Hey Surfer bro, by the by, trust me on this, if you are even slightly into learning it (I mean looking to it as something you can incorporate into your career option), then do it. You will be glad you did. I don't need to tell you that someone who knows this subject is a fit almost anywhere. That is if you didn't intend that bit about wanting to learn it as sarcasm.

Fox, at some point we should discuss some ideas, so there can be an alternative that will let the CBUB survive.

Also surfer, something you and other liberal sheeple should consider,

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery

Aye...Are you one of those people who thinks Socialism is synonymous with communism???? Is Social security, medicare, medicaid, WIC, Section 8 housing, taxes that pay for a police, fire, municipal services not forms of Socialism??? Are those failures?

Without gov't(social programs), there's be no consumer protections.

Without public roads, police, hospitals, SS or medicare, we'd essentially go backwards and be a lawless country.

Do you not know some European nations(Germany) have  mixed economies(Socialism+Capitalism)???

So I don't understand how it creates misery. Please stop watching listening to Right wing propaganda.

Arguing economics? Really?
If you listen really closely, you can hear me slamming my own head through some drywall.

I'm a history major, so I have to take Intro Economics. Don't have time for much else going into senior year and I hate math, but I do like knowing enough to argue how VCM is dumb.

Then Surfer bro, I envy you. The beginning of the course beginning with Micro, than Macro, and onward, is one hell of an enlightening ride. You will even enjoy the assignments. Wish you good journey on it.

To me, Socialism and Communism mean totalitarian rule.  It was a great day for the world when the Soviet Union fell.  Look how quickly they took to the free market system.

Well regardless, I would like to talk to serge about some of my ideas. See if he will consider them. I have had a lot of fun here. There is no other site like this on the internet.

VCM, I'd like to personally thank you for showing how incredibly stupid you are. I didn't even have to drag it out of you, you just kind of outright admitted it. So thanks.

Did you even fully try to read and understand my post?

Socialism=/=Communism. Germany during WW2 was a socialist state, yet they hated communism with a passion and wanted to stop the spread of communism. That was one reason why the Axies was formed.

People like you keep saying Socialism=Communism but can never explain why *uncreative* Germany(Socialist) hated the Soviet Union(Communist). Stop with the ignorance already. It seems that its only Americans who think socialism is evil

I guess you think social security is evil too..

I think we are treading gray areas. VCM needs to verify his statement and put it in an order so that his personal thoughts can reflect what he is trying to say.

Per Psychology 101, there are numerous bodies of organizations and free thinking folks who think 'throwing it to the open' is a good means to cause disorder and chaos in any societal platform. Now that may be a far fetched statement, but psychology 101 agrees with it.

I think Surfer bro will find out that he will probably have to take psychology as well which will greatly involve business ethic, and 'under the radar practices' that are acceptable by the system, in that they can not be determined as an intentional twisting of the rules, but are there simply due to the rules not being stated firmly enough.

I just cited an example, and tried to say that that complication also stemmed increasingly from an economic and soceital getup that was designed per the socialism thought and practice. One of the pitfalls was the 'consumer targets' that were now streamed through a sophisiticated indirect campaign to both solicit the USA in the times during and following the war, and at the same time, brain wash the majority of the masses to get to buy almost everything solicited during that period.

I think, if at all, VCM is hinting at the 'deep down' effects of a carry away socialism fueled section of an economy or a socialist elite, he is only PARTIALLY RIGHT, and specifically targeted to a minority portion of the socio-economic getup.

No matter which way his intention may tilt, it will still be partially right, as on record, socialism is the most successful practice adopted increasingly bu 'successful and developing nations'. True there are pitfalls in every thing human, but the advantages far outhsine the flaws.

Sorry to have bored, but some times, the social/economic talk can make a person get caried away.
