Treach, I'm going to assume you still don't mind harsh critisism. This is just on the former picture, which is, as usual, better than I could do, of course. But that doesn't mean it's above critisism. (Liefeld draws better than I do too, y'know).

First, why do you put things in shadow that are nine inches away from something that is in light. When it's part of the same person. I understand it's probably just to avoid more mistakes or just laziness, but still, LIGHT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.

So I get that the guy in the picture is shedding what we thought was skin to reveal he's a muthafukkin' robot or whatever, but is he losing his fingers too? Because there is no way his ring and pinkie fingers are connected to his hand. Why does he still have skin on his fingers anyway?

And what is he doing with that gun? He's not dropping it, because it's an inch away from his fingers. He's not throwing it, because there are no lines to indicate as such and the handle is still towards his hand. I can only assume he's summoning it to his hand through a window or something, which is why we're seeing it through the broken glass. But this leads to an abyss of all kinds of other questions. Namely, if the gun's gone through the glass in a straight line, the hole's center is in the completely wrong place. In fact, straight to his hand, it would be coming through past the right panel border, which we can assume doesn't even have glass there. If it did go through the glass in the center, the angle the gun's at means he raised it above the ground, broke it through the middle, then slid it around to enter his hand handle-first. Before the glass hit the ground. And while we're at it, what the hell is a pane of glass doing on the floor, standing up, anyway? Or ankle-height, anyway. The two characters' placement is fortunatly consistant enough that I can imagine a floor there, but that is no normal window.

And finally, I'm sure you expected this, what the hell is on her head?

@ Marvel Man - You don't have to give sympathy? We're all still alive and happy. I'm actually trying to talk one of the writers into joining the FPL. He signed into the old forum a while back, but never commented. I think he went by Psychofeast. Also, I'm used to Exal's critique's. He made me redraw Miss Doe's picture like 30x's. He's evil.

@ Sir Exal - Let me explain the picture. I never really looked at it like you did. I see where you are coming from, but you got it wrong. It was a bank robbery. The girl was a hostage and the guy (that was holding the gun) was the bank robber. A sniper shot him in the head. He was standing in front of a window and POW! His skin isn't coming off and he's not turning into some kind of robot or something? He is flailing backwards and dropped the gun. The girl is screaming and ducking. The gun fell from his hand.

Now as for technicality of the picture, I make no excuse. I did that picture many years back. MANY. I don't even know what I was thinking back then. Now, for anybody who thinks Exal's being harsh...no he's not. He's would make a great art professor. He knows I'm used to critique's such as that. He has a good eye.

Okay, that explains a bit. The perspective is still a bit odd (the bullet came from a sniper on the ground, evidentally), but it explains things. So is that stuff on his midriff just a weird t-shirt or something?

And still, is that her hair heavily gelled into a cone or what?

The stuff on his midriff was just a little belly hair that the inker got carried away with. The girls hair was my attempt at an anime style book. Don't ask. I tried.

I see you posted one of my pics up there treach. Thanks. I need to get back to drawing myself but won't have the time for at least another year. Plus, I've got to get Photobucket to fix up my art as you did to my pic.

It wasn't traced. I looked at the picture and drew it. Treacherous already knows I draw while needing to look at other pics. He's a better artist than I am by far because he can draw without the need to look at objects and people.

Please, half the drawings I did were from source material. Any good artist worth his salt uses source material. Alex Ross uses source material. The demon girl I drew for Geomease on page 1 is a pose I took from Mai Shiranui's CBUB pic.

You should post it.

Anyways, Treach, you've inspired me to pick up the pen & pencil. I'll post a few works here (with your permission).

Okay, but no criticism. I want to stay in my below-mediocre level. :D

Also, these are more colored doodles than actual drawings. I just drew what came naturally.
Okay, time to post.

I have a bunch of bad drawings from when I was younger, but I lack the courage to post them on the Internet.

So instead, I'll post two more recent ones (I'll post more later. I'm tired & it's late).

This one's when I tried to copy the style of a certain artist (who drew the same picture, except better)

And I call this one, "The Burger & the Man who was Hungry".
