It had all started in school assembly, Ed, Edd, and Eddy sat down as the guest Speaker Wile. E. Coyote was talking about how being a genius was worth it. Although he knew he shouldn't have shown them clips of himself trying to catch the Road Runner.

Eddy watches the clips of Wile E. Coyote literally getting blasted by the Acme products and getting injured by his own attempts by himself to get the Road Runner "Give me a break!" Eddy told the Coyote whom paused letting Eddy continue, although Double D, had a strange feeling he knew what Eddy was up to "Anyone could catch the Road Runner."

"Oh Eddy" Double D said "You aren't suggesting what I think your suggesting"

Eddy nods "Yes, anyone could catch a stupid Road Runner! If he's so smart then why can't he catch him...We have the power of three, we can catch the Road Runner!"

The principle of the school was about to stand up and shout to Eddy about disrupting the assembly but stopped when this gave Wile E. Coyote and idea "Oh yeah?" he asked Eddy "What makes you think you can catch the Road Runner?"

Eddy smirked "It's just a bird! Heck even Ed here has catch a few birds in his life!"

Double D watches as Ed simply climbs up a window seal after a bird but falls flat on his face and laughs at it "Uh Eddy, why do I have the feeling you are getting us into something that we will regret later on in life?"

Eddy looks at his two buddies "We can catch this Road Runner!"

Wile E. Coyote smiles "Alright, you think you could do better, then prove it."

The class all gasped at this the Coyote just told Eddy, to prove they could catch a Road Runner.

"No deal!" Eddy said "I'm not falling for that trick."

This would lead to his downfall and Double D knew it as the Coyote simply put it "I'll simply give you one hundred dollars if you can catch the Road Runner with all of us watching. Plus you can by Acme products."

Eddy's eyes widened "ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS? YOU GOT YOURSELF THE BEST ED, EDD, AND EDDY'S CATCHING ROAD RUNNER BUSINESS INTO BUSINESS!"

Wile E. Coyote turns to the white screen "Then come up here with your two friends."

Eddy runs up but Double D stays behind not wanting to embarrass himself in front of the class. Ed simply picked himself up and tried to get another bird again but Eddy turns "Oh, Ed! Think about the reward! One Hundred Dollars! That'll mean."

"A HOLE LOT OF JAW BREAKERS!" Ed proclaims he rushes in and with a "Come on Double D!"

"But Ed, this will lead us to our ultimate embarrassment!"

Eddy turns "Oh Double D, why so negative? We can catch this Road Runner!"

Double D sighs seeing that there was no point in stopping Ed from dragging him and agrees to try to help his two friends out.

The Coyote continues to explain himself as the The three step to a screen "You three have until the end of the school day to catch the Road Runner if you don't you fail" ""Yeah yeah" Eddy said "Just do it!" and with that, Wile E Coyote presses a button and the three are transported into the same dessert area where the Road Runner awaits it's new chasers.

As soon as the three get there the Road Runner makes it's annoucement towards them and rushes to them "MEEP MEEP!" this startles Eddy and he slams into Double D whom slams into Ed whom replies "Ha,ha,ha I got you Road Runner!"

Ed tries to grab the Road Runner but it takes off causing Ed to fall face first into the sand.

So can the three Eds catch the Road Runner? Or will they experience the same pain as the Coyote did? You're votes decide.

Also the Ed's can by Acme products if they wish.

Heh. This was one of my favorite Cartoon Cartoons. These guys... seem to fail a lot. I doubt they can catch the Road Runner.

Jesus, my internet service has been down all day thanks to a storm and a power outage. To help make up for it, I just edited the topic title for the correct name capitalization, partially in the hopes of EF having full character editing one day.

Anyway, this looks like a good matchup. Wish I knew a bit more about Ed, Edd n Eddy, though.

Here's how I see this playing out. After numerous attempts to catch the Road Runner, the Ed's give up and commence sulking. Then Eddy and Double D (that nickname will haunt him in later life) notice that Ed has caught it without meaning to. They then delight at the thought of the reward but Ed soon bonds with the Road Runner and lets it go. Assuming they have to bring it back to the school where I assume the coyote will eat it.

My only gripe is the Coyote talking. I mean... shouldn't he be a silent type? Other than that, it would be a fun match to watch with the Road Runner getting the best of the boys.

He talked in a few episodes when he was trying to catch Bugs Bunny.

Good matchup. I'd say that the roadrunner takes this one. If he's too good for Wile E. Coyote, Super genius, he's defitely too good for the Eds.
