Salem hated flying for work, though he had to do it often. Why because Frank hated flying and never failed to remind them repeatedly, every flight, without fail. And at some point he figured out that they wouldn't actually throw him out of the plane if he didn't shut up as they claimed.

Frank was that kind of friend you often don't remember why you voluntarily spend time with, especially after thirty years. When the four of them were human they were in high school and none of them were exactly social but being turned had joined them at the hip.

It began with Salem's cousin Yuri, a soviet defector, who just appeared on his doorstep one day saying he had been given a gift and had come to share it with a much more fun nation, starting with family. They had jumped at the chance, although it had caused tensions between Salem and his immigrant family. They still barely talked.

After getting off the plane they would have to run across miles of frozen wasteland to get to the logging camp. After that strategy was simple: Follow vampires scent to layer, cause them to scatter, divide and conquer, use size and power to clean house. They would have preferred to do this in daylight but the area was going through a month long period of night time. But what plan ever survives first contact.

Frank: Are we there yet?
Devon: No.
Frank: Are we there yet?
Devon: No!
Frank: Are we there yet?
Devon: NO !!!
Frank: Are we...
Devon: Frank do you see any signs of human civilisation that would indicate that we are there yet?
Frank: No.
Devon: Then shut it!
Salem: (wait for it, wait for it)
Frank: Are we there yet?
Devon: God damn it Frank, your'e damn near fifty how are you still this annoying?
Frank: I don't know.
Juaquine: Actually that raises an interesting question on how we as immortals age mentally. In fact...
Salem: Good lord, are we there yet?
Devon: Almost!!!

Upon reaching the camp the smell of death was strong. It looked like it had been that way long before any vampires came.
But now they were coming back.
Salem: Guys we've got company moving in fast.

From the icy wilderness nine vampires came chargeing. Upon seeing the pack they sprang at their natural enemies without hesitation. The pack could do nothing but dig in and fight.

Salem bounded forward and caught two of the vamps in his claws. They clawed back at him and he took it while swiftly ripping their throats out.
Frank lept over an oncoming opponent and slashed through his neck, taking his head off, caught it and chucked it at the others.
Devon grabbed another in a headlock and tore his lower jaw off. Two more jumped on his back. A second later Juaquine tackled the three to the ground. Regaining his footing Devon punched through the chest of one, pulverising his heart while Juaqine chrushed the skull of the other in his jaws.

They saw Salem ripping the arms out of another and following up with his head while Frank was grappleing with a particularly big one. The blood sucker sank his teeth into Frank's eye and tore it out. Frank swiped it across the face and drew back as his pack mates came to his aid. Juaquine slashed open the vampires guts and struck the back of his kneecap to double him over while Devon struck his claws through the back of his head and pulled his skull apart.

Meanwhile Salem chased after the last retreating vampire. With a few quick strides he caught up with him, severed his spine with a massive blow and tore up breaking the parasite in half.
He turned to the others and asked, "Did those things look scared to you guys."
Devon: You mean scared of us. They just seemed pissed. Now they just seem ashy.
Salem: I mean right before they tried to kill us. It looked like they were panicking and running from something.
Juaquine: That would mean there is something out here scarier than vampires.
Salem: Which is why we should probably see what that is before we tell other shady employer guy its safe to start back up.
Devon: (Meant to be a groan but came out a snarl) We better get a commission for this.
Frank: Guys Still waiting for my eye to grow back, can we wait a god damned minite.
Devon: Oh walk it off you panzy thats hardly the worst hit you've taken on a job.
Salem: Yeah that would be the time we were impregnated by fallac shaped aliens. Worst weekend of my life and I'm counting the one where my parents left me with my uncle Vladimir, then I was only violated the once.
Frank: Ooookayy lets go.

They followed the scent of the vampires to water where they saw the burning remnants of a boat. The snow was decorated with blood and ash.
Salem: Something blew the boat and targeted them as they came ashore.
Devon: Something with fire power.

As the pack surveyed the the scene of a previous hunt they were unaware they were being watched.
The leader of the hunt, a seasoned veteran known to his people as Theirax viewed the massive creatures with curiosity. The way they responded to each others growls suggested an advanced form of communication not mormally seen in beasts of feral nature.
He had heard of creatures such as these from other hunters. It was said they had strength comparable to hunters and nigh endless capacity to heal from wounds.
He signalled to his two companions both young and inexperienced that they had new game.

The wolves scattered as fire from plasma castors and smart disks bombarded them. This was meant to seperate them. Divide and conquer. Lazer cages sprung up trapping the wolves.
Theirax emerged from his cloaking device and observed his prey. The two larger beasts were on their own while the two smaller ones were trapped together.

Salem saw Devon in one cage, Frank and Juaquine in another. He had heard of beings like this before from other creatures of the night who had barely escaped with their lives. The beast that makes trophies of men. Ruthless, relentless game- hunters from a world where the hunt was everything. The most lethal race in the known universe. "Oh shit."

Theirax chose the largest beast for himself, the one the others seemed to follow. This would be hand-to-hand. No projectiles.
Salem saw his cage open for a split second as the leader of the predators charged him. He pounced on his enemy knowing it was fight or die, barking at the others now doing the same, "Let's kick E.T's ass."

could go either way depending on the source material for the Werewolf. Some sources say only silver can kill them so if the Preds have no silver they die. In Monster Squad the werewolf reformed from being blown up with dynamite.

The template for these werewolves is the underworld lycans which have shown they can be killed without silver but it still takes a hell of a lot of effort and roughly equal physical power. Are they stronger than yautja it is difficult to say even I lean towards the predators.

Most Yautja would beat Underworld werewolves.
