My favorite musicians of all time? This is fairly easy because I do in fact have the greatest taste in music of all time. So here they are. The greatest (not in any order)

Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
AC/DC
ZZ Top
The Who
Nirvana
Rush
Guns n Roses
Deep Purple
and Iron Maiden

But also a huge thumbs up for:

Jethro Tull
Bachman Turner Overdrive
Billy Squire
Chuck Berry
Boston
The Doors
Rolling Stones
Elvis Presley
Cream
Def Leppard
Direstraits
The Kinks
and many more.

My favorite live performances? Either Aerosmith and Guns n Roses playing paris in 92, AC/DC playing donnington hall in 91, or Slash, Joe Perry and Queen preforming Tie Your Mother Down.

Goblin just came out. Is no one else following Tyler the Creator. This Avant-Grade (maybe) rapper just dropped another amazing album.

A band called electric cheese was the first band I saw in concert. They were good but that didn't make me a die hard fan.

First gig I ever went to was a big arena gig with Joan Jet, Motorhead and Alice Cooper.

I kinda jumped in at the deep end there.

First real concert I ever went to was The Raconteurs and Radiohead at Lolla. I do it big.

The Raconteurs made me orgasm, I hated Radiohead because I hadn't listened to a lot of their music and my back hurt the whole time and weed smells like crap. But that's Lolla for you.

First concert I ever went to was David Byrne at the Opera House in Toronto. This would have been back in the late 80s. Amazing show by an incredible performer at a fantastic venue.

Biggest concert I ever went to was easily Eden Music Fest, which was an incredible experience - especially as I didn't drink or do drugs at that point. We walked onto the grounds and literally 3 minutes later some guy was trying to sell us shrooms. Highlight moment - being 3 rows back from the stage with Tragically Hip playing and getting kicked really hard in the back of the head by a crowd surfer. Great music, great atmosphere.

Best live shows I've ever been to have been Shonen Knife though, hands down. I've seen them I think four times now and every single time they blow me away. I know I'm a creepy SK fanboy but honestly, anyone who has only heard their recorded stuff absolutely must see them live - totally different experience. Plus their new bassist is bangably delicious.

For Soberguy, I heard a Tragically Hip song on a Chicago radio station last night. The DJ is actually traveling to some place in Canada just to see Tragically Hip.

First live concert I went to was when my parents dragged me to see Alan Jackson with them.

I still suffer from PTSD to this day.

Faith No More are awesome. Mike Patton is some kind of god.

Discuss.
