Just to let you know, there seems to be a douche in the judge's circle, who's going around giving bad ratings to a lot of set-ups. It's not just you.

Also, you seem to be under the impression that CBUB Match Judges, are judges for the tournament. That is not the case. It just means we can rate set-ups. Only like 5 people are assigned to judging the tournament entries.

One thing to consider, is that the Judges, are just a group of users who can rate the various matches rather than an organized group, and each one has a different way of rating.

Personally I would have given your match a B or a C, but if somebody votes based on grammar and various writing rules, then it is entirely possible that your match wasn't worth more than a F.

Since I, personally don't care about grammar, due to not being a writer, I couldn't really say whether or not it's true.

In my battle Power Girl vs Silver Surfer I got an unfair grammar rating.

Now that is PROOF of bias and to me it seemed personal. There are even some who SAID it didn't deserve the score that it did.

So that is a CLEAR example of BIAS by a JUDGE, not ALL of them or however it was done.

I got slammed simply because I don't agree with the grammar rule.

I don't know how to post the link here because it wont let me I couldn't figure it out.

Now, while I sympathize with your incredulity that you got an F, I have to point out that this is not an example of bias. This is an example of a single bad grade from, presumably, a judge that has strict grading ideas/woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Now, I'll have to direct you to the grades you received on that match:

C Very confusing and difficult to understand. Silver Surfer was rather out of character, too. Also a large mismatch in his favor.

Noticeably the F is the standout grade. However, I noticed that you aren't giving much thought to the 1 C, 4 Bs and 1 A that you received on the match. IF this was an example of some sort of judge bias against you personally you would have received no good grades. As it is, you are letting one example of one bad rogue judge giving you a shit score.*

If you want to show bias you'd have to show a consistent streak of terrible scores on otherwise good set ups. By that I mean a slew of these F grades on matches that people are giving good/respectable/nice reviews/comments on. And then you'd somehow have to prove it's the one judge doing this repeatedly over and over.

Now, at best if this keeps up or you can get other people to pool their good set ups receiving terrile scores you might have a good case to make the argument that the match grades have to be signed by the judge i.e. when Callisto posts the Match Final Results it should tell you which judge gave you what grade.

A side remark that kainboa mentioned about the judges. If you click on the Members List and hit "More Search Options" you can filter out to only search through the CBUB Match Judges. There are 49 such members listed as that (myself included). At this month's Challenge we have 5 judges (treacherous, Culwych and me along with Darkender and LoneWolf). So only 10.2% of the CBUB Match Judges are actually on the judging panel for the Monthy Challenges. It was even less (.6%) when it was just treach, Culwych and me during the first 3 months. And at best you have one example of one judge giving you a bad grade, all that shows is that there's one guy out there who gave you the shaft on that match. Chances are incredibly small that this same guy is on the CBUB Monthly judge panel.

*Though I would have advised you to add in quotation marks to show speech and capitalized all of the personal pronoun uses of I, even with those blatant grammar errors I wouldn't think you'd deserve an F.

Well, there have been instances in the past, where set-ups were getting a Bad rating from one person, while everyone else said it was Good, or at worst OK. There have been three set-ups that closed recently, with very low ratings from one judge. One of these matches was Anu's. Whether they were all given by the same judge, is beyond me, but it sure is fishy.

It's allowed to stand for precisely the same reasons your whining is allowed, who ever did it, merely expressed their own view on your match.

In this case, it is a singular person, giving you a bad rating, and you're automatically lumping all the judges into the same category.

Of course you can, however that same right is also given to every other user on the site, which includes the person who has given you the F rating, apparently he feels that the grammar in your match is bad enough that it deserves an F rating, and now you're trying to prevent him from saying how he feel.

Hypocrisy at it's finest, You want to be able to say what ever you want, however you don't want anybody else saying bad stuff about you.

Jesus christ. How old are you? I've never seen anyone act this childish on the internet. And we have 13 year old members. I saw AvP's facebook (CBUB GROUP, ITS COOL. NO REAL LIFE STALKING) and I thought that kid was legit in 4th grade. He acts more mature than you. I'm pretty sure that's not healthy for him, but whatever.

Dear Anu:

I am reading your comments and have been for a while and have come up with something to help you, but I want to ask you a few things;
1. Why do you care so much about the grades, they mean nothing and will get you nothing. This will not be in a resume and it will not get you paid.
2. You know that a few people in this site seem lame and use this site to think they are important, I won't say who, but right now it seems that you are the only one taking this site that serious.

Word of advise, keep doing what you are doing, don't stress over getting the approval of a few people,
There are those that like to educate people on here, there are those that kiss the butt of other more OG people on here and also the people that are cool and easy o get along with( the majority of CBUB is like this) and then there are people like you and like me lol. If I cared what people wrote about me I would have mo life. Hayes and a few others ignore me and I could care less..People discredit my comments as they think they are superior in "comic lore" really Anu WHO CARES

Ok, nothing but love for you. But let’s look at this statement you wrote, complaining about other’s criticism of your grammar;

You have to admit, the irony is delicious. Proof reading does help.
As for myself, if people put an effort (which you usually do) I let little things go and NOT affect the grade I give to a match.
I get a lot of bad grades too, but I get over them quickly. That’s how it goes here.
