Lucifer, the Star of Morning, also named Samael, sat atop his throne deep within the Citadel of Hell. The plan he called Operation: Hell on Earth would soon commense and with its successful completion, the war between Heaven and Hell would soon be over. The plan, according to Lucifer, was this: for years, Heaven and Hell have been diametrically opposed to each other. They have ground against each other for countless millinea with no one side really gaining ground. Operation: Hell on Earth would change this by moving the battleground. No one had gained any ground because aside from Heaven's one trump which they refused to ever use (guess Who), both sides were totally and dead set equal. But what if something were to throw this balance out of focus? Of course, the Omniverse was 100% infinite, but the ways Heaven could access it (as well as Hell) were finite. Operation: Hell on Earth's goal was, essentially, to infiltrate the Mortal World and slowly (but surely) turn it into just another Hell. From there, the by-ways to Heaven could be barricaded by the demons, thus preventing Heaven from growing in response. Still, Lucifer mused, who could carry out this mission? If we're not subtle enough, we could easily alert Heaven to the plan and then it would become another pointless battle. Someone with a strong history of manipulation, deceit and ruthlessness. Lucifer smiled as he remembered Barrabus. Barrabus survived the cut throat world of Hell, vaniquishing all who stood in the way of his gaining the posistion of Duke of Hell through a combination of trickery, back-stabbing and social puppetry that impressed Lucifer himself. His record continued to improve with the massive numbers of souls Barrabus brought in. Here lay his speciality. Mortal minds were putty in his hands as countless souls fell into his possession. Amoung his more famous exploits was securing the soul of Yuuki Meiyo, the legendary ninja master. Unbenknonwnst to the ninja, Barrabus himself had orchaestrated the cataclysm that Yuuki forfeited his soul to stop. Santiago, a Spanish noble, was another notable claim by the demon, summoning an opponent from Hell Santiago could not hope to defeat to shatter his resolve and fill him with the willingness to pay ANY price to be the best. Getting the soul of Shenn Leayrtys, though, was definitely his most impressive achievement, securing it without even using a contract. Servitude through dependence became a trick Barrabus rather liked. Lucifer knew that Barrabus was perfect for the job. With his three most prized souls in tow, the three mentioned previous, Barrabus was sent to Khazan to begin Operation: Hell on Earth, using the nexus as a staging ground for Hell's dominion of the entire Omniverse.

The Cap of Darkness

  • Power: Invisibility
  • Level:Supreme
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Hard to Loseitem
The Cap of Darkness is the very Cap the Greek Hero Perseus used to help slay Medusa the Gorgon. It has the power to turn its wearer completely invisible to the human eye and most other forms of detection. When making sudden movements such as attacking someone, the wearer may cause a slight ripple in the air, similar to a heat wave, but nothing more making it all but impossible to notice. The wearer can pretty much get surprise on his enemies at will.

Avatar

  • Level:Standard
The otherworldly powers of Barrabus are derived directly from Hell itself. It is this energy that allows him to give those who forfeit their souls otherworldly powers of their own.

Soul Seer

Barrabus has spent countless millinea manipulating, back-stabbing and foiling the political machinations of other demons and as such he has plenty of experience in reading true intentions as well as relentlessly picking out weaknesses. With those who dwell in the mortal world this is even easier, as Barrabus can peer within them and read the very essence of their soul. Within seconds, he can immediately determine the passion and pain of his opponents. Their weaknesses are to him an open book, from flaws in the enemy battle plan to glaring psychological weaknesses. Without even employing any powers at all, Barrabus can determine what weaknesses the opponent has and exploit them relentlessly.

Environmental Awareness

Just as Barrabus can read the souls of others like an open book, so too can he read places. The faint traces of the people who have been there before, the lives of the animals there and the very nature of the place itself all feed him faint information about his surroundings.

Soul Sear

  • Power: Emotion Control
  • Level:Supreme
  • Kit Power Link: Avatar
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Hard to Loseitem
Barrabus can affect the emotions of another being in shocking ways. With a few choice words, he can induce obsessive desire for something, turn raging passion into total apathy, create enough anger to kill or turn someone into a sobbing wreck of tears. Combined with his ability to read the essence of souls, his power is even more potent. He does not blindly reach out and mess around with an opponent's emotions with no style whatsoever. No, from looking within his opponent he knows EXACTLY what buttons to push to gain the maximum effect, personalizing each attack to be the most effective against each specific opponent. The result is often devastating. However, he must actually be able to talk to his opponent for this to properly work. Understanding, though, is no problem, for his power seems to transcend linguistics. Still, sound must come out his mouth for it to work properly.

Horrid Reality

  • Power: Illusion Creation
  • Level:Supreme
  • Kit Power Link: Avatar
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
Another of Barrabus's infernal powers is the ability to essentially reshape reality how he wishes. Of course, this reality he creates is not real and is possible to escape from if one runs away far enough. However, running tends to take the back seat to curing into the fetal posistion and crying when introduced to the nightmarish dreamscapes that Barrabus summons when facing an opponent. Fully real to every single sense, the nightmarish dreamscapes are a twisted funhouse of that which the opponent fears and loathes. When combined with Barrabus's ability to read the essence of souls, he can tailor each and every single one to the victim. Like his power to control emotions, Barrabus knows with the illusions EXACTLY what is needed to drive the victim into his deepest nightmares. A little goes a long way and Barrabus knows just what to use. When combined with his power to control emotions as well as his ability to read souls, things go from bad to worse on the opponent as their feelins begin to corrorspond to the nightmarish mindscape. This is truely a powerful ability

Soul Seer (Part II)

While Barrabus has a fundamental connection to the soul of his opponents, he also maintains a formidible presence on their mind when in combat. Able to read more than mere surface thoughts, Barrabus can delve into the minds of his opponents and get a nice, good look at what is within, more of the superficial aspects of his opponent (rather than the fundamental aspects he gets with his soul connection) like favorite foods, greatest fears, fantasies and nightmares. This is useful especially when constructing the dreamscapes with his illusions as well as reinforcing his knowledge of the victim's soul. With this knowledge reinforcing his other powers, he is truely a force to be feared.

Infernal Mind

Barrabus, though all appearances tell the mind otherwise, is not human. Not in the least bit and the only reason he appears so is because he feels that that form is the most convenient for accomplishing his goals. He has existed longer than the upstart race of man has sported thumbs. Demons are quite different from humans and while the lower levels of demons may be able to relate to humans better, at the rank of demon that Barrabus possesses, his thought processes work at such a level that they cannot even hope to be comprehended by the typical mortal mind. Attempts to touch his mind and influence its course are extremely difficult, as his thought processes work on a much higher level than most minds.
