So now he's got a cool new armor, although we haven't really seen any considerable feats from it other than the fact we know it's considerably stronger than the Bleeding Edge armor (upgraded villains Tony had trouble taking on were dealt with effortlessly, multiple at a time, by this new armor). So what do you guys think the specs might be? Cooler anti-matter bullets? Even more energy generation? We see that Tony is now able to use micro-repuslors in the air (as part of Stark Enterprises swarm initiatives) as weapons to decimate large scale, powerful entities (such as the extremely powerful entities in Mandarin's rings). What more do you think we'll see, especially as we move in to this Marvel NOW crap and we get a new writer on Iron Man (which I'm skeptical of)?

More powerful than Bleeding Edge? Wow. Tony's fast gaining levels in power.

OP'D MAN OP'D.

BETTER NERF VLAD.

Wait, this isn't LoL, no one will catch the reference.

Meh.

Edit: That aside, we're going to see Tony being able to take on higher end cosmic entities before with more probable success than before - that's pretty much the rate Marvel's been going at I've noticed but could just be me.

It's cooler but imho unnecessary.

I think he's getting a little overboard on power levels. Bleeding-Edge Iron Man was plenty of power... now, he's being over-done.

Dark matter generation? Singularity cannon? Supernova machine gun? Gamma ray burst beam? I think it's smart to stop just short of destroying the universe, so all these theorhetical weapons are plausible.

I just find it hard to imagine for even a comic book. That with Earth based tech he develops a suit strong enough to take on Thor and the likes. Its why I never read Iron Man. At least and alien or some other back stories are plausible. Tony creates all this tech, with so much power, yet the result will be the bad guys become stronger. Its no different than DC making Supes capable of lifting the Earth for 5 days straight.

It kind of is. No amount of computer hacking/viruses can stop Supes. The same is not true for Iron Man.

Also, he's apparently joining the Guardians of the Galaxy so he's going to be fighting cosmic level guys now, so he needs a bit if upgrading.

Yeah, I just read that. Apparently Tony is struck with the adventuring spirit. Says he needs to go into space, find new ideas. Could be cool, but seems too much like a promotional tool for the new movie. It looks like they're trying to piggyback Iron Man's newfound popularity to generate hype with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Since when did they team up with the Avengers anyway?

His new armor is basically the armor in the first post repurposed (so it's even more powerful than I initially thought) with-- a different color scheme? Black and Gold? The new look kind of sucks. It's more simple, it looks like they're trying to make the armor look more like movie Iron Man's armor. In fact, all of the new Marvel Now stuff seems towards be moving all of the main characters to the movie verse.

There is nothing to suggest Tony will have armpur capably of taking on Galactic level threats. There are members on the team far below Ironman. Just because he joins the team does not mean he gets a futher power boost. He is capable of hanging with the team in armor less then Extremis/Bleeding edge.

Don't worry, just give it time. He'll get there.

I mean, look at Superman; he didn't start off hurling moons and sneezing out stars... but look at him now. Look at him now.

He'll blend in with space?
