The red clad fellow approached her, and when he spoke, well, no point describing how his voice sounded. What's important were the words he spoke, words that no one could quite grasp what they were exactly, but it amounted to something like this:
"Miss Brooks, I'm the Dangerman. Long story short, I want you to join my company. You're precisely the kind of person we're looking for. You've got spunk. Someone who doesn't give up."
And for some reason, those words gave rise to conflict. A test perhaps? To judge her suitability? Or perhaps something else...
