Still, how am I supposed to carry on with my work under the present conditions? The red tape is pilling up and there's no hellfire to burn it all up! For Go... His sake, the hellfire's the only thing that keeps us efficient! This isn't the same as up there, down here we have to use 186's because... well, simply because it's the evil thing to do really. One would think He does these things on purpose though. As if a demon and an angel falling in love weren't enough to freeze this place over, He had the unmitigated gall to do THAT! He hasn't let THAT happen since Luci. Now that I think about it, maybe Luci being able to defy Him wasn't such an unexpected development after all? Hmm, regardless, the kids seem to be doing well, it'd warm my black heart that they were if it wasn't so dam... really cold here. Seems He's keeping a personal eye on them. Word on the grapevine is that He's delegated network administration to the archangels while He's spends some time on this little project of His. Hmm, wait, if He's not keeping an eye on the system Himself... methinks a little hacking and cracking is in order hmm? ARGH! Curses, my best hackers and crackers are all out moonlighting while the office is frozen over. Curse Him! Freezing us over so that we wouldn't be able to take advantage of Him not personally heading the system administration? What deviousness! Worst yet, why didn't *I* think of it first!? Why, imagine, I could have totally incapacitate the rivals to Beelzebub Inc. Ah, lost chances. The others have probably realized this as well. I forsee a lot of unforseen events about to happen. The demonette known as Holli hath fallen in love with the angel lad Sammy and vice versa, and they art even now wandering the mortal realm. The power of love? You expect love to conquer all? That's a nice theory, about as corny as a corn farm, you've just managed to somehow forget there's also jealousy, shame, lust and a whole slew of other factors. Of course, I'm being just plain negative here. There's also trust, friendship, devotion and others though. So, how does love overcome all these others? "Because when you look at it, all those things originate from love. On one level or another, we love. We need love. It is not a matter of whether we choose to love or not. Our lives are all based on love. Love binds people together. Society would fall without love. Love binds both parentand child. Without it, there is no comfort, no joy and no life. I can still remember when we first met. I was getting out of the elevator and on my way to report on my first job when I saw her sitting alone and twiddling her thumbs, waiting for Him to call her into His office. I didn't know it back then, but I fell in love with her at first sight. I didn't feel happy when I saw her though. I felt sad. Pity even. She was sniffling and trying to hold back tears. I went over to ask her what the matter was but she didn't take too kindly to me nosing into her business, so she tried ignoring me. In the tradition of all good little angels everywhere though, I just bugged her till she gave in. Oh yeah, did I mention that? I'm an angel, or at least, I was back then. That's when she smiled at me. It was the prettiest smile I've ever seen. When she did it, a flutter came over my heart. Anyway, to make a long story short, we talked. She told me her name was Holli and that she messed up on her last few assignments, so now she's up for a reprimand. We talked for a bit more until He called her in. I went to make my report and stayed back to wait for her meeting to end. As I waited, all I could think about was how pretty she was. My reverie was cut short when she stormed out of His office, tears in her eyes. I guess He laid it on pretty thick. I trailed her and kept nagging her when she wouldn't talk to me till she finally broke down and had a good old fashion cry. After that, we got along a lot better. We spent the next few years together almost all the time and told each other everything... well, almost everything. She still wouldn't tell me what happened in His office, which worried me, since he could be pretty harsh, but I promised never to ask about it, and all good angels kept their promises. Other than that, we were inseparable, or at least, we WERE inseparable. One day, she just started acting weird. I mean REAL weird. She knew something was up. She knew since she came out of that meeting, but... I... we... I lost my virginity that day, say it was nature taking its course, say it was a parting gift, I don't know... All I knew was that I would die without Holli. It took everything I got, but I got her out of whatever He was putting her through. That's when I felt the ground giving out under me, and I Fell. When I woke up, Holli was there cuddling next me, just as we were meant to be. She changed, she didn't look anything like she did before, but she was still the most beautiful and pretty angel I've ever seen. Ooh, it hurt. You have no idea how much it hurt. When I saw him, I had to hold back tears. I knew it was love at first sight. I'm a demon, and we don't deny our feelings like angels do. I knew I loved him, I knew we weren't SUPPOSED to be meant for each other and I knew I was about to get called into His office for a smiting. I was playing around with my fingers, trying not to cry when he came over and my heart jumped. He asked me what was wrong and I tried giving him the cold shoulder, c'mon c'mon, call me into Your office and get the smiting over with, at least then it'd stopped hurting. But He decided not to buzz me in, meaning I had to sit there, with... the one... my one. The one I finally smiled at and told what my name was. The one who told me his name was Sammy. The one I love. Anyways, me and Sammy gots to talking and we learned some pretty neat stuff about each other. I lied about why I was being called into His office of course, and half-lied on everything else, but it was CLOSE to the truth and that's pretty good for a demon. After awhile, He finally decided to let me into His office, so after Sammy went off to make his report, I tried to make a break for it. I didn't wanna be smited, not after talking to Sammy. It didn't work though; I turned around to run and POOF! I was in His office. I don't know why He did it, but He let me off the smiting and even told me that I could stay in heaven awhile, but then I'd have to go to heck though. Now hell is bad, but heck is worse, mostly cause it's so BORING. It still beats being smited though. I was so happy about what He said; I just ran out of His office with tears of joy in my eyes, that don't happen much with demons. I ran around a bit till Sammy caught up to me, I tried holding it back, but in the end, I just broke down and cried all over him. I was happy. I've never been happy before. The next few years were great, a little boring sometimes, but hey, you can't win 'em all. Then the day came, it was time. I had a day to say good bye and I finally figured out something strange about myself. Now I'm no succubus, but the weird thing was, I was 'pure'. I never thought about why a demon would be 'pure' but that day, I knew I was meant for Sammy and Sammy only. Thing is, we had a bond, and after 'doing it', our bond got REAL strong. Strong enough to go against the way things were SUPPOSE to be and even break His word... That's when it hit me. The Big G's pretty smart y'know. The wait outside His office, telling me I only had a little time before I gets the boot, the years He let me and Sammy be together, then letting us bond... He made sure even He couldn't break me and Sammy up. Sammy didn't know at the time of course, so he tried pulling me back up while heck tried pulling me down. In the end, we both got Grounded. That's a surprise, I guess we can cross out the wee folk as being Them, though I did seem to catch a few lurking back there. You better find a way to make it up to Them before... uh oh. Well, I suppose there are worse fates than being picked up by the wind. At least They didn't hit Their mark with those knives and WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE! Ouch, that's GOTTA hurt. Hmm, that giant hand coming out of the ground doesn't look too friendly. I best not stay to watch the carnage, but before I leave... kids, today's lesson is, don't ever try to get in the way of true love. Especially one that's got backing from Them, because as you can see from what's happening to that poor poor soul over yonder, They don't believe in an eye for an eye. They believe in an eye for an eye and the other eye and the nose, the ears, the teeth, the ribs and OUCH! Apparently they also believe in the pelvic region as well. Together at last, as destined, as natural... as one. A love that is meant to be. A love that will be protected by all things right, and even some things wrong. Yes, something sinister, yet so simple that it defies comprehension. The question then is, what? And the answer is sweet as it is simple. Why should these two children be kept together? The Simon Report: After a thorough analysis of the current system, my staff and I have come to the conclusion that efficiency can not only be optimised, but greatly enhanced through the installation of a Trinity System to run alongside the current system. That said, Eden Enterprises have already carried out the installation of this Trinity System of which I'm speaking. The first part of the Trinity System is called 'Gold'. The system will consist of the Cosmic Computer known as Balthasar and will be under the supervision of Urth, Norn Goddess of the Past. Urth is an excellent and experienced maintainer, unfortunately, she's of... otherworldly origins, means she isn't quite able to stand the fresh air of the sweet sweet mountains. Not that I could myself but that's beside the point.

The Second part of the Trinity System to run alongside our current Flowers, Wreaths and Wrath System will be using the Caspar Cosmic Computer. Like Balthasar, Caspar will deliver divine retribution to any and all threats to the children. Caspar will be maintained by a former employee of Beelzebub Inc. itself. Currently holding the position of Norn Goddess of the present, Verthandi is a very dependable individual. She was one of my better hackers during her days with my company... did I say hacker? I meant, information retrieval specialist. Well, moving on, there's a reason she's not with Beelzebub Inc. at the moment, and it's because the current events have made the office environment rather inhospitable. Oh, she'll get aclimated, but in the meantime, can't work very well in extremely cold environments. Heheh, I'm sure my actions with helping Him on this project is making working conditions rather unbearable over at the other offices like Mourningstar Limited, heheh, what a pity *snicker*. Well, back to our presentation, Verthandi's slightly less experienced with Urth, so while I'm sure she'll get better in due time, at the moment, the possibility of Caspar freezing during her administration is just ever so slightly higher.

Now ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, and... others, may I present to you, the youngest of our maintainers, mistress Skuld. Top of her class at Baal Omniversity, and part of an inter-organizational program between Eden Enterprises and my own Beelzebub Incorporated, Skuld will be taking charge of Melchior. I'm sure some of you may doubt her ability, seeing as she's of such a tender age, but let me assure you that she is a prodigy and in fact, was one of the lead designers of the Trinity System, meaning she has full knowledge of how to use it with absolutely *no* hang-ups. That said, let me put your fears to rest, we have successfully repelled the child labor laws regarding how much work she's allowed to do, meaning that yes, we can legally have her work the full shift. *clap* *clap* For those of you wondering where Skuld is from, she's a product of Eden Enterprises itself and therefore not required to work in the hellfiery depths of down there by decree of the agreement between the higher ups of those of us down there and the not the top but pretty high up of those up there in regards to our crossover project.
