Millions of men and boys alike now lay dead strewn across the seemingly endless battle fields. All because of those dammed vampires. But of course there was no going back now.
The door to his office opened and his bodyguard led in two men he thought would help him end this war.
He addressed them, "James Logan, Victor Creed I'm sure you are both aware why you have been called." "Because wer'e the only soldiers youv'e got that stand a chance against those bloodsuckers the confederates turned loose." Creed growled. Logan said nothing, content to let his brother do the jaw-boning.
"I see you understand the nature of the enemy." We took down a whole squad of those freaks, we should. You should have seen their faces as they died, Mr President, like they couldn't believe it." Creed exclaimed with a smirk. " I know the look. I've faced many of their kind."
This suprised them, he went on, " You two posesse power that rivals or even sorpasses that of vampires. That is why you have chosen for this mission. There is a group of vampires who have joined the confederate cause, no doubht drawn to the ideal of a country ruled by the dead. Angeles, Darla, Spike and Drusilla. There evil has become legendary. They are probably the deadliest of their kind. With them at the lead of the confederate charge I fear the undead hoarde will be unstopable. If this country is to survive they must be destroyed."
Creed grinned "Mr president it would be our honour to serve this country, we have come to think of as our own, so." "Good. In the morning you will ride to Fort Minor where a friend of mine Henry Sturges and a trio of others will rendevous with you. They will take you to the vampires base and give you the plan of attack. To let you know now they are vampires themselves but they are on our side.
To Lincoln's suprise they took this information in stride as they were led from his office. Although considering what he had heard about them he doubhted that they were easily suprised.
Logan asked "What was that routine in there all about." "He was speaking my language. Fighting the deadliest killers in the world, sounds fun don't you think." He didn't answer.
The mutants and vampires had made short work of the living guards without making a sound. The enemy was feeding on slaves in the barn of this southern ranch. Inside the group of killers noticed the smell of smoke. As they fled from the burning barn their enemies were suddenly upon them. Logan ran straight for their leader Angeles.
Who wins.

However I think Wolvie wins. Angelus can't be killed except by standard vampire kill methods, but he can be wounded and incapped. Wolverine not so much, he'd shrug off most weaponry or blows vampires could muster. Angelus would give him trouble and in a situation like this he'd be more likely to take a hostage or run away, but in a straight up fight he'll get decapitated.

While i do think that Angel is skilled enough to block some hits, and while i know he could take a lot of stabs and slices to the body or limbs, he can be killed by decapitation, which is something Wolverine wouldn't take long to try out. Or Wolvy would just cut him to pieces, either way.

The Buffy characters' strength/speed/etc wasn't really impressive in the show, mainly because they had a limited budget. The comics have better showings. This thread has a decent collection of feats for them:
http://www.comicvine...-thread/646462/ (ignore the part at the end where the poster of the thread states the Buffy characters are close to Batman in terms of fighting skill and that they have high end healing factors, that's just pure fanwanking there.
Also keep in mind that Spike is considerably younger and weaker than Angel, so any of Spike's feats in that thread could be replicated by Angel, and then some.
In the end, Logan's claws will be too much for Angel. I just don't think it'll be an easy fight.

He's actually a Bullet Dodger too... just doesn't see the need for it due to his Skeleton and Regenerative Factor.
He's been shown being able to toss Ursa Major, in his bear form, nonchalantly with one arm. He's also supported the weight of a dozen full grown men... on one arm as well.
He's been put at most around 2 tons, which is enough to pretty much punch a hole through people's bodies, kick through metal doors, etc. This is also assisted by the Adamantium layering his skeleton so it just makes his blows all the more powerful even without the claws...
His senses are also enough to sense Angel's speed easily. From what I'm seeing, they're not showing anything that's on the Level of Tomi Shishido, The Gorgon, who's capable of moving 110+ mph in sprints. And Wolverine kept up with him (though he was being trashed in that fight and managed to pull a win via a trick).
Yes, I just read the comic vine thread and I thought I'd point out there wasn't really that big a difference between Wolverine and Angel in terms of Agility and Strength

It's unfortunate that the series can't show the vampire's feats to their fullest, but even in the comics Angel doesn't appear superior to Wolvy.
