several quests to save his friends, and ultimately, the gods of Mount Olympus. In the Battle of Manhattan, he leads a struggle against Kronos' Titan army to protect Mount Olympus.
As described by the books, Percy has green eyes, Caucasian skin, and black hair. In The Lightning Thief, Percy is portrayed as unfit, but later on he becomes more athletic due to his training.
