Across the ages there have been those dedicated to the arts, those so consumed by their desire to be the best at what they do that they will do anything. Anything at all. These few, these desperate and dedicated enough to dig past eternal layers of lies and secrets, find the true soul of their crafts. These are our bread and butter, these are the souls who are so mired and dark that they find us. They find the great Institute and, despite the promise of remaining nameless and forsaken in the eyes of history, join our illustrious ranks.

Across the ages there have been those dedicated to the most powerful arts, those who devoured souls for power and sold their very flesh for anyone. Anyone at all. These few, these defiled and degenerate enough to wallow in the mire of eternal damnation and the power it brings, are the true soul of our crafts. These are our patron saints, these are the soulless who make up the mired darkness that calls to us. They founded our great Institute and, because of their eternal namelessness remain with us to this day, beyond the touch of history and death.

Personality: What are you willing to do for power? Would you kill? Maim? Ruin lives for a mere taste of true art? Is your soul scoured free from innocence and filled to the brim with cynicism? Theirs are.

Theirs always have been.

Strength:

Weak BELOW normal human strength -
can bench press 50 pounds (maybe).
Agility:

Weak BELOW normal human agility.
Slow and uncoordinated.
Body:

Weak BELOW normal human endurance.
Goes down easy and stays there.
Mind:

Weak BELOW normal human mental power.
Not the sharpest tack in the drawer.

As long as there has been Art, there have been those who have used it for brutal and savage purpose. The Sculptor who uses the bone and sinew of the war-slain to craft a throne in mockery of the regime who fuels the war raging around him. The Painter who dips his cat-hair brush into the gushing wound of his cheating wife as he recreates the moment he slashed her throat. The Enchantress who viciously toys with the waxen likenesses of the sculptor and painter as she cackles deep in the night.

Even more so than the Arts of manipulation, we enjoy instructing our most gifted students the ways of pure destruction. The ways of the corruptive heart are vast. The most beautiful Arts are those who carve the most from the world around and reshape it in smoking and useless heaps. The most effective Arts are the ones that slay with the harnesed light of the stars. All these and more are yours for the taking, for a price.

Prohibit

  • Power: Reflection
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Kit Power Link: Overlord
Even Art has enemies, those that call it trite and meaningless. The enemies of True Art, such as ours, typically have much harsher things to say. Usually said with crude instruments such as torches and bullets. Nonetheless, we persevere. We live to fight another day because we are sly foxes. We are cunning and wily, elsewise we are not fit to live.

Our survival depends on coming under fire. We are the eternal source of strife and conflict, controversy is our mainstay. Without it, we are no longer Forbidden. Without those who seek to destroy us, we are merely a pale shadow with no power. We are the Threat that calls for excessive force. The more we are hunted, the more we hunt back. We are the wolves that slay the ewe, leaving the lamb to grow and procreate so one day we can kill it as well...

Verboten

  • Power: Polymorph
  • Level:Superior
  • Kit Power Link: Overlord
  • Seeker This attack hunts and follows its target.
The more they fight, the more they become like us. That, however, gets old rather quickly. The truth behind 'You are your own worst enemy' becomes incredibly annoying when everyone who's trying to kill you is as dark and lothesome as you are. Stopping at nothing to see that our Art ceases it's existence.

The Institute, of course, makes sure that this is an impossibility but that is beside the point. Sometimes, you have to take matters into your own hands. You must adjust your opponent, shape him like clay or hot wax, into a more pliable and helpless form. A rabbit perhaps? Or maybe a cow. Something along those lines. Whatever suits your fancy, weather you prefer a chase or an easy target. Or if you prefer Stew or Rib eyes.

Taboo

  • Power: Pheremones
  • Level:Supreme
  • Kit Power Link: Overlord
  • Auto-Hit This mental attack hits the target automatically, but may or may not effect them.
Let it not be said that this Institute turns away any who are willing to do whatever it takes for power. Let it not be said that the Institute and it's esteemed faculty were not willing to go out of their way to encourage it's students to learn the most ancent and forbidden of arts. Let it not be said that lust was not utilized to it's fullest potential.

Tantric rituals indeed. Hah!

Ultra Vires

  • Power: Elongation
  • Level:Standard
  • Seeker This attack hunts and follows its target.
  • Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance (only).
  • Multi Attack Attack can hit multiple times during one strike.
Guess what THIS does!

Ha ha HA!

Banned Books

Simple minds find that even the written word can contain horrible and twisted things. More open minds find this to be a wonderful thing.

Here at the institute we encourage the perusal of anything that catches your interest... Even those things that will likely get you dead.

Enjoy!

Creathers Ever Neverending

  • Power: Necromancer
  • Level:Standard
  • Seeker This attack hunts and follows its target.
Searching high, searching low,

For the things one should not know.

The kind of things that get you killed,

Or at least a psychologists bill.

Found they did a special book,

So inside they took a look...

Frowned Upon

  • Power: Bio Vampire
  • Level:Superior
  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain Frozen Wastes
Of course, when our Illustrious institute found itself confronted by the spawn of the Most Dark himself we felt it pertinent that we learn from them. In the spirit of comradere we have learned and now offer courses in one of the oldest of forbidden practices.

That tradition that can still be found in the darkest of wilds. The recourse that found it's way to the winter stranded settlers of California. Of course they didn't have the modern convenience of microwave ovens, we would never settle for such frostbitten savagery.

It is, of course, what we call Cannibalism children. Enjoy your longpig.
