Using a backhoe he dug a large hole on some farm land owned by his father. He then pushed the car in and covered it up, claiming it was stolen and hoping to collect about seven thousand dollars to pay off debts. There were two basic flaws in his plan. Number one, he didn’t completely cover the car, a piece of it was sticking out of the ground. Number two, he didn’t let his father in on the scheme.
