 | The Koujaku was once the premier secret order of mage assassins in the world, until they stole a child's happiness. Aka Koujaku was once a normal girl, until the sisterhood found her to bear the mark of the Sparrow, showing her great aptitude for magic and martial arts. She was taken from her happy childhood and loving family and trained for fifteen years to become the next ascendant, the chosen one of the Koujaku. Although she has no memory of her past life, she harbored only a secret hatred of those who took her from the days she was loved and adored. Cursed with the name of those she now has slain, she now seeks to prove herself in the FPL, in secret hopes of someday finding a life free of killing. |

From since she could first way, the Koujaku trained Aka in the way of the longbow. Assassins used it due to it being silent, efficient, as well as the difficulty to locate a sniper. She is noted in history as being one of the greatest, after maiming or slaying those foolish enough to state challenges.

The leather-wrapped bow, which is never out of reach of Aka's hands, looks deceptively simple to the untrained eye. In Aka's hands, in tune to her magical prowess and years of training, the bow is effectively one of the most powerful weapons created by man. The arrows launches from it sing as they fly through the air. Using her mage powers, she can control the arrows of Hamukau to instinctively strike her opponents. Her latent powers allow her to predict where her targets would be even if they were moving at great speed. In short, she never misses her target. In addition to never missing, Aka can also create a small negation spell at the point of every arrow that can effectively puncture any type of defense her opponent may erect. Like all her spells, it is engraved into her soul, so she casts them by reflex.

Her inborn ability to move faster than normal adds to her longbow skills. She always is able to ready her bow quicker than her opponent can erect defenses. This potent combination of speed and accuracy, coupled with armor piercing, has ended many a fight before it had even begun.

A simple bone bracelet worn around her slim arm, made from the finger bones of the ancient Koujaku Shamen, generates a shield that protects Aka from harm during attacks. This shield was created for only Master Assassins of the Koujaku clan in order to ensure their survival during their duties. Due to her magical senses, she is also safe from the "piercing" abilities of others.
