This little topic post is to celebrate the most rediculously overused, overrated and overestimated characters on the CBUB database.

These are the characters you are sick to death of seeing all the time on the matches and rumbles, the ones that were once interesting, but because they're so overused, the coolness has worn off. Maybe you feel that there are some other way more interesting and original characters that should take the spotlight more often.

This topic will cover facts about why a certain character is overused, arguments about if they should or shouldn't be used less often and other stuff. You are welcome to voice your opinion about who you think is overused or underused in the comments.

Now, let's start this thing off!

Our first overused character of the week iiiiiiis....

DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR!

Many of you guys'll probably hate me for this, but seriously, why is this character used so often? I really don't find him very interesting. I understand that he is compatible in many different match-ups, but he really doesn't need to be as used as often as he is at the moment. Let's look at the facts.

He's a highly skilled mercenary.
He can use 90% of his brain at a time.
He uses guns and swords.
His mask covers half his face so he can see through only one eye.
He has heightened senses and abilities.
He's got a heaaling factor which drove him insane.

That may seem like a lot, but there are about a hundred CBUB characters who can probably do the same things. People often say he's cool because he has a healing factor and he has heightened senses, which makes him universally compatible against other superheroes like Wolverine, Daredevil and Deadpool, which is understandable. He is a pretty cool character overall, but is still way too overused, which is why he's the overused character of the week.

Do you disagree? Do you want to suggest anyone else who you think is overused? Leave us some comments!

So, the purpose of this topic is to draw more attention to characters you think are getting too much attention?

New overused character, or characters, of the week!

My Little Pony characters!

I have nothing against My Little Pony. Sure, it may be a cutsy wutsy little girl's show on the exterior, but the ponies themselves are the real awesome feature. But that being said, do we really need every single individual pony on the database? I mean, do they even get used on the matches page? I've never seen them on there. So really, this is more about overused characters on the database rather than overused characters on the matches page.

You know what? From now on, this thread will be solely for overused databse characters instead of overused match characters.

Anyways, I discovered this pony outbreak on the 'recent characters on the database' page. When I go on there, I expect to see some fresh new characters from different franchises making their first appearance on the database, but it's just pony, pony, pony, pony. I really see no point in it. A better way would be to just make a 'My Little Ponies' character, then specify which pony you're using in the match.

So, who do you think is the most overused characters on the database?

To be fair, if they're in the database, no one is annoyed with their overabundance of fight appearances; they're innocuous to us.

OP excepted.

We have tons of characters, from tons of mediums, not being used. Does it really matter? The more that's in the database, the more options people have for matches.

Exactly. I've been trying to branch out and use ponies in a set-up for quite awhile now. However, I only ever get a few paragraphs into my story before my arch-nemeses Lazy-Man and The Living Couch Potato spoil the fun.
