Was there ever a set decision on what powers would be like in the new FPl?

there are no powers in the new FPL. It takes place in an insane assylum, and all the inmates think they're supervillains.

Is that a "no" then?

Stuff have been bounced around, but as far as I know, no system has been worked out in detail as yet. But that's just me, I'm way out of the loop. Then again, I figure serge isn't particularly focusing on the FPL right now.

The Powers question has always baffled me, but I guess some people view it as integral to character creation.
In my opinion, creating your character should involve actually creating a character first, and worrying about how to properly express their abilities in any given power system much, much later. Stan Lee created Spiderman as a concept of a teenager learning to cope with responsibility. He didn't sit down and hash out his comparative intelligence, strength, and agility, and pine over whether or not he should give him a ranged attack.
A Powers system will, eventually, give us a way to create character sheets so we can have CBUB style pissing contests, which are admittedly fun. Don't let the lack of a current system keep you from really using the FPL, though.
EDIT: Just realized it was OMR asking the question. Heh. Guess I get preachy at times. Oh well, I'll leave it up for all the newbs who were about to ask the same question.

So wait, if we don't have a list of powers, we get to actually THINK of stuff to write!? And we actually get to be creative!?
