Bloodshot has been tasked with bringing down Omega Red a soviet experiment gone wrong. Omega Red has to live off the life forces of people to sustain himself according to files but that was then and this is now. Bloodshot continues to read up on his opponent and none of it is good. He thinks to himself how he may be able to use the fact that carbonadium poisons Red’s system to his advantage but unfortunately he will find out that this weakness is gone and the Soviet super soldier has used the Carbonadium Synthesizer and is now complete. Bloodshot doesn’t like what he is reading, and the fact that the files are wrong wont help either.

“Wolverine is tough, damn tough and he couldn’t stop this one. If I am to beat this guy I will have to pull out all the tricks”

Bloodshot puts the files away time to gear up. He loads up with weapons knowing that the will only be good for so much. He knows to finish Red he is going to have to get in close and get dirty. He is armed and ready. Mission time.

“You know there is to be no backup. This is you going in solo buddy. I don’t envy you.”

“Yeah lucky me. Hey see you soon…I hope.”

Bloodshot gets to the chopper a quick wave to his friend before he is off.

I’m about as ready as I will ever be he thinks to himself. How the *vulgarity* did I get myself into this? Sometimes I think the military life just isn’t for me. He chuckles a bit.

“Are you all right sir?”

“Yah just fine. Just thinking about how different my life would be if I didn’t sign up for this shit in the first place.”

“Don’t we all. We are at your drop point buddy. The rest is up to you.”

Bloodshot drops and lands soft. By the time he turns around the chopper is already out of sight.
He checks his wrist navcom. Target is ahead 2km. It doesn’t take him long to cover the distance. Bloodshot looks down from atop a high ridge. Red is down below. He grabs gear off his back and quickly assembles a rather odd looking sniper rifle. Aim and take the shot he thinks to himself. With a bang it is done. He scopes to see the target fall to his knees and then flat.

“That wont keep him down long. I have bought myself just enough time to get down there and finish up before he heals from that hit."

In a few quick jumps he is at Reds body. Before he has time to do anything a coil tears up from the ground behind him. Bloodshot is quick to evade it only to be caught by another. Omega Red rises to his feet with a sinister smile.

Bloodshot is thinking to himself that his calculations were spot on. Red should be down for at least another minute unless. The terrible realization enters his mind. Red has some how gotten access to the Carbonadium synthesizer. He is now more of a threat then ever and more powerful the ever.

Bloodshot is slammed into the sides of the rocky hill but manages to pull out a knife with and energized blade. He throws it spot on into the weak spot under the arm, armpit dead center. The knife penetrates Red and he relaxes his coils. Bloodshot is on his feet. He knows things just went bad to shit city. He grabs a small pack of pills and tosses them in his mouth. Biting down he feels there effect instantly. The steroid and genetic enhancers will only work for a short amount of time and he may still not be able to deal with this now complete Omega Red but he will give it his best shot. He quickly thinks to himself, well if I do die I’m sure they will bring me back again. A quick chuckle in his head and he is in the think of it. Blood will be spilled and one will come away the victor.

Ok, first the purely technical:

1. You haven't removed the text saying "rain Enter your Set-Up for the match here. This is your post - it belongs to you - and you may use the EDIT function at any time in the future to update this post.", it's annoying and disturbs the flow of the story.

2. There is no indication for 'thoughts', which leaves it up to the reader to guess when it's narration and when it's the characters thinking.

3. You keep repeating yourself: "Bloodshot has been tasked with bringing...", "Bloodshot continues to read up on..", "Bloodshot doesn’t like what he..". That's just from the first paragraph, and it keeps going through the entire setup.

4. Basic grammar/punctuation(and I suck at punctuation, so the fact that I notice it should tell you something).


I'm just gonna stop here. At best, I give it a D.

Cool to see someone using Bloodshot. I cannot currently grade matches, but I'd give this a 'B'. Basically the intro (which Methos pointed out) is in need of editing.

Superhuman strength (maybe 5 tons or so), speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes, plus a healing factor.

Basically, he's screwed against Red

He's also got nanites which give him technopathy I believe. But despite all this, he is still going to lose.

Bloodshot is awesome though. His series is what got me into comics.

Now it's true that Bloodshot's bullets won't penetrate Omega Red's Carbonatium Armour. However Omega Red won't be able to drain Bloodshot either. Bloodshot can special interface and either shut down or send a feed back pulse directly into Omega Red thus weakening him into defeat. Bloodshot is no wimp he's a weapon! Like Omega Red!

Eh, from what i know, Red has all the same abilities as, and is simply overall better then, Bloodshot.

Pretty much. Bloodshot is more skilled, but that's about it. Red's carbonadium tendrils will stop his healing factor, so as soon as Red gets his hands on Bloodshot, it's over.

Bloodshot vs Wolverine would be a great fight, but Red is just too much for him to handle.

If red can beat Bloodshot, then Wolverine can, too.

Red is immensely superior to Wolverine in every way. Seriously, with his list of abilities, he should be taking out Wolverine with ease every time they clash.

Frankly, I'd lean towards Bloodshot in a fight against Wolvie. He's superior in every way physically, has a healing factor that, while not as good as Logan's, is pretty damn close, has that nifty technopathic ability, plus he's got guns.

I don't think red is that superior to Wolverine, but i get ya.

Red- lift 20-30 tons
Logan- lift 1000 lbs max

Red- can take tank shells w/ no problem
Logan- will get tossed away, but survive

Red- can sap your life
Logan- can't
