Previously: Betrayed by the Tengu and Cyber Shedders, the human Shredder Oroku Saki went to the Power Rangers to help stop their inhuman ambitions. Shredder and three teams of Power Rangers (original, Zeo and Turbo) committed a strike on a facility that the Cyber Shredder fancied.

Instead of finding Foot to fight, they came across The Foot being slaughtered by the Sith apprentice Ventress and a group of darkside converts consisting of chi-powered fighters and unique Force-using mutants.

The Shredder was pleased with the Power Rangers that were with him. These were the ones that had potential. Once he destroyed the inhuman Shredders and killed every single clan member who had sided with them, he would rebuild The Foot. Those Power Rangers who survived this would be his foundation.

Jason was arrogant but his skills backed his pride. He would be Saki’s chief pupil.

Adam held back too much. He, more than the others, needed to be pushed to reach his full potential. With the proper motivation, the Green Zeo Ranger could be a most worthy Foot ninja.

Trini, his favorite, only needed to be lead in the right direction. With Jason and Adam joining Saki in The Foot, the Yellow Ranger would no doubt ally herself to the strength they represented.

They came across a battle between Foot who were actually doing well against the Dural robots. Shredder volunteered himself to the battle and was again pleased that Jason lead the others into joining him.

Eventually, Shredder and his Power Rangers allies found themselves facing off against the Elite team.

Their leader was an unmasked woman.

“Master Saki!” Karai glared at him, hurt and confusion in her eyes. “The Shredders have issued a mandate, to kill you on site! What has happened? Why did you betray The Foot?”

“I betrayed nothing, Karai!” Shredder remained still, although the insult rumbled through his voice. “These inhuman monsters who have adopted the Shredder mantel have betrayed humanity!”

“Mind if I cut in?” the Yellow Ranger did a flying sidekick between them and landed in fighting position just a few steps closer than Shredder was to Karai.

“You ally yourself with these weaklings!” Karai snorted at the Yellow Ranger.

“Weaklings?” Trini was insulted. “I’ll show you!”

Glad that his masked covered his expression, The Shredder took a step back, allow the two women room to fight. He liked Trini. She was at the top of his list for those Power Rangers who would help him to restore The Foot. It saddened him that Karai did not side with him, thus, she had to die. He was, of course prepared to do so, but what better way to test his selected supreme female warrior, Trini, than to let her eliminate her predecessor?

Another good set-up and matchup, leroy.

This is a tough one. Though Karai is definitely more skilled, Trini has more power with her abilities as a Power Ranger.

Again, I'll have to think on this one a bit.

Good setup and Trini wins. Trini's Power Ranger abilities will give her the edge she needs to win.

I'm enjoying this arc, Leroy. Trini seems to be the popular pick and probably for good reason, but I never witnessed her battle much less beat an opponent with half a brain. Fighting tough opponents makes you a much better fighter in the long run, so for me Karai > Trini.

B B from me. I suppose I should have read the previous ones to find out just why the Power Rangers are siding with the Shredder so I'll give the benefit of the doubt that there's a good explanation for that somewhere in the past ones. But mainly I give you a B because I like that this is from the point of view of the Shredder instead of the actual combatants. Other than that it's a decent set up. -Ruinus
