The Extra is the product of the mad mixture of greedy Hollywood executives and estranged members of the scientific community, who want to be in movies. It has long been one of the most time consuming and expensive processes to recruit tv and movie stuntmen, if their sole purpose is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when the movies protagonist must "kick the living crap out of the villains henchmen." As an investment in the future of movie making and humankind in general, a group of the least respected movie makers with somehow unlimited capital scoured the worlds insane asylums and second rate college physics staffs in search for an answer. Finally, after many long debates and games of charades, the scientists produced an extrapolation/construction chamber that could combine all the best elements of all the worst goons in Hollywoods action flic hall of fame, with the quiet and accepting personality of the standard, low pay extra. Shortly after "the switch" was pulled (over 30 scientists and 6 movie executives vied for the Igor position) the ultra generic goon-hero, The Extra, was born. Much to the lamenting of the group who produced him, a small fragment of the standard movie hero's resolve and dedication had filtered into him, giving him the instinct to find evil, combat it, and get involved in as many barfights as possible. With Khazan being the nexus of all realities and trivial barfights, he was led to the FPL like a moth to a flame.

 

Strength:

 

Weak BELOW normal human strength -
can bench press 50 pounds (maybe).
Agility:

 

Weak BELOW normal human agility.
Slow and uncoordinated.
Body:

 

Weak BELOW normal human endurance.
Goes down easy and stays there.
Mind:

 

Weak BELOW normal human mental power.
Not the sharpest tack in the drawer.

Goon Generator

The single power that sets The Extra above all other hero's and allows him to win most fights is his ability to "multiply like rabbits." While duplication usually diminishes a strong or fast fighter, The Extra really has nothing to lose. There is an upper limit to how many of The Extra appears at a time, but as soon as one gets knocked out or destroyed, another jumps up and takes his place. On rare occasion he has won fights by burying his opponent in unconscience duplicates of himself.

Goon Fu

A necessary ability of any low ranked goon is some training in some form of Martial Arts. Apparently his fighting style is original enough to get it's own name - Goon Fu. If The Extra were to remain as his original, single bodied self, he'd actually be quite dangerous.

Sword Master

A gift from his ninja side is his sword wielding abilities. While it is easy enough to knock the sword away from an Extra, the next one duplicated comes complete with his own. Oddly enough, The Extra's aren't able to effectively use each others weapons (and the idea never seems to occur to them, anyway.)

Movie Prop Sword

A standard run of the mill sword, made cheaply and in great numbers (just like The Extra...)

Marksman

  • Power: Marksman

Many movie goons carry guns, and so does The Extra. Naturally, he has some skill using them.

 

Pistol

  • Power: Pistol

  • Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance (only).
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Hard to Loseitem
Depending on the situation, an Extra duplicate will appear ready and trained with a six-shooter, a luger or .38 special.

AUJW Disguise Kit(tm)

  • Power: Blending
  • Level:Superior
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Hard to Loseitem
One of The Extras many interesting strengths is his ability to flawlessly blend into any environment...poorly. Carrying an Acme Universal Junior Wonder Disguise Kit(tm) he is quickly able to switch to the persona of a bar patron, a ninja, a mob hitman or a wild west gunfighter, and is quickly able to camoflage himself to hide in any terrain. He doesn't seem to realize that the more duplicates he creates, the more ludicrous his disguises look.

The Extra Toss

If you want a job done right, do it yourself. As a demonstration of self sacrifice, self discipline, and group masochism, The Extra will often form into two man teams and throw himself bodily at the problem. It can truly be a frightening sight to behold.

 

Extra Clingyness

When an Extra gets close enough to his opponent, he can leap on to him with a nigh-above-average deathgrip, clinging to an enemy's back, legs, etc, and will stay attached until physically removed. An opponent can quickly find himself stumbling around carried from head to toe with Extra Clingy Extras...
