I have been asked to establish rules. Plus, I've constructed new things that will be added on into the RP, with Josh's permission of course.

RULES:

1. One move per turn. You may not add another technique on top of the one you're using for that turn. However if its something like this:

"Tank, use water gun to fly away, then try to use the water gun to tackle into it."

OOC: this isnt the move tackle, just a normal tackle.

The previous Vine Whip did some damage. As Tank performed his move, the Pansage countered via grabbing Tank with its Vine Whip and suddenly altered his direction to elsewhere: Towards the ground. He'd crash with a devastating impact...

Then its allowed. Some may be allowed depending on it. Some may not be. Its up to the GM's discretion.

2. The same is said for using items in battle. If you use a potion or a revive or any other item, your pokemon does not act for that turn.

3. You may not attack and then switch out a pokemon. If you want to switch out, your pokemon must not have attacked. You then can switch and then proceed to attack with that one.

More can and will be added later.

Mechanics:

Hits & Misses & Criticals.

There is going to be a new rule implemented. All players need to say other Odd or Even, twice. Both can vary. Examples: Odd, Even. Even, Even. Even, Odd. This is to determine whether or not attacks hit or miss, and if its a hit, the second is to determine whether or not its a critical. A Six Faced Die will be rolled thrice, and depending on what the player chose for the second word, such as even, if a 2, 4, and a 2 is rolled, then that move is critical. Should be easily figured out from herein on.

Here's an example below on how one should post.

RandomTrainerPC sent out Bulbasaur. "Use Vine Whip on Squirtle!" Odd, Even.

How Random Encounters Are Determined

JoshM creates a list of pokemons for an area that all players visit. They are different for each area, obviously. An example below can be viewed:

1 or 2=Common

Starly

Rattata

Patrat

Oddish

3 or 4=Uncommon

Magnemite

Votorb

Pansage

Ekans

5 or 6=Rare

Pidgey

Snubbull

Munna

Abra.

First, a die is rolled, and the number rolled determines the section of pokemon you get. Then the die is rolled once more to see what you get from that section. Say you roll a 5, that's rare. Then you roll a 2. That's a Snubull you've encountered!

After the determination for the Pokemon is made, the die is rolled thrice to see whether or not you get a Shiny version of said pokemon. The die must roll the same exact number thrice in order for you to get a Shiny.

Trading:

You may trade pokemons. For those in the same section as the one that is being traded off, it'll take one pokemon. However, for those next above, it'll take an extra pokemon to get that one. And the Pokemon being offered is generated at random.

Shinys can be traded for another Shiny, except you would need another normal pokemon to go with that one to receive said Shiny in trade.

Status Attacks:

Poison:

If an attack has the Poison status in it, the percentage of it succeeding is taken into account via rolling a ten face die. It does tick damage per turn.

Burn:

If an attack has the Burn status in it, the percentage of it succeeding is taken into account via rolling a ten face die. It does tick damage per turn.

Confusion:

If an attack has the Confusion status in it, the percentage of it succeeding is taken into account via rolling a 10 face die. If it succeeds, then it falls to the afflicted to utilize the Odd or Even method one time, to see if they can attack or if they injure themselves and lose a turn.

Paralysis:

Attacks that primarily utilizes Paralysis as the attack itself must succeed via Odd or Even method in order to hit. For those attacks that inflict damage and carry the added effect of Paralysis, the percentage of it being inflicted is taken into account via rolling a ten face die.

I've noticed as of late that people are beginning to rely on Paralysis as the easy way to win their battles in this RP. I've decided to change this up to make it fair. For one, those utilizing this status attack will attack last in the round. Another is that the afflicted can use the Odd or Even method to see if they can attack the turn they're paralyzed or not. Lastly, the turns that the Paralysis, if successful, takes will be decided by 1d3. This is to give the other team a playing chance.

Freezing:

If an attack has the Freezing status in it, the percentage of it succeeding is taken into account via rolling a ten face die. It immobilizes the afflicted for turns that are to be decided by 1d3. Fire attacks can thaw this, obviously, and eliminate the immobilization altogether.
