Would it be dumb to restart the poitns latter every season or bi-annually or annually? the old favorites would have to take lumps with the new up and comers. It makes getting up to Famous a real accomplishment. I don't think we should strip people of Global and Cosmic ranking, just we should demote characters.

Maybe there'd be some kind of reward for a character hitting 500 points more than once, that character would earn a title as like "Khazan Media Darling" or something such like that.

Would that be dumb?

Yeah it wouldn't really work. 500 points to famous, 25 points a week, you'd could win 20 weeks in a row (4 months), without a single loss, to make it to famous. If you add a time limit to that, it really hampers the ability of new guys to rise through the ranks, especially if they have to fight piranha girl. The point of getting to famous is that you win, you don't have to keep fighting for eternity. I don't like the idea of getting demoted for stuff I achieved, don't take away my gamer-score type of thing.

But if you want to make getting to famous more of a challenge, all of y'all who have long since grown bored of submitting characters need to GET IN THE GAME! Global isn't the only arena around.Show the new whippersnappers how its done.

(I just finished a character btw. hypocritically, they're globals. But still.)

But deo, think about Slag's undefeated run to fame? Don't you wonder how far up that would go? Maybe she would have ended up a main event contender? Zombie Girl never got to fight Slag for "best Deojusto character" and they would eventually go head to head if we changed up the system.

In fact, this would allow us to have an all new round of main event contenders. Other people could get up over 600 points, because right now, they can't and there is no chance to supplant Landon Hexx as the highest point character.

If you think every three months is too frequent, then maybe once a year.

If you want, we could make it opt out. So if you want to stay at however many points you got, you could. Zombie Girl could stay up at 990 or, she could risk it all and fight her way through the undercards again against new enemies.

You say that throwing all of the old guys into the gallery would make it too hard for new guys to win fights? I don't think so. I'd vote Slag over Lady Watchfob any day even though Watchfob is older and has more points.

Speaking bluntly, It doesn't encourage me to write great characters when I know my babies may eventually just enter the white gates of pergatory, excuse the butchering, against the fodder that fills the street characters right now. I think that the hall of fame characters should be able to do something/anything instead of just waiting on the hold for the main event. I'm not sure how I feel about losing all my points and starting over, but there should be something.

Yes. And, it could be used to establish things like in the old gallery. Lt. for example.
