You could make do with a katana in close quarters. You know the layout of the house, an intruder probably wouldn't, so you can be guaranteed to get up close if you can manage to think quickly and move silently enough. That said, a gun is a lot safer bet... but yea with all those restriction sounds like a head-ache.

I wish there were no such thing as guns honestly. You can train your entire life, be a brilliant fighter, great person with a family and having put countless gallons of blood and sweat into martial arts... learning tactics etc... A some 10-year old crackhead with a gun can end it all. One person with nothing to lose can kill dozens of people, affecting hundreds of families etc...

Hmph, east coast seems to have a penchant for overrating things. Compton is not a bad place to live, at all. I have had friends grow up there perfectly fine, not as much crime as the media would have you believe. Plus, you don't have to sell an arm and a leg to get firearm protection out here. What happened to right to bear arms?

Yea, but you have to be Jet Li to kill more than 1-2 people with a knife, or they have to be crippled or little kids (ex in china).. Everyone is going to run if you start stabbing people and you will have to chase each and everyone of them. Plus anyone can grab a chair and fight back. With a pistol, no one knows what's going on and everyone panics and the killer can mow people down.. like that one guy in Seattle who killed 4 cops on their lunch break. Try doing that with a knife or katana.

I believe Jack the Ripper proves your theory of having to be Jet Li to kill more than 1-2 people with a knife to be utterly wrong.

I meant like spree killing or mass murderers. Like if I just lost it and ran into the streets with a knife to stab as many people as I could before the cops showed up, I wouldn't have caught very many.

I don't know this 100% for certain, but I would assume someone who is being stabbed is going to scream a lot and make a racket. Then everyone is going to look at you with blood all over your hands and holding a knife, standing over a dead body. Then you have to basically be an ironman runner to catch your next victims.

It's funny that we are all talking about this, because for some insane and probably stupid reason-- one CBUB had decided to take it up themselves to go over and visit the door step of another CBUBer's house. Really, it just goes to show that none of us here really know who we really are but how we present ourselves to be on the internet. I mean do any of us really know each other, I mean... REALLY? No, of course not.

What concerns me is how this stalker had managed to get the address of this one person. Now I am pretty sure that information won't be divulged out but really, if information is given to explicit detail, then the finger obviously has to be pointed to the person who posted that information. Be it on their ElectricFerret profile or even their Facebook account. This just further re-enforces my will against in getting a facebook account. Weird shit goes on there... shit that sometimes even the Facebook staff won't handle... or chooses not to handle.

But for a person to actually deciding to come to a person's doorstep? Something is clearly wrong...

But, on a serious note. This is actually somewhat frightening news, for whoever this happened to. It's hard to believe that someone would do this and think it's okay. There's no situation where this would be okay (With the exception of actually KNOWING the person before hand). But showing up to a stranger's house is bad enough, and not reviling HOW you know them... that's even worse. No, it's not okay, and I hope it never happens again.

Note: I think it's common enough knowledge, but I feel the need to point out to anyone who doesn't know that The Blue Flame is my cousin.

By the way, on the subject of everyone here not bothering to show up at my house: you are actually right. You are indeed too apathethical towards me and too slackerish to bother to buy a plane ticket to show up at my house.

HOWEVER...Movie Brat is also a member of this site. And Movie Brat is highly paranoid and highly unstable, he has a legitimate beef with me, and is obsessive enough to pull it off. I'm not really worried about the rest of you, but I AM genuinely worried about the strong possibility of Movie Brat showing up in my doorstep. Which is why I choose not to reveal any personal info.

Also, I rarely use Facebook because I genuinely have no idea how to use it (insert obligatory "Redemption X is too stupid to use Facebook" comment).

Well, he did say he knew him from CBUB.

You know, so much of this "story" is beginning to stink. 1. Where did he get the info? 2. Why would he show up, say he knows you from CBUB, and then take off? 3. Why tell Fox? What on Earth is he going to be able to do about it? Calling the cops would have been a better course of action.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just a little too suspicious, but something smells here, and it ain't me. Or is it?
