Intelligence:

0 – Impaired. Character’s intelligence is SSGoku level.

Im sure the average Pride demon or Marionette is smarter than that :)

Edit: Also are we aloud to use generic demons like Death scyths,Blades and Abysses?

and if we did create a generic demon would we give it a weaker human form and baisicly DT it into it full blown demon like in the Devil may cry 2 novel? And finally what time period is this? sorry for pointless questions

1) Haven't considered this. I'll get back to you on that one.

2) That would probably be the direction I took it.

3) Undecided at the moment. All I know is it takes place after the series.

Don't worry about questions. The only thing about them is I'm still in the earliest stages of development and so I don't have all the answers right now.

Definitely joining.

Glad to have you.

I mentioned the 4 teams, well here they are.

Devil May Cry RP teams:

-Devil May Cry Inc.

Starting as a small operation, due to a surge of demonic activity over the past few years, Devil May Cry has expanded from a small shop to a massive underground demon fighting operation. Their goal is simple, to destroy every evil demon who threatens the human world. In this quest they have enlisted the help of humans, hybrids, and even some demons with noble hearts.

-

The Rain Organization came into light shortly after the demonic activity become known to the public at large. They work with the government in order to defend the human race from demons. Recently they have been conducting research and performing genetic experiments in order to "make humans the dominate species once more". They employ humans and enhanced humans; anyone with any amount of demon blood is treated with extreme prejudice.

-Order of the Sword

A religious cult, they once worshipped the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda. However after two decadence of Sparda, Dante and Nero, fought against the Order their belief changed. Sanctus was worshipped as a martyr, and their true reveled himself. The order seeks to awaken the true weapon of their god, as well as resurrect Sanctus; in doing so they wish to convert the world to their belief and will exterminate anyone who opposes them. They allow humans, enhanced humans, and hybrids to follow them, but seek to eliminate any pure demon.

-

For years the prince of darkness has been thought to be long since dead. However, in their final battle, Dante only weakened Mundus. Now, years later, the ruler of the demon world has returned. He is amassing an army and preparing to wage war on the human world. Mundus will employ anyone to his cause, but his ultimate goal is to eliminate every creature that isn't a demon.

Now, the question for you all is. How would you guys rather play this? Should all the characters work for Devil May Cry and lead a campaign against Mundus' army, while having to fight the Order and Rain when their goals conflict? Or should I let everyone pick which team they wish to play for and have you each work toward your team's goal?

Depends on how big this becomes.

If a large number of people join, it would make sense to split the players up into the 4 teams, possibly with some sub-GM's working under your instructions, to remove some of the workload for you. That also gives the possibility of having the player characters fight against each other.

However, if a much lower number of people joins, then it would be nonsensical to split the players up, as each 'team' would only have a small number of player characters.

The splitting point, on when the number is high enough to split the characters up is, of course, up to you.

Edit: In my experience though, having a large number of players(the point where it would be 'needed' to split the player characters up) is not really a good thing for an rp, as there tends to be a lot of 'lag' due to different timezones, which can easily cause an rp to die out, as people have a tendency to lose interest when the rp has a 'long' period of inactivity. So it would be better to simply limit the number of players allowed to join, and just keep it to 1 team.

Alright, after the feedback, specifically from Methos, I think I'll keep it to DMC Inc. but I'll allow some people to play villains for the other teams if they want. Sound good?

Sure. Just remember you'll be playing a villain along with your character. But I will allow people to sign up as just villains if they want.
