This puts the Territory into contention... and gives me an idea to kick of this war.

 

I'll change the map to give Both parties the Territory, but I will expand it's boarders so that it can accommodate two full nations. This is the match to the Powder keg of Khazan!

Before I give you my stats, I'd like to ask a question.

Are space weapons going to be allowed? Because my country currently has a large space program (both for military and exploration purposes) and I'd like to know whether to include that or not.

Geography:

Number of Provinces

TheJ0ke has four provinces.

The first province, Farce, takes up almost the entire southern coast. Paradoe is a north-western province, and it also covers all of the western border not taken by Farce. Anantic is located directly to the east of Paradoe and takes up the rest of the northern coast. Finally, Caprica is located in the South-East and takes up a small portion of the southern coast. It also holds the nation's capital.

 

Climate and Terrain

Due to its location on a southern peninsula, TheJ0ke has a relatively cool climate for much of the year (60-75 degrees Fahrenheit). The air is quite humid and although it does not rain often, when it does rain, it comes down in torrents. A mountain range runs through the center of the peninsula and branches off into several much smaller ranges in the north-west. Many of the valleys in between these ranges are heavily forested and filled with wildlife. As such much of TheJ0ke's urbanization has occurred along the coast (mostly on the south-east and north-east). Inside many of these valleys reside military testing sites, although no one is quite sure which valleys have them.

 

Natural Resources

Large deposits of metals such as iron, copper, and smaller deposits of gold and uranium have been found inside the various mountain ranges. Fishing remains to be a major source of income for the country with warm ocean currents drawing many fish just off the coast. With its many forests, wood is a readily available resource, although many corporations are having difficulty transporting the cut wood across the mountain ranges.

 

Natural Hazards

The large deluges of rain which sporadically occur throughout the Winter and Spring cause many flash floods and mudslides. This is particularly a problem for many inland towns. There is also an active volcano in one of TheJ0ke's central mountain ranges which seems to erupt (Strombolian type) at fairly regular intervals of twice every five years.

 

Military

Percentage of Population

The government's heavy emphasis on defense and law and order has created a society where joining the military is very popular and it is not uncommon for people to enlist right after graduating from high school. As such, TheJ0ke has a relatively large amount military personnel with around 12% of the population enlisted in the armed forces (with another 6% in reserve). Which means that at the last count, there were around 22,320,000 people enlisted.

 

Typical Infantry Equipment for a 10 Man Squad

-5 soldiers; primarily armed with assault rifles or SMGs and smoke grenades

-2 medics; armed with shotguns and compact SMGs and carrying med-kits

-2 heavy weaponry/explosives experts;armed with LMGs and explosives such as mines, C4, or rocket launchers

-1 soldier armed with a long distance rifle (possibly a sniper, but not usually)

 

All soldiers are also armed with 1-3 frag grenades, a combat knife, and a sidearm such as a pistol or machine pistol.

All soldiers also wear kevlar vests with light plastic plate armor around the shins, forearms (outer part only), and elbows. Light helmets, with a clear plastic visor for the eyes, are also worn. However, these thin helmets are primarily for deflecting debris and some shrapnel and as such are mainly padding with a light outer shell. Medics have heavier armor, of the same material, in addition to kneepads.

 

Common Front-line Tank

42 ton Punchline tank.

Primary armament: 105mm cannon

Secondary armament: 1 coaxial MG, 6 vents located around the tanks base which can vent smoke/poisonous gas (can be interchanged with flame emitters)

Top speed: 25 mph (40 km/h)

The Punchline tank is a relatively heavily armed tank considering its weight and top speed. This is achievable through the tank's advanced lightweight engine, fairly light armor, and suspension that also allows it to climb slopes and traverse terrain which other are incapable of. It's armor consists of mainly of composite armor and is designed to deflect rather than absorb all but the largest incoming projectiles allowing the Punchline to sustain nearly as much damage as other, similarly weighted tanks despite the light armoring.

 

Common Front-line Aircraft

S70 Wisecrack

This aircraft only has 1 centrally mounted forward 20mm M61 Vulcan cannon to make room for the large missile rack. The Wisecrack is also capable of dropping small cluster bombs to provide additional ground support. The S70 Wisecrack is capable of achieving speeds of Mach 1.7 with afterburners and, although not capable of "turning on a dime", is still highly maneuverable. However, the S70 Wisecrack's signature features are its stealth and transmission jamming features.

 

Common Front-line Ship

U42 Subpun

Top speed: 20 knots surfaced; 40 knots submerged

Although TheJ0ke has a moderately sized navy, and the amount of true ships is relatively small. Instead, the bulk of the navy is composed of U42 Subpun submarines (most of the actual ships are aircraft carriers with small transport and support ships). The Subpun is armed with four forward mounted torpedo launchers, one rear facing torpedo launcher, and a specially designed small missile silo on the most advanced models (max range of about 700 miles/1,126.5km). On the largest variants (currently prototypes) of the U42 Subpun, the silo is replaced with an experimental laser cannon (which admittedly is extremely prone to malfunction and/or blowing up). All Subpuns are lightly armored and rely mostly on the protection afforded by deep submersion.

Drones are good but I'd stick to telepresence systems rather than AIs... Cameras and Remote Control etc. Just remember though that such a system in theory could be Hacked.

The Kingdom Of Cruciamentum

Cruciamentum's Statistics

 

 

Geography

- Number of Provinces/States/Territories

Cruciamentum consits of four states, one for each direction (North, South, East, West). The North state is called Maiestas, the South is called Venustas, the East, Audentia, and the West, Regenious.

 

- Climate/Terrain

The Kingdom of Cruciamentum has a relatively flat, forrested terrain. Central and southern areas tend to be slightly more humid, and have an all around greater amount of precepitation per year. The Western part of the country is adorned with a few small mountains, of which Mt. Maior is the largest.

 

- Natural Resources (List a couple form Most abundant to least)

The amount of Cruciamentum's natural resources have yet to be fully ascertained, but they include Wood, Uranium, Metal Ore, and Bear meat.

 

- Natural Hazards (Mountains = Rock slides, Hot Arid = Heat, Hot Wet = Disease, etc. Go wild but make it reasonable)

The Humid areas tend to have excessive amounts of rainfall every few years. Notable is the "Disaster of Trinopolis," a flood so devastating it compeletely wiped out the city for which it's named. Over 15,000 were killed that day.

 

 

Military

- % of Pop in Military (5 to 10% is Standard... 25% or more is Psychotic Paranoia)

19.5% of Cruciamentum's population is in active military duties. An extra 6.5% are in the reserves. The Military has a current budget of $92 Billion.

Ok, you're going to have to elaborate on this "Death World" thing... As well a Tsunami that hit's you would hit All of us. Lastly... the Xenomorph, it will have to be toned down as if it were to be the actual Xenomorph then we'd all have to be against it and thus you. I will allow it to look and act like a Xenomorph in every way except it's rapid gestation and breeding habits, which will be really slow and more Earth Parasite natural...

 

 

Squad: PMA Assault Rifle, rival of the M41A Pulse Rifle (4), Bullet proof armor of Non newtonian fluid reinforced by spider silk (all ten) and Xenomorph hide, fletchette grenades( all ten), Anti-tank rifle .90 caliber (2) medics with automatic combat shotguns, (3) and the team sniper with MM 24 sniper rifle, with rivals the CheyTac M200.

Elaborate again on your choice of Weapons. Also try to keep it to Modern Tech, an Assault Rifle is good, but not one with 10mm caseless, steel jacketed, high explosive ammo... Actually I could allow this, but it would take the Bulk of your budget... I would think that the cost to equip your troops with this ammo would be Prohibitively Expensive...

 

Also keep in mind that Dilatant Armour and Spider Silk materials are only a theory right now... Everything else seems alright.

 

 

Tank: Slow, but very tough, the M19 Great White has Gyrojet like rounds that explode once they hit the opponent, even in penetration. which is the primary armament. Its armor is titanium with carbon fiber plates, the 40 ton tank is rather slow, 27 miles per hour. The secondary armament is a miture between a flamethrower and a Gatling gun, firing flaming rounds against infantry.

I like the Gyrojet rounds idea, but you never gave a Cannon Size. However note again that Carbon Fiber Armour is another R&D item. Lastly the Flame-Gatling gun... Such a weapon need not exist. You can get a better performance from just a Flame Thrower, or a Gatling Gun with incendiary ammo...

 

 

Aircraft: Pterodactyl: Very fast and bruising, but fragile, it was made for hit and run. The missiles are small thermonuclear warheads. The machine gun is fragile, but good as last resort due to the high kinetic energy. It can go to Mach 2.4 and is highly maneuverable, putting the F-22 Raptors to shame. It came equipped with anti jamming technology, with infrared tracking rather than radar.

This is my biggest problem... No Nukes, not unless you have a $3T Defense Budget and Convince me that you should have Nukes... Regular Missiles would be fine.

 

Lastly not too big a problem but traveling at Mach 2.4 is good, but Super sonic maneuverability is extremely hard. I could see that this jet would have Great After burners to outrun missiles, but with current era tech I could not see it dog fighting at this super speed.

 

 

Navy: Erisus has a rather humble, standard navy. The ships are a balance between strong and fast, with medium armor and weaponry, mostly comprising of the M15 Great White, a cheap, balanced ship.

The Disputed Territoirs of CBUB claim area 3. I don't know much about modern weaponry though....

You can Attack and lay Claim to it when we start playing, but you already have a Territory. Did you want to switch?

 

 

Edit: As for Modern Weaponry, you could just pick out some weapons that you liked from Modern Setting Movies, or real life.

 

For instance My troops Grenade Launcher is the Denel PAW-20 which I saw in District 9. The weapon is currently awaiting orders for development IIRC.

Well, here we go

 

Name: Republic of Opaloco

Leader: Chancellor Arekos

Provinces: Opaloco is divided into two sections, one inside the other. The "Outer Ring" is mostly wild, with farms scattered throughout the large forest that makes up the rest. travel through the forest is dangerous, as the vicious blink dog packs roam through them in the day, though many of the wealthy class of opaloco live their lives on massive estates in this area. the "Inner circle" of Opaloco has been heavily urbanized, and there are really only three area types: city areas, Massive shopping malls/superstores, and heavy industrial areas. the very center of the circle is where the Parliament of Opaloco does its business, in the Grand Hall Of Commerce

 

Resources: the mountains in the southwest of the Outer ring are saturated with Uranium (many scientists speculate that the heavy radiation is what gave the blink dog It's unique abilities, supported by the fact that the blink dog population is most heavy there) and have become the basis for Opaloco Wealth in the foreign market, Being the base supply of many nations. The forests, Though heavily protected by government regulations, supply a healthy supply of hardwood. Fishing is also surprisingly lucrative, and Jocastan, the only real city outside of the inner circle, is on Opaloco's coast.

 

Hazards: Blink Dogs, the teleporting beasts that roam most of Opaloco's outer ring, are the most dangerous hazard of the country. Larger than a husky, territorial, smart, and completely untamable, many a hiker has accidentally wandered into a pack's territory and not come out. Radiation in the southern mountains is also dangerous for the unprepared

 

Military: 8%

 

Squad: Opaloco's military is the BPDF (border patrol & defense forces), and unsurprisingly specializes in city and forest warfare, specifically at night

 

(6)riflemen armed with PSk-23s the equivalent of an M-16. two are designated field medics, and carry proper supplies instead of extra equipment listed below.

(2)combat engineers armed with combat shotguns. One carries an .80 caliber anti-tank, the other a military flamethrower

(1) designated sniper team, consisting of a spotter with a PSk-23, the other with Barret .50 cal. both wear ghillie suits and

carry 2 charges of C4

all unit members (except medics) are equipped with a sidearm, 2 fragmentation grenades, and a blackfire grenade, which is basically an advanced Molotov.

 

Tank: The TX-32 battle tank's original was anti air, though it has proven to also be as extremely effective anti-infantry vehicle also. Smaller and less armored than most tanks, the designer's opted for speed and maneuverability, using off road tires instead of treads. the TX tops out a 70 mph It's main armaments are dual large caliber Gatling mounted on top, and have full 360 degree rotation. the on board computer does most of the aiming, allowing the two man crew to focus on not getting shot. two grenade launchers were added two the sides to augment its anti infantry capabilities, and can be loaded with either heavy duty fragmentation grenades or modified blackfire grenades. these must be fired manually.

 

Aircraft: the AX-82 stealth bomber is the bane of armored units. The large but fast jet can easily reach mach one, and carries very heavy bombing armaments. It carries twelve units PPtx smart bombs, which explode mid-air into multiple fragmentation grenades. it also carries 12 LPK "Devil rockets", mounted on the bottom of the jet, easily capable of demolishing almost any tank or building.

 

Navy: the main military water craft of Opaloco is th NX-42 Carrier. the behemoth of a ship can hold up to 30 AX-82s, has extremely sophisticated sensory equipment, has enough firepower to single-handedly destroy a city, and can take a ridiculous amount of fire itself. They themselves have been compared to small cities. Unfortunately, these monsters are extremely expensive to make, and move decidedly slow. Only about 15 are known to exist, although the number may be more, and the BPDF is always petitioning for more.

Can you guy leave a spot open my friend is planning to join.

Areas 5, 7, and 9 are good and open... but areas 3 and 4 are probably going to see intense battle.

 

So just inform him of this and have him go through all of the signing up process.

 

 

Also as of this writing we have 58 hours left before registration ends. For all those who have yet to apply, you can still just post here to register and then Edit your information later at your convenience. On Sunday I will post to discuss how we will go about fighting this war.

Nations Name: The Armed Republic of Jaeger Panzer

Geography

- The Armed Republic of Jaeger Panzer has three territories within its country, all connected with a sprawling train transportation system and a few small thruways and an intricate system of streets that goes in and in hand with the train system. Each territory is a military territory and as such, the cities located within all of the territories have at least an military base and military productions plants. The boundaries of the three territories overlap as well so communication and transportation within all three territories are manageable and fairly easy.

- The cities themselves are small as 60% of all territories are covered in mountainous terrains with some patches of thick, lush forests. It is usually a warm climate with patches of humidity in the forested territories.

- Iron, Copper, Hard Wood, Oil, Fish.

- Earthquakes and Landslides are a common occurrence. Forest fires are a very rare occurrence due to the humidity of the forest but it does occur occasionally if the weather is too dry.

 

Military

- 15% of the population of the Armed Republic of Jaeger Panzer are in the military as it is somewhat a compulsory draft and whatnot. The soldiers are nonetheless zealous warriors, proud to do their doodie (duty, hehe) for their country.

- 3 Assault: Either equipped with M4 SOPMOD with Masterkey Shotgun or M4 Carbine with Grenade Launcher

2 Snipers: Equiped with Dragunov

2 Demolition Expert: C4, twice the amount of grenades, hand carriedMilkor MGL and one time use shoulder carried

RPG-7

2 Heavy Weapons Expert: Equipped with Minigun with Ammo Pack with enough ammo for extended gun fights and Twelve Gauge Shotgun with Strap. in case the minigun runs out.

1 Radioman/Electronics Expert: Radio backpack with the standard equipment for monitoring enemy lines and capable of hacking computers and such. Carries XM214

 

All wear Kevlar with Interceptor body armor over it, basically double layers of Kevlar. The radioman and Heavy Weapons Expert as well as the Demolitions expert wear a inch thin steel plate between the two Kevlar armors. Heavy Weapons Experts also wear more armor body wise as they're more of a prime target. They all carry M67 grenade. The Assault carry charges for breaking through walls and etc. They all have pistols as well, the CZ 75b.

It has steel encased depleted uranium armor. Paneled so if hit by penetrative rounds, it ejects, protecting the tank. It uses two main rounds. depleted uranium rounds and explosive sabot rounds. It also has six barreled smoke grenade launchers.
