Their home planet in shambles, destroyed and polluted by years of scientific research and endless manufacturing of increasing powerful weaponry, the Poleepkwa, or prawn as they are more commonly known, are forced to leave their home planet in search of a new one upon which to settle on. The prawn pack hundreds of thousands, if not millions of their own onto their biggest vessel, one the size of a small city, along with as much of their precious powerful technology, and flee their planet in search of a better future, floating through the immensity of space, understanding how unlikely it would be for them to stumble upon a planet capable of sustaining life.
The prawn travel for an unknown amount of time, long enough for the current generation of prawn to be replaced by the next, and still the prawn searched tirelessly, seeking the new start they so desperately need. Unfortunately, the prawn are running out of time. They are running dangerously low on resources, and are in desperate need of more fuel for their ship. With all hope lost, the prawn stumble upon a planet containing large quantities of fuel close to the surface, easy accessible by the prawn’s mighty drills and environmental conditions ideal for producing food and other necessary resources. The prawn also identify a number of organisms living on the planet, which they may be able to convert into livestock. The planet is covered with a thick, lush forest, lacking any form of life other than a few insects, which seemed to pose no threat to the advanced prawn society.
With fuel and food dangerously low, the prawn descend down to the planet, and begin harvesting food and fuel immediately, and clear out a large section of forest for their new society. The prawns then send a few scouting parties ahead, in order to more accurately identify the nearby life and confirm that there is no danger towards the newly spawning colony, but discover nothing in the immediate area.
With the ship fully fueled, and the bones of society set into place, the prawn begin to search for valuable resources by flying into space and scanning the planet more thoroughly. They quickly discover a series of tunnel, spanning the entirety of the planet, possibly a series of mining tunnels left behind by some ancient society. With the hope that the tunnels would contain something of value, the prawns began to explore the caves, but to no avail. It seemed that no matter how many tunnels they explored, they all led to the same large chamber, containing nothing except for a large number of dormant eggs, which seemed to no longer support life, possibly left there by the same lifeforms who created the tunnel system in the first place. In order to better understand these organisms, the prawn take a large number of eggs back to their ship for closer examination.
The prawn scientists discover a series of astounding things about these life forms. First, these life forms in the egg were only some sort of parasitic stage, which would clamp onto the hosts face, and force a single egg down its throat, where it will lie until mature. When the organism has reached maturity, it bursts through the chest of the host. Secondly, the alien, and most likely the spawn from the alien, have acid blood, capable of melting through incredibly durable materials, such as the ones used to make the hull of their ship. Seeing the potential of this acid blood as a biological weapon, the prawn began to harvest the eggs and bring thousands of them onto their ship.
The six scientists stand at the ready, preparing to harvest the acid when horrifyingly, one of the eggs begins to open. The scientists look at one another searching for confirmation, or perhaps guidance on what action to take, when suddenly another eggs opens. Then another. Before the scientists have a chance to act, a facehugger flies out of the first egg and onto the face a scientist. Shocked, the others try to pull the parasite off of their comrades face, but whenever they applied any sort of force, the parasites tail would tighten around the neck of their fellow scientist. Here, the scientist realize the trouble they are in, but all too late, as three more scientists are claimed by the alien life form. The last two make a break for the door, trying their best to avoid the now constant onslaught of the alien parasite. As they near the door, the scientists realize, much to their horror, that a number of these parasites are waiting for them at the exit, blocking their only escape. With no hope of survival, the prawns sound the alarm alerting the rest of their kind of the impending doom.

As for the fight, I say the Prawns weapons are too messy. Although they know about the acid blood, that doesn't mean that they have a counter for it

I think the acid blood is the Xenomorph's only real advantage, the Prawns are stronger and have better tech. I also think the Prawn's will fair really well considering they actually have leadership, unlike District 9.

Subsequently, in "End of Universe Beta", armed with nothing but a Prawn Battle Suit, Karate Kid killed every single major hero in Earth Beta. This includes the likes of Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Allie Keys, Carrie White, Static, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, and Charlie McGee (TV tropes described Charlie as god-like in power).
I'm not saying what I wrote is canon or not, all I'm saying is that I myself consider the Prawn Battle Suit to be one of the most powerful weapons in the omniverse. Thus, the Xenomorphs are screwed.
