In no definate order:

1: Suspiria

2: An American Werewolf in London

3: Night of the Living Dead

4: Let the Right One In

5: Alien

1. Mobile Home Massacre
2. Out Of The Dark
3. Army Of Darkness
4. Ju-On
5. Infection

Why yes, my list is made up of B-movies and Japanese horror flicks.

On a more serious note
1. Ju-On (the only horror movie that made me jump, although my cousin played a huge part in that)
2. Jaws (that is somewhat horror, right? Still a good movie)
3. Infection
4. The Ruins (I enjoyed it. Maybe not the best movie, but I enjoyed it)
5. Alien

1) The Ring
2) The Sixth Sense
3) The Others
4) Poltergeist
5) 28 Days Later

Honorable mentions: Jeepers Creepers, A Nightmare on Elm Street, John Carpenter's The Thing, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) and Tales from the Hood

That's right...no Friday the Thirteenth or Halloween. I never thought those movies were scary...even though Jason and Michael are total badasses :)

Crap...I forgot Scream. The entire trilogy is solid gold. Just put it at the top of my list and move everything else down one :)

4. The Ruins (I enjoyed it. Maybe not the best movie, but I enjoyed it)

Agreed, I had read some terrible reviews but thought I'd give it a chance anyway. Thought it was brilliant!

Top 5 in no particular order

- Freddy Vs Jason (ok, it's terrible, but it's got Freddy AND Jason!!!)
- Cube (original and suspenseful)
- The Mist (best ending ever)
- Hellraiser (freaked me out when I first saw it)
- Child's Play (Chucky, one of the best bad guys in history I reckon. How he didn't make it into Wizard's top 100 villains I will ever know)

(1). Halloween - This was the movie the made slasher movies a huge sucess.

(2). Psycho - Was basically the first slasher movie.

(3). Friday the 13th - He became horror's icon.

(4). The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - This was probably one of the most gruesome movies of it's time.

(5). The Exorcist - That movie's just freaky.

IMHO, anybody who ranks slasher movies (which sell on gore) over classics like Exorcist and the Sixth Sense does not appreciate true horror.
