If you could bring a superhero from either the mainstream Marvel or DC universe, who would it be and why?

1) if they weren't constrained by our laws of physics etc. (meaning they, their powers and possibly their technology, follow the same rules as they do in their native universe.)
2) if they were constrained by our laws of physics etc.

Most current versions for everyone.

BATMAN.

What is this physics you speak of - Batman defies Physics. KICK THAT GHOST

Real Reason Why: Actually make that Batman One Million - he'd single handily eliminate crime and basically keep the world a safer place?

I know, his thing was a prison world-ish but imagine what if he applied it here... prosperity, elimination of crime, etc, etc...

Maybe I'm being way too optimistic.

Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Bruce Banner or Hank Pym.

ALL THE INVENTIONS!

Ok maybe not Banner...don't want the rampaging monster to break Harlem.

Any of the 3 would be nice.

Nah - do what the Indestructible Hulk series is doing - anytime Banner needs to relieve stress, send him somewhere where there's an issue that the Hulk could handle - reduce causalities on our part :P

Banner would be fantastic, he's been introducing new technology weekly, i.e. One that eliminates cancer and another that destroys waterborne diseases in five years... another that uses Gamma Radiation for fracking precious gases without harming the environment (Until Tony made it explode via proxy of Hulk going mad due to Tony interfering...).

Superman- He's hardwired to always do good, and there's no kryptonite here.

Seems like a good idea to me

I didn't post anything about choosing villains for a reason, so no, you can't choose a villain.

Tony was improving it. And it was Banner's fault, he wanted Tony to justify him Hulking out and beating the shit out of Tony (which didn't happen). Because he's jealous of Stark.

Tony was improving it. And it was Banner's fault, he wanted Tony to justify him Hulking out and beating the shit out of Tony (which didn't happen). Because he's jealous of Stark.

Except Banner had stated it wasn't completed, that he'd improve it later, and he didn't want Tony to improve it - in a way, it was an insult to Banner for Tony to arbitrarily begin improving Banner's design on the spot. So if anything, it's both parties' faults, more so Tony's.

Aside from that, the Jealousy remark, Banner got one on Stark and even Stark acknowledges it afterwards though via his expression and a hilarious comment - "You're still rich." This was after the gamma fracker's explosion. So while there may be some jealousy, Banner still can hold his own - he simply wants to be recognized and it's very possible that it will happen here, which Banner rightly deserves.

Probably someone with morals and matter manipulating powers so they could solve world hunger... maybe like Atom Eve, only on a larger scale.

The Silver Surfer or Superman because of the combination of morals and great power.

Dr Manhatten. Once he goes through the whole miracle spiel he can do untold good. Either with or without vaporising cities. May need Malin Ackerman to convince him.

Eventually he'd lose interest in us and leave.

Superman is an obvious choice. I might go for S.H.I.E.L.D. led by Nick Fury. Fury may seem clandestine, gritty and dark, but he's out for the greater good. Plus his organization can span the entire globe. Someone like Superman, no matter how powerful, is still one man. Fury and the gang are a global organization. As long as Fury is alive and in charge, they would be the strongest covert organization around. Anybody else controls S.H.I.E.L.D and the world is doomed.

He could still probably fix damn near all of our problems before leaving. Unlimited cosmic power can do a lot in only a short amount of time.

Shield is still just a human organisation vulnerable to buerocracy, corruption and all other obstacles humans face in makin a difference. And Fury is only a man eventually he'll be killed or forced to retire.
