In my youth, they called me "The Blink." They said I could kill a man in a blink of an eye. The assumption was hardly true, but the title makes for great publicity. In my youth, I killed for a living. Bounty hunting was my call. I hate to say it, but you haven't really lived until you've looked down the barrel of a gun and killed a man. At the time, that was the only way I really felt alive... at the moment I was taking away another man's life. But that got old, just as everything does. I mean, look at me. I'm not exactly the picture of youth anymore. Of course, I'd like to see you get married and have a child and still keep up those young rugged good looks. The wife... she was one of my targets. Seems she pissed off some megaconglomerate owner. Don't remember the exact corp now, could have been Dollar Industries, KOMBG, or any of the other corps here in Khazan. Doesn't matter now, all I know is that the moment I looked down the barrel that time, that sense of satisfaction wasn't there anymore. I still shot her, in the shoulder, in order to leave some evidence to "prove" to my employer that I did my job. I took the payment and ran. Fast forward a bit. Mundane life settles in, and I find I'm far more suited for it that I ever anticipated. My now-wife-former-target and I had a child. My wife worked for another megacorp. I was a teacher making an average teacher's wage. Obviously my wife was our money earner. That is, until she died suddenly. The doctors didn't know why, it was as if her soul just... left. Her body was still in perfect health, save for the fact that it was dead. I know who did it. The one true mistake I made in my hunting days came back to haunt me... but I won't bore you with those details. Let me just say that my wife's murderer currently has a bounty on her head... and with my wife's death I've been forced to return to my former occupation to support my daughter. Sweet coincidence.

Personality: I hate to have this sort of attitide, but a purely buisness-like persona is best for the sort of buisness I do. Take the deal, do the job, return with proof, and take the bounty. But the years have put a dent in my brutal and cold mannerisms. The killer instinct is slowly leaving me with every day that passes by. And you know what... I really don't mind.

Master Training

To say that the gun is an inferior weapon to the sword is a lie. Each weapon takes dedication and sacrifice to master. Any fool can point a gun at someone, and any fool can swing a sword. Only the true master can say with total confidence that in doing so that their shot or their stroke will kill or not kill. Mastery in the weapon means mastery of taking and giving life.

The Confident Art

  • Power: Marksman
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Easy to Loseitem
After all of these years, I still have the same confidence in my accuracy that I did in my youth. The arrogance is gone. I simply don't flaunt my skill. Shoot with the intent of ending the fight, not with the intent of proving my worth. My worth isn't in question. Only my ability to carry out my job.

Pistol

  • Power: Pistol
  • Level:Standard
  • Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance (only).
Normal targets rarely warrant the use of anything more than a standard, store-bought, mass produced pistol. A simple foe deserves a simple bullet and nothing more.

The Confidant

  • Power: Disintegration
  • Level:Superior
  • Seeker This attack hunts and follows its target.
  • Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance (only).
  • Armor Piercing This attack ignores normal defenses which are not Reinforced.
  • Multi Attack Attack can hit multiple times during one strike.
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Easy to Loseitem
Before I met my wife, my gun was my closest friend. You may think it strange to speak to one's gun as if it were a person, but despite having a band of fellow hunters, I felt my closest bond with my gun. That ended once I put my wedding ring on, and began again once my wife died. After all, only the item which deals out the suffering I direct could fully understand.

The Blink: Unseen Draw

  • Power: Invisibility
  • Level:Standard
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Easy to Loseitem
The speed at which my hands move while grasping my gun can be difficult for even my own eyes to follow. Few men saw the gun or the bullet come before they lay dying on the ground. All they see is the smoke rising from the gun as I lower it back into its holdster.

The Blink: Unseen Draw

  • Power: Blending
  • Level:Standard
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Easy to Loseitem
It isn't like the gun phases out of reality or becomes truly invisible. If someone truly had a trained eye, they would be able to track my movements. But today's youth simply lacks the skill to do so. The vast majority depend upon brute force or flash to kill. I my day, style and force only got oneself killed.

The Blink: Quickdraw

  • Power: Super Speed
  • Level:Standard
  • Weakness: Power in Item -Easy to Loseitem
Speed also isn't something one should depend upon. Quickness is nothing when facing someone that can follow your every movement. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but balance is the key. Dependence on one skill will only bring about your downfall. I may be fast, but the day I depend upon my speed alone is the day I die.

Immunity: Super Speed

As I said, speed is nothing when you face someone that can observe your every movement. Observation is a simple skill the youth of today seem to lack. Watch your opponent just as much as you plot your own actions, and the initiative is always yours.

Resistance: Master Training

There's no such thing as a new trick. The only remaining aspect of originality is your own style. Take the moves of your teachers and adapt them to your own personality. Just never delude yourself into believing that you have developed a new technique. Someone has done it before and done it better. And chances are... I've seen it.

Observation and Expectations

  • Power: X-Ray Vision
  • Level:Standard
  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain Misty Vale
I see the gun you have in your trenchcoat. Go ahead, take it out. No need to hide things from me, I've grown to expect this sort of thing. And tell your buddies that are hiding around the corner to come on out as well, they aren't going to get the jump on me today. Give a man some respect and at least try to be original.

Patience

  • Power: Healing
  • Level:Standard
  • Weakness: Limited Uses -One Use
Take a moment to rest in battle when need be. Breathe in and out, take in fresh air. Rejuvenate what stamina you've lost. Never take too long. Only do it when most necessary. Never do it more than once a battle. Such patience in battle and knowing when to do so will help just as much as any weapon at your side.

The Forgotten Art

  • Power: Martial Arts
  • Level:Ultimate
  • Melee Attack Attack usable only hand to hand.
One doesn't truly forget their skills. One simply willingly decides to act as if they have forgotten their past. Strange enough, my own fists and feet were far more easy to abandon than my gun. Killing a man with one's own hands is not as personal as it seems. Snapping a man's neck from behind, or kicking him in the right vital point is not as intimate as being behind the hilt of a gun. Flesh to flesh contact has no spiritual connontation. A bullet, as sick as it sounds, does for me. The sound of tearing muscle tissue and severed limbs doesn't have the same quality when so close as it does accompanied by the singing sound of a gunshot. Thus my melee assassination skills were far more easy to forget. But now, after my hands have been restained with the blood of the guilty and innocent, it comes back to me all too willingly.
