Captain Moltar

The only enduring avatar of a cosmic principle that couldn't care less, Lord Apathy has spent eons sitting on a rock in the deepest void of space (mainly because he's never been motivated to move, but it may also be because no intelligent civilization wants anything to do with him.) This all came to an end recently, when an unknown diety with a questionable sense of humor sent a nigh indestructable cosmic forklift to literally "pick up" Lord Apathy (and his rock) and carry him about the universe causing biblical mischief. Lord Apathy has all the powers of a major cosmic principle, but nothing...NOTHING...could ever convince him there was a point in using them. He is far from defenseless though, as his very presence gives the local space/time continuam a severe case of heartburn. Energy, even light, diffuses and wanders off when it approaches him. Molecules say "What's the point?" and lose cohesion when near him, so matter itself breaks down when around him for long (which begs the question "What is that rock and forklift made of?") The psychological ramifications of anything living trying to "get sociable" with Lord Apathy are almost unthinkable. He is not without weakness though, as it is said in legend that if one is of strong enough will, there may be a chance of ridding the cosmos of...well...who cares?

Armor of Apathy

     Body Armor: Supreme

  • Weakness: Power in Item - Hard to Lose

Being made of pure Apathy and Inaction, no thinking lifeform has ever been able to devise a means of treating or modifying an attack so that it might pierce the Armor of Apathy.

Power Advantage: Reinforced Defenses

Power Advantage: Reinforced Defenses: Not Applicable

  • Weakness: Power in Item - Hard to Lose

Strengthened by Lord Apathy and every non-action in the Universe, the Armor of Apathy is fortified to an almost impregnable state.

Immovable Object

Power Advantage: The Ultimate: Not Applicable

  • Weakness: Power in Item - Hard to Lose

It is unknown just how powerful the Armor of Apathy is, but when experts are asked, most reply "It's pretty freakin' tough, man, I kid you NOT." Empowered with a force of inaction equal to any energy or force applied against it, it is usually beyond mortal means to even budge him, which could make him the theoretical "Immovable Object." It is rumored that at one time an advanced civilization had managed to teleport Lord Apathy to the center of a star...where he sat until the star expired around him.

Immunity to Mind Control

     Immunity: Standard

Being the living (or unliving?) embodiement of inaction, it is impossible to convince Lord Apathy to act in any way, and it doesn't help that his body has atrophied to the point where he is physically unable to move in any way, other then sitting up straight on his rock. It has been theorized that Lord Apathy may have died long ago and nobody noticed, but this is unlikely, as expiring would be far too ambitious for him.

Immunity to Tactics

     Immunity: Standard

Lord Apathy is simply immune to tactics and any form of battle plan. All he does is sit on a rock and stare into space, if he does that much. The infinite absurdity of his ultimate inaction causes the strategic section of his opponents minds to turn off the lights, lock the door, and go to bed.

Chill of Apathy

     Cold: Standard

Any who approach Lord Apathy must face the Chill of Apathy. Molecules themsleves are eventually overwhelmed by the endless tedium of Apathy, and as they slow, heat is stripped from them. It would take hundreds or thousands of years to reduce some objects to absolute zero, but Lord Apathy isn't going anywhere.

True Apathy

     Emotion Control: Standard

Lord Apathy's challengers are faced with the slow, nagging power of True Apathy. As the fight continues, and warriors exhaust themsleves trying to hurt or somehow effect Lord Apathy, they eventually give up and surrender to the temptation to do nothing, and simply stop.

Forklift of Doom

     Flight: Standard

  • Weakness: Power in Item - Hard to Lose

It is indeed a strange thing to behold: An unholy Forklift of Doom flying a completely unmotivated avatar across a battlefield. Apparently the Forklift has some sort of attitude problem, as it refuses to move if it's in the presence of somebody that can run circles around it.
