The first thing you notice is the smell. That aroma, that beautiful scent that dances through the crowds to greet you. Sweet, soothing, seductive, you are locked into its pull. And that is when you hear the voice. Warm, like the coming of dawn on a summer day, it sinks into your ears and plays inside of your head, inviting you to join it in tranquillity. Perhaps she says hello, perhaps she asks you your name, or perhaps she simply excuses herself as she moves past you. It doesn't matter. You are lost in her words. But then you see her. Her eyes a smooth brown, they meet yours in an embrace that feels like it lasts for millennia. It's like when you walk down the street, and your eyes lock with a passer-by. You fall in love, just for a second, and then that feeling blows away with the wind. Only the feeling does not leave you, and you find yourself trapped in her gaze. And she smiles. Her features are illuminated, and you feel your chest compress under the sheer beauty of her. You are under her spell.

For a moment, you swear you see the glitter of gold behind her pearly white teeth.

Perhaps you buy her a drink. A token of gratitude for her company, or maybe a gateway to a much darker motive? Regardless, she is receptive, and drinks with you. She asks for more, and you grin to yourself. You have her, the spider has captured the little bug, and now waits only for the right opportunity to weave an unbreakable straightjacket. As she drinks, she continues to converse with you. Her voice still serenades you, every word like a song from the angels of heaven themselves. You’re beginning to have difficulty understanding; the alcohol is having an effect. She merely smiles that brilliant smile once again, and places her hand on your arm. Her hand is sooth to the touch, feeling like fine silk against your skin. Your entire body loosens, as a feeling of comfort washes over you. Your vision blurs. The alcohol hits you suddenly, and you begin to fade away.

You close your eyes, not to darkness, but to a golden hew.

You return to the world in a haze. What little you can see is blurred or obscured, and lights shine into your eyes from the ceiling. But you can hear perfectly. That serenade from before, now higher pitched but no less beautiful. As your vision returns, you make out our surroundings. You are lay upon a king sized bed, candles surround you, returning the smell from the night before.

A door opens at the end of the room. And now you see her. She is still singing, every note bringing with it a state of bliss. She is dressed now in golden fabrics, flowing across her body like the tide across golden sands. She walks toward you, every step like the opening of a rosebud, a splash of colour into your mind as it continues to recover. Soon, she is on the bed. As she works her hands up your body, unbuttoning your shirt, she moves her tongue slowly over her lips. Once more, you think you see a sparkle of gold behind her mouth.

She moves her hands again. Such thoughts are soon erased.

Lousy lovers pick their prey

     Binding: standard (rank 1)

Her beauty is like nothing you have ever experienced before. You are unable to move your eyes from her perfect figure throughout the whole experience. She is like a goddess, her every movement brings forth images of ancient Greek statues, pride, strength, and elegance unmatched in the entire world. You wish the experience would last an eternity; your entire body is overcome by sensations of ecstasy. You couldn't move even if you wanted to.

You are no longer the spider. You are the little bug, you are caught in her trap. And you would have it no other way.

Ancient Queen

     Empathy: standard (rank 1)

She's the best you’ve ever had. Every movement, every kiss, is exactly where and when you want it to be. She drags you into a world of pleasure, where the very essence of your being revolves around the experience of joy. She smiles that smile once more, and you fall back under a wave of pure emotion.

It is done. You grin, ecstatic after your experience. You move toward her for on embrace. She does not return the gesture. She has her back to you. Briefly, you wonder what's wrong with her. Had you under performed? Had she done something she regretted? Such thoughts do not last long, however. Her head begins to turn, and like before, her gaze meets yours. But there is something different this time.

She opens her mouth. You are almost blinded by the shimmering light that is produced, as golden particles pour out of her mouth from the depths of her stomach, surrounding you and filling the room.

Shatter your illusions of love

     Poison: standard (rank 1)

The dust begins to spin around you, a glittering tornado with you at its epicentre. You start to panic, the earlier elation rapidly escaping you as you try to make sense of what is happening to you. You can see just enough to make her out. And she's smiling. But this is not the soothing smile you'd become accustomed to. A wide, terrifying grin adorns her face, a beauty shed in favour of sharp teeth and pasty white skin. Perhaps you cry. Perhaps you close your eyes. Perhaps you try to run. But it is no good. The dust makes its way into your nose, into your mouth, your ears, even through your eyes. Your body feels like it is being torn apart from the inside, and you start to shake violently, and fall to your knees.

She's laughing. The sound of her voice now harsh and cruel, cutting into your very being as your own body betrays you.

Struggle, little bug. Pull yourself deeper into the web.

Take your silver spoon, dig your grave

     Inhibit Senses: standard (rank 1)

Suddenly, violently, you jerk forward. It feels like your stomach is being torn out through your throat as you vomit onto the floor. You're drunk again, as if the effects of the alcohol had somehow been locked away until now. The room spins around you as you attempt to regain your footing. Your vision blurs again, and you stumble forward. You extend your hand, and find solid matter. You are repulsed. The body before you is no longer smooth, the feeling of silk clearly an illusion given way for a ridged, bumpy hide. She takes your hand in hers, and pulls it toward her. You release a sharp, splitting scream as you feel the pressure of sharp, crushing teeth on your fingers. You drop to your knees once more, as you feel the heat of your own blood dribbling down your arm. You sob uncontrollably. The realisation begins to settle in.

You're trapped.

Rulers make bad lovers

     Emotion Control: superior (rank 2)

Slowly, the tears subside. You slump completely to the floor, a blubbering mess, retreating into his own vomit for comfort. And then she laughs again. That gnawing, biting laughter that burns at your sanity. But it doesn't repulse you this time. It's funny. You sit up, and smile. You laugh, loudly and heartily, ignoring the digestive fluids dripping down your face.

You come to a sudden stop, and the realisation of your surroundings hits you again as you look up to your captor. Her gaze elicits a terror within you, as you desperately crawl away from the creature before you. The beast oozes the stench of death itself, rotten, writhing, and infested with maggots. Her skin melts away in your mind, revealing a darkness so great and terrible as to be the fuel of nightmares. She touches you gently on the cheek, and you claw at it, attempting to remove her stain, scratching bits of your own skin off.

Her insidious little giggle is barely registered underneath your own screams.

Black Widow

     Mind Control: standard (rank 1)

The spider has you. Trapped forever in its tangled web, you struggled, and you fought. But the spider will have its meal, little bug. She will feast.

You stand up. The fight is gone, the fire is extinguished. Her new form becomes beautiful, in its on way. Her gaping maw invites you to a new sensation, the sweet, succulent taste of nothingness, and ending. You wrap your arms around her in a final embrace, and offer your tongue into her biting jaws. Pain is only temporary, and what comes next is infinite.

The last thing you notice is the stabbing pain of serrated daggers, tearing into your larynx.
