He didn't really breathe in space, just survived in vacuum for 24 seconds. It was a training exercise.

Huh. Was he wearing some souped up armor or something or just his normal batsuit?

Basically, Batman wins a relatively tough fight.

Just because Batman was testing himself in the vacuums of space doesn't mean he wins this fight. He was just testing himself and Martian Manhunter pulled him out, because he said Batman wouldn't have survived much longer.

That's not the reason he wins, just all the other reasons posted.

Okay, Punisher takes out DD Wolverine and Spidey in 2 pages. How does he do this?

1) Wolverine is too stupid to see that he's being set-up and DD and Spiderman choose not to warn him.
2) Spiderman is too stupid to stick with DD and his Spider-sense fails to warn him of the danger.
3) Daredevil is too stupid to break his fall with both arms, despite the fact that he;s been in this situation dozens of times before.

Castle could probably have beaten any one of these guys after a difficult fight (though he would lost more often than win, at least to Wolverine and Spiderman.) Beating all three this easily requires a huge amount of out of character stupidity.

I don't know how fast Burnout was, but lat's take Punisher's Mach 2 statement literally. That's just over 47 times as fast as Usain Bolt. She's also moving 60% faster than castle's bullets. The writer didn't put enough thought into this. He only allowed for how difficult it is to hit a speeding target and didn't think about how easy it is for Burnout to dodge a bullet that, from her perspective. is moving about like a slow-pitch softball. Unless Punisher's bullets are much faster than normal bullets, this one it also PIS.

As for shooting both of Spider Man's webshooters... I remember that issue. I don't have any issue with the idea that Punisher is accurate enough to do this, but he does it awfully quickly. Spidey is in mid air in this scene, meaning he can't dodge, but he could move his hands out of the path of the shots. The fact that Punisher is able to get off 2 shots before Spider-man can move his hands. This would only be possible if Punisher's reflexes were much faster than Spidey's.

Not only that, but Marvel Handbook states that Spider-man's reflex time is enhanced to the point where he really can dodge a bullet fired at point blank range. He is much faster than it's humanly possible to be because of his superpowers.

So, to shoot off both of his webshooters, not only does Punisher have to have faster reflexes than Spidey, he also needs to be shooting bullets that are much faster than normal bullets.

It's either that or PIS.

Pretty much my thoughts. It did demonstrate good prep from Punisher, but was still extremely contrived.

Burnout was running past Punisher, trying to avoid his aim. If Castle had a bead on Batman, Batman is fast enough to dodge the bullets after it's fired. Yes, that's not humanly possible, but it's a comic. And Batman has done so before.

Well, Punisher is able to fire bullets that can;t be dodged, even with super speed. Yes, that's not human;y possible, but it's a comic. And Punisher has done so before.

(This is where these conversations go when logic is abandoned :D )

Well, if that scene of Spiderman, Daredevil and Wolverine was Garth Ennis, which I'm almost sure it was, Garth really hates the cape and cowl types. He's expressed this many times. He goes out of his way to make them look horrible whenever they face Punisher. Another writer acknowledged this when Ennis did the fight scene with Punisher and Wolverine, where Punisher brutalizes Wolverine. I can't remember the writer, but he did a new fight where Wolverine returns the favor and beats the bloody tar out of Punisher. So, sometimes writers can be pricks.

I agree 100% about writers sometimes being pricks or fanboys...Not trying to upset X-fans, but X-writers are KNOWN for doing this type of stuff. Anyone who is not a X-Men or mutant that appears in X-men comics are written badly.

Batman has a alot of stuff that could be considered PIS as well on the same level of what Punisher did above and a lot of people accept his. So here we have to except the fact Punisher can beat Daredevil along with Wolverine and Spiderman in 2 pages. Punisher has beaten Daredevil and Wolverine in one on one battles. Also in that comic Punisher had prep against those three which is what people are forgetting. He also has plenty of history with all of 3 of them.

As far as X-Men writers making anyone that is not a mutant look bad. Writers on Avenger comics do the same thing with other characters in vice versa. Marvel also likes to bitch out there popular characters sometimes. All of this is due to the fact a lot of Marvel writers have there own opinion on characters so they go about certain things different and sometimes may not be consistent with the writer before them. I noticed this years ago.

Garth remembers me of Frank Miller. Frank Miller hates those powerful type of heroes. Both are like opposites of each other in that regard.

well if you want to take that punisher feat into account, how about when Batman defeated Grundy with a single kick and lady shiva in seconds in superman/batman public enemies

Which turns out to be Gorilla Grodd. They were mind controlled. So Shiva being mind controlled is a high possibility.
