I'll start with some I found, but please share any that you know of or find.
1) Take a potentially boring experience and re-imagine it in a way that makes it, very, very interesting. Under what set of circumstances would that experience be not boring?
2) In this world, the surface of the planet has become unlivable. Those who can have dug up their houses and taken to the skies. Write a story set in this world.
3) Write one sentence that no one on Earth has ever written before. How do you know?
4) Imagine being forced to fight to the death against your best friend. After a grueling battle, you are both awarded with your lives. Imagine the conversation afterwords, write that conversation.
5) Write as if you were a drop of water . Describe your journey weather through the oceans, rivers, mountain streams forest creeks, house pipes, city sewers, rain, hurricanes, whatever.
6) The main character or main villain from the last video game you played moves in next door to you. You have to be their mentor as they adjust to this world. What do you do to help them adjust? What skills do you need to teach them? How do they take it? Do you think you'd make a good mentor to them?
From Marvel Man
1) You're walking down the street in a very large city. Suddenly, you overhear a man cry out in exasperation, so you look over to see what the matter is. The man is speaking into a public phone. The type almost no one uses anymore. He asks what time the bomb is suppose to go off. As he says this, he glances up and happens to see you looking at him...
2) Congratulations! You've just won a once in a lifetime chance to travel to any place on earth, courtesy of a special offer by a famous airline. Write about where you go and why.
3) You're chilling at home when someone starts ringing your doorbell like a madman. Annoyed, you get off your couch and look through the peephole. A bloody, but otherwise gorgeous woman is standing outside. She looks like she needs help...
4) Eating at your favorite restaurant, you're just about ready to chow down on one of your favorite meals. Suddenly, the man in the next table begins to choke on a poorly cooked piece of steak. Acting selflessly, you jump over and save the man's life. As you look up, your work done, you see a small army of news reporters. A reporter from among the crowd asks what it feels like to save the life of multibillionaire oil tycoon, Marc Jacobs. The flash of a million cameras then blinds you...
Feel free to do the prompts on in this topic, in a CBUB match, for an FPL character, or any other writing project you are taking on. I'll try and keep all the prompts collected on this first post, for sake of convince.
