Think this may have been done before but it's been awhile.

What was your favorite animated movie or movies when you were growing up?

My top five were:

1. The Lion King Saw it five times in theatre

2. All dogs go to heaven Even though the Hell scene scared me

3. Batman Mask of the Phantasm Kinda scared me too but it was my first movie I ever saw

4. Robin Hood I always pictured him as a fox for the longest time.

5.Balto I just liked the story

I will do my top 5 as well.

1. Lion King- A classic and the best in my book.
2. Aladdin- A fun movie to watch thats another classic.
3. All Dogs go to heaven- This is why a dog is man's best friend. Loved this movie.
4. Batman Mask of Phantasm- This is probably still the best superhero animated movie made.
5. Toy Story

The Batman Superman movie: My first movie that my parents bought
Toy Story 2: One of my favorites that I had since I was 4
Veggie Tales: Ummmmm... I was born in Kansas... LARRY BOY!
I doubt this counts but Star Wars episode 1: I was a Jar Jar Binks fan
If the last one doesn't count. Monsters Inc.: I looked in my closet 3 times that night.
and finally Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker: Game was bad movie was good.

It was a different time. Men were men. Women were icky. I was 3 and a half years old and I lived a sheltered life. Star Wars was the only thing I had for a long time.

Heh.

Damn, there were just too many good movies growing up.

Oliver and Company, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Rescuers Down Under, An American Tail: Feivel Goes West, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pinocchio, We're back! A Dinosaur's Story, Lion King, Balto, A Goofy Movie, Pocahontas, Beavis and Butt-head Do America, Anastasia, Cats Don't Dance, Hercules, Antz, A Bug's Life, Mulan, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, Doug's 1st movie, The Iron Giant, The Emperor's New Groove, An Extremely Goofy Movie, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Trying to pick just five out of all those... Merc, you are a horrible, horrible person. :P

Eh. I did like Finding Nemo. My list there encompassed years 1-13 of my life. Which is why Nemo got left out. The Land Before Time, and Aristocats should be on it, though... Maybe they didn't originally come out when I was a kid? Didn't see them on the Wikipedia list I used, anyways.

:P Never said you had to put a limit on it, I just limited myself to five.

That being said I should also throw in

The great mouse detective and Titan AE

You know, you guys don't really have to limit your lists of animated films to those made in the U.S.A. There are plenty of good animated films that were made overseas. There's a part of me that always wanted to see Princess Mononoko, for instance.

Here's a brief list of my favorites, though, in no particular order and may be subject to change. Admittedly, I didn't have any foreign films in mind.

Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Pinocchio
Beauty and the Beast (1991 Disney)
Sleeping Beauty
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (if blended animated/live action films are allowed)
The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie (if compilation films are allowed)
Bambi
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
The Little Mermaid
The Secret of NIMH

Heh. And damn, I either read that list too quick, or those weren't on it, either. :(

Heh. I didn't get into anime 'till I started watching DBZ. I was 11 then. I'm not sure if I'd seen any movies yet or not, by that time. As I said, I did years 1-13, for my list. Otherwise, I'm sure there would be some on there.

ParaNorman. One Hundred percent the best animated movie I've ever seen. It was so good all over.
