Nightmare Report: Well, as far as I could decipher, and not to start putting blame on anyone or anything... it was Paradox's fault. It certainly wasn't mine, that's for certain. All right, here's what I was able to make sense of the whole fiasco. Our boy, Mackie McHeath, was about due to meet his maker. It was unfortunate really, one minute he was walking out of the theatre his old highschool had procured to put on a rather enjoyable production of "Sleeping Beauty", the next he was face to face with a mugger toting a gun and a none too sober looking expression. Shame really, but I suppose these things have to happen to somebody. Back to the point though, Death, Alex to his friends, was already laying in wait. Time, as in the time of Mackie's death, or Tina as she preferred to be called, was fast approaching. She was almost there when she stopped... pardon the pun, dead in her tracks. She had a look about her face, and let me just say this, I know that look. My son had it when he met my daughter-in-law at a little family-friends vacation we had a few years back and I probably had it when I met my wife. I'm quite sure I've been getting it every morning for the past 29 years I've been waking up next to her. Ladies and gentleman, Tina had come down with an acute case of love at first sight. Here's where Paradox started thinking he was funny. You see, if Mackie was say... stabbed with a knife or hit by a car, it might not have mattered, but was he? Nnnooo, he had to be shot, and not in the gut, not in the chest, not even in the heart, the mugger had to shoot him right between the eyes. The dilemma here is that a shot right between the eyes pretty much meant instant death, but how could death occur if the time of death had yet to arrive? Alex, a.k.a. Death, had to make a judgement call and his call was to take Mackie's life. Tina pretty much got jolted back to reality about then, and raced to Mackie's side. The time of death had finally arrived, but Mackie was technically already dead... he couldn't very well die at that point, but until the time arrived, he shouldn't have been dead. After all, Tina's not called 'the time of his death' for nothing; it's generally implied in her job description that until she got to her client, no dying. Yes, I'd like to knock Paradox's teeth in myself. Well, I could go on and on about the matter, but let's cut it short hmm? Mackie's still animate in case you're wondering, there was a somewhat heated argument on the matter between Time and Death, but Tina eventually won out. Suffice it to say, that while both sides offered flawed logical statements and assumptions, tenacity on the part of a love-sick Time won the day and Mackie was allowed to return to life... technically, he's still clinically dead despite the lack of any wounds however. Also, seeing as Tina is the time of his death, and this being the period of his demise... sort of, it's her job to stick around with him, which is perfectly fine in her book. Off the record, Mackie doesn't seem too unfond of the arrangement himself, Tina *is* a rather comely lass with a fairly sunny disposition after all. Back on record, Alex has to follow them around as well though; he's sort of stuck to Tina just as she's stuck to Mackie. He's Death after all, and he's more or less compelled to be present at the time of death, and what a coincidence *cough*not*cough*, Tina's the time of death. Alex doesn't seem too pleased however, but then, I wouldn't be pleased being the third wheel myself. So here we are, there they go, and well... Deadman Striding.
Personality: Nightmare Report: Well, I'm pleased to report that despite what must have been a most stressful situation, the primaries are all coping with it fairly well. Mackie was understandably unraveled at first, going into a bout of depression, but he seems to be out of the woods now, thanks in no small part to Tina's being there to support him. Speaking of Tina, she's always of been a delightful if somewhat erratic young lady in my view, the circumstances stemmed from the event seems to have mellowed her out a bit, I dare say, do I detect a hint of maturity? This is all very good of course. Alex, now there's a classic case of puberty if I ever saw one, and I've seen several in my time. Alex... he's a nice boy, he's at the stage of his 'life' where he feels morally obligated to be an anarchist however. Still, I don't see too much trouble on that end, as it just so happened, there are a lot worse people one can be trapped in Paradox with. Both Mackie and Tina may have their own problems, but they should be able to give Alex what he needs to get through this period. Overall, things should turn out just fine.

Nightmare Report: Hmm, now we come to the important part. Is Mackie McHeath a member of the Nightmare Club? I would say... yes, he's definitely one of us. He's just oozing with Probability. There are those who are extraordinary, and there are those who are inclined to be involved with the extraordinary, young Mr. McHeath is clearly of the former, though a bit of the latter as well. It may take awhile to sort things out, but once they are, he'll be more than apt to take his place as 1/7th of Nightmare. As I recall, it took me quite a few eons to come into bloom myself, heh... Well, I really must go now, wedding anniversary's coming up in a few weeks you understand, must make certain arrangements you see, and with that, I bid thee all, adieu.
It's weird y'know. I mean, there's just a buncha things you don't even know how to react to. I mean, I'm not even sure if I like it, but I can't feel pain anymore. I don't know if I should feel like I've been taking pain for granted or just be glad about it. It's the same thing with being tired or needing sleep or eating y'know. I mean, I don't exactly need to eat, but I still do it. At first it was cause it made me feel 'alive' y'know, but then Tina started saying how she thought it was cute that I still ate and all, and well... after awhile, I got over the whole 'eating to feel alive' thing. I still eat though, I mean, Tina seems to enjoy it even more than I do really, and if she thinks it's cute, I'm not gonna argue with her. I mean, I don't want to hurt her feelings y'know, I really care for her. Maybe I'm only just starting to fall for her, I admit that, I'm starting to feel about her the way she feels about me. I'm a guy, yeah, but I wouldn't be sleeping with her unless I at least cared for her y'know.
"The very thought of you... and I forget to do, the little ordinary things, everyone ought to do..." That's how I feel about Mackie right now... among other feelings I have for him. Funny thing about love, suddenly, all those oldie love songs make perfect sense. I guess that's how you know when you've fallen for someone. Hmm, what to say, what to say? I guess there really isn't much to say really, I have no excuse for how I feel. I can't help it if I fell for someone at first sight. Yes, I didn't know anything about him, but knowing somebody doesn't really have anything to do with loving them, it's a nice bonus but... not essential. All I knew then, all I know now, is that I love him. Maybe I'm not 'the one' for him, but he's 'the one' for me, and that's that. That's why I did what I did. I guess I should explain part of what happened that night. How Mackie's head-wound was healed. Well... you know what they say, time heal all wounds. I may be a fairly specific sort of time, but I'm not without some ability. Basically, I speeded time up for Mackie. Since he wasn't dead... or dead but wasn't, he healed instead of decayed. In other words, I gave him time to recover. Haha! Oh dear... It was tough going for us at first, relationship-wise, you have no idea how much giving him his space and time helped, since they're both the same thing, space and time that is, I just did what I did that night. Now everything's just peachy, and I couldn't be happier.
I AM DEATH! PH34R l\/l3 0Ooooh, what's the point? I mean, how did I end up with this gig? Who the blazes did I tick off to get stuck on a dead-end job like this anyway? This is just so not me. I mean... "Ooo, look at me, look at me! I'm Death! I TALK LIKE THIS! l 0\/\/l\lZ J00! \/\/007! l /-\l\/l 1337!" Yeah, right, whatever... I shouldn't be Death, it's not me. I'm not goth enough. I'm not into bad poetry and wearing black all the time. Heck, my favorite color's green. I like the sun, the sand, the string bikinis. I should be doing Life. Actually, I wouldn't mind 'doing' Life, she's hot... err, sorry. Anyway, yeah, it's kinda morbid being Death. You can't score either, least, not with the mortals. I mean... on the one hand, the mortal chicks really dig that aura thing, sends a chill down their spines, you don't get that with immortals. On the other hand, I can't really touch anybody or anything without them getting their lives sucked out and dying on me, which is a REAL bummer, let me tell you that. Chicks get a bad attitude problem if you kill them. So, yeah, anyways, Mackie's cool, so's Tina. I can't say I have a problem hangin' with them, it's like having a big brother and sister... I try not to remember they're going out together when I think about them in that term. At least I can't accidentally kill them if we touch, since we're all really just the same person. Which is good, I need a hug sometimes, and they don't mind giving me a hug now and then.
