This had to be a topic eventually. Who is the best CBUB writer you've ever seen: past or present? Don't say yourself and don't beg for someone to say you...okay...go for it.

My list in no particular order
1. Every admin that ever participated in CBUB back in the day.
2. Caesar Speaks (Epic)
3. Acosta Ramirez (I think that's how you spell it.)
4. Fenris Wolf (Doesn't get a lot of post, because he batters you with obsure characters. His grammar alone pwns most.)
5. Granobulax (His King Kong matches were always more enjoyable than anything during his time...well, anything but my matches.)

notable mentions

6. Rakai (Mostly just on his Predator matches...I learn more about Predators in his matches than I do the movies)
7. Bloody Freak (Up and Coming)
8. Culwych (Up and Coming)
9. Marvel Man (bad name, not bad writing)

There may be more, but my mind wanders...ooh Deadliest warrior marathon!

9. Marvel Man

Yes! My begging worked!

My own list
1. Any Admin- I'm not just saying that because they're choosing Mods. They're actually that good.

2. Caesar Speaks- The man's a Legend.

3. Acosta Ramirez (I remeber him having another name. Juan? Pablo?)- The guy can write. His use of cartoon characters just make him more entertaining.

4. Boston_Celtic- Only seen him write a few fights, but all were very cool. Great use of Marvel.

5. Granobulax/Treacherous- Both very good writers. Haven't seen much of Grano, but Treach's Tournament was a great work of literature.

Noteable Mentions:

6. Fenris Wolf- Only seen him write once. Still, it was a very good fight.

7. Culwych- Great stories. Great fights. Just great.

8. MarvelFan15- Needs to write more. Talented.

9. RakaiThwei- No one knows the Predators better. Excellent crossovers with other franchises.

10. Artemis Entrei- Good writer. Plenty of memorable arcs.

I like the Admins matches. DRX and I think, Landon have good ones. The Bane vs. Pikachu (I think) was a goodie. Anyone that doesn't have the run of the mill "They fight!" match. Something like a race on their hands, a poker match, a fight with forks is always nice. Other than that, I don't know. Augustus Caesar is overly good. That's all. The rest are horrible. Especially treacherous. His matches are horrible. My eyes bleed when I read them.

Caesar Speaks' matches are very long and very well written, granted. That doesn't always make for an interesting or "favorite" kind of writing.

Culwych, from what I've read, makes very interesting, concise, and competitive matches that I enjoy reading.

The FPL is a true judge of writing, IMHO. see, with the CBUB, all you need is knowledge of the characters, and you become a competent writer. The FPL takes actual creativity.

Why do you think the Admins are at the top of every list? However, the question is not "Who is the best writer", but "Who is the best CBUB writer?". It changes it up a bit.

I'm not exactly sure as to the exact order or anything, but here are a few writers who I think deserve some recognition:

Admins
Caesar Speaks!
acosta perez jose ramiro
Fenris Wolf
Hamboy
FTANG_Commando
Jaretha
Snowzinger
Treacherous (Hate the guy though)
Granobulax

#19 Culwych

Am honestly honoured that anyone considers me in their top ten or even 20 for that matter... and being compared to Ceasar is like getting to wear a medal.

Quite a few people out there that are excellent writers (in no particular order):

MarvelMan, my 'rival' on Haven, can't wait for next round.
MarvelFan and Bloody Freak, you both do such good work, just not often enough!
KevinDWolf and Fenris, nice setups and always very very interesting match ups (Fenris should post more).
Nd5 (nd4, nicker), great enthusiasm and amazing improvement
Caesar, I kneel. The man's detailed descriptions are phenomenal
Rakai, interesting and knowledgeable
Artemis, lovely fights and concepts, doubly so because its often the more obscure characters
Treacherous, not sure if people are joking or not in previous comments about hating him, but a good guy and a good writer.
Little_foot, I remember a few excellent matches but haven't seen him in a while
Cosmic Deadpool, funny matches dude!
Diskyr, good ideas and good writing, though unnecessary swearing

I'm sure there are plenty that I'm forgetting and will add to this post as I go along. I think mainly you can tell the difference between those that enjoy writing and those that don't.
